JUSTIN ROBERTS: The following contest is set for one fall and it is for ... the WWE Championship!
Loud cheers in the arena as the WWE Universe prepare for the first of our three main event matches ...
A huge ovation for the Olympic Hero as he heads out with his Angle jacket on with the hood pulled over his head as he heads out looking purposeful and ready. He positions himself halfway down the ramp and points to the rafters with both hands and a display of red, white and blue pyro explodes in front of the titantron. Angle pulls down the hood of his jacket and soaks in the reaction before rolling into the ring underneath the bottom rope and saluting the crowd in the corners of the ring ...
JIM ROSS: The 1996 Olympic gold medal winner is back here in the WWE and he is ready to become the WWE Champion for the seventh time tonight!
MICK FOLEY: Question is, JR, can he do it? He is facing the Nexus juggernaut after all!
Angle is hopping from foot to foot as the referee speaks to him and the sound of his music dies out. Angle looks pumped up and ready to go tonight. Yellow lights appear in the arena and focus on the stage as the music of Wade Barrett signals the arrival of the WWE Champion ...
Barrett comes sauntering out with the WWE Championship buckled around his waist and he stands on the stage amidst the jeers and boos as he locks eyes with his challenger in the ring. Barrett starts to walk down towards the ring and it appears that he has come alone for his second title defence since he won the title at the Survivor Series ...
JIM ROSS: One of the most controversial WWE Champions of all time, Wade Barrett is here to defend the title on pay-per-view for the first time ever!
JERRY LAWLER: Controversial? Just a little bit! He didnt even win the title Justin Gabriel won it for him. And his one title defence so far was successful because of the actions of John Cena ... There are quite a few people who would say that Wade Barrett is not worthy of being the WWE Champion!
JIM ROSS: That is certainly the opinion of his challenger, Kurt Angle, King. He wants to restore the class that the WWE Championship deserves!
JERRY LAWLER: At least it seems that Barrett is coming to the ring alone tonight that makes a change! Oh, hang on, wait a minute ... What does he want?
Barrett stands at the bottom of the ramp and waves back to the stage to beckon somebody else down to the ring. Out heads Ezekiel Jackson the latest recruit of Nexus and he strides down the ramp to back up his leader. Barrett looks up at the ring at Angle with a cocky smirk on his face as Jackson stands behind Barrett looking up at the Olympic Hero as well. Both men enter the ring and Barrett holds his WWE Championship up high to signal that he is the champion and that he intends to stay the WWE Champion tonight ...
JERRY LAWLER: If I was the referee, Id banish Ezekiel Jackson to the locker room right now. No good can come of him being out here tonight!
MICK FOLEY: Big Zeke might be here simply for moral support, King ... Unlikely I know!
JIM ROSS: I fancy Wade Barretts chances a hell of a lot more if Big Zeke gets involved. Kurt Angle must keep this match inside the ring tonight!
We are one fades out and Justin Roberts lifts his microphone for the introductions. The referee is checking on the two men in the ring to ensure that they are fit to wrestle tonight and that they are not carrying any illegal objects ...
JUSTIN ROBERTS: Introducing first, the challenger ... From Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, weighing 240 pounds ... He is the Olympic Hero ... KURT ANGLE!
Cheers in the arena as Angle lifts his arm to acknowledge them but retains his focus as he stares over the ring at the champion ...
JUSTIN ROBERTS: His opponent, from Manchester, England, weighing 260 pounds ... representing the Nexus, he is the WWE Champion! WADE BARRETT!
Boos explode around the arena as Barrett holds the title belt up high and mouths at the crowd at ringside. Jackson rubs his hands together and nods his head before the referee ushers him to the outside clearly telling him to stay out of the match tonight. The referee then lifts the title high to show that the match is for the WWE Championship before signalling for the bell to start the match ...
WWE CHAMPIONSHIP: WADE BARRETT (c) vs. KURT ANGLE
Barrett and Angle come together in the ring, face to face, as the referee takes a step back and allows this WWE Championship match to begin. The cocky Englishman starts telling Angle once again that his time has been and gone and that there is a new power in town called the Nexus. Angle smirks and laughs at Barrett whose look turns to annoyance and he shoves Angle hard in the chest and sends him backwards a few steps. Advancing on the former Olympic gold medal winner, Barrett prods him in the chest as he further admonishes him before Angle suddenly responds, to the delight of the packed crowd, with a stunning right hand that rocks Barrett back on his heels. Punches from Angle continue as Barrett struggles to cover up and then Angle shows his wrestling superiority on the mat, at least as he takes down the WWE Champion with his leg and locks in a sleeper hold on the mat. Grapevining his legs around the champion, Angles looks to give Barrett a world of trouble early as he locks in and holds the sleeper but it is a little early for a move like that and Barrett manages to fight his way back up. With Angle holding on though, Barrett cannot free himself completely until Angle allows it as he lifts him up and hits a back suplex that crashes Barrett down onto the mat. First cover of the match from Kurt Angle the challenger ...

* The WWE Champion kicks out! *
Barrett wobbles to the corner and Angle rushes over with a hard clubbing clothesline that crushes Barrett back into the buckles. Barrett swings a wild attempt at a clothesline and misses German suplex from Angle! The Olympian holds on for the pinfall as Barretts shoulders are down ...

* Barrett rolls off his shoulders and escapes! *
Angle looks to hit another of his trademark suplexes but Barrett shoves him down and out of the ring through the ropes instead to buy himself some recovery time. Angle is shaken by this but not hurt as he gets to his feet shaking his head at Barrett and smiling it appears Angle as the Manchester born WWE Champion worried. Angle slides back into the ring but is immediately in trouble as Barrett catches him off guard with a spinning clothesline that crashes Angle down on the back of his head. Annoyed with Angles actions so far, Barrett tosses his challenger back out of the ring and follows him out before ramming him shoulder first into the ring post on the outside despite the protestations of the referee and WWE Universe. Barrett dares the referee to disqualify him which is refused; no cheap way out tonight for the champion. With Angle struggling, Barrett winds up for another clothesline but he misses as Angle ducks ... Bam! Barretts arm collides with the steel ring post this time as he clotheslines it hard. Angle responds with a belly to belly suplex on the outside that gets the crowd back on their feet before getting revenge on Barrett by ramming his injured arm into the steel ring steps ... followed by the rest of his body!
The referee is desperate to get both men back into the ring now and stops to check on the state of Barrett who is shaking his injured arm looking to get some feeling back into it. Angle stands back for a second ... Mistake! As he waits for Barrett, Nexus latest member Ezekiel Jackson ploughs him down with a huge clothesline behind the referees back. The crowd jeer but nothing has been noticed by the referee until he spies Angle on the floor clutching his head. Suspicious, the referee glances over towards Jackson but there is nothing he can do about it right now. Both the champion and challenger slowly get to their feet on the outside now and are up at the same point; however, Barrett gets the advantage as he hits a big boot to the face of Angle to send him down again. Rolling Angle back into the ring, Barrett winks to his Nexus team-mate before dragging Kurt to his feet in the ring. Three standing headbutts from Barrett leave Angle jelly legged but the challenger manages a weak uppercut with his forearm that rocks Barrett back a little. Angle hits the ropes and comes at Barrett again looking for a big hit Barrett responds by lifting Angle high in the air and then stepping back and letting the Olympian fall straight down from about eight feet in the air with a Release Flapjack. Barrett quickly hooks the leg and goes for the pin ...

* Angle kicks out! *
Barrett drags Kurt to his knees now and he starts driving his knees hard into the neck and throat area of the challenger as he tries to wear him down. In complete control right now, Barrett whips Angle across the ring into the corner, a hard slam into the buckles, before a back body drop to him as he staggers back from the corner. To Angles credit, he keeps getting back to his feet but Barrett keeps responding ... This time, a neckbreaker is used to take Angle down once more. Barrett with a pinfall ...

* Kick out from Kurt! *
With Angle face down and struggling a little now, Barrett takes advantage as he drags Angle to his knees and then locks in a surfboard stretch from behind. Pulling back on the arms of the challenger with his knee in the small of his back, Barrett is demanding that Kurt give up so that he can retain his WWE Championship. The referee is checking on Angle but there is no sign of a submission as he tries to fight through the pain instead. Twisting, Angle manages to get a leg out and begins to raise himself off the ground and out of the hold but Barrett responds with another headbutt and then whips the American hero to the corner once more. Going for another clothesline in the corner, Barrett misses this time as Angle ducks, another belly to belly suplex from Kurt Angle and Barrett crashes onto the mat. Angle senses an opportunity and makes the cover ...

* Kick out from the champion! *
Angle has a little advantage now though and the crowd are rallying behind him as he waits for Barrett to get to his feet. German Suplex! And another! A third German Suplex crashes Barrett down onto his shoulders and this time Angle holds him down for the pinfall, has he done enough here?
* 1 *
* 2 *
* Noooo! Barrett kicks out! *
The crowd groan in disappointment there and Barrett seeks a rope for some respite as he is shaken by the comeback from Angle. Barrett defends himself with a kick to the knee of his opponent before a powerslam leaves Angle down on his back. Climbing outside, Barrett ascends the ropes and positions himself on the top rope ready to pounce on Angle when he gets up. However, Angle is playing possum, he jumps up suddenly and steps up the ropes to hit a top rope shoulder drag to Barrett who crashes down and makes the ring shake to its foundations. Pinfall from Kurt Angle as he looks to win the title ...

* 2 *
* Kick out from Barrett! *
Angle was closer there than at any other point in the match so far and he climbs the ropes now as Barrett rolls in pain on the mat. Measuring his opponent, Angle pauses for a moment before sailing off the top rope and going for a diving headbutt ... and misses! Ezekiel Jackson managed to drag a groggy Barrett leg first and out of harms way and Angles head connects with nothing but the ring mat. The referee warns Jackson to stay out of the ring, he must have missed the interference there from the Nexus member. Barrett gets to his feet in the corner, using the ropes for support, before delivering a big boot to Angle as he gets up to his feet ... Bam! Its over! Barrett hooks the leg of Angle ...

* 2 *
* Angle kicks out again! *
A loud cheer echoes around Fort Lauderdale as Angle hangs on and keeps his WWE Championship hopes alive. Barrett looks frustrated now though and he drags the challenger up before whipping him to the ropes and hitting the pendulum backbreaker dropping Angle hard over his knee. Another pinfall from Barrett as he hooks the leg again ...

* 2 *
* Another kick out from Angle! *
A loud USA! USA! chant begins as the crowd back Angle 100% in his title quest. The chant though annoys Barrett who tells the crowd to shut their mouths before dragging Angle up. He lifts him to his shoulders, it is time for Barrett to finish Angle off once and for all ... Angle though wriggles clear down Barretts back and Wastelands fails as Angle takes Barrett down for a roll up pin ...
* 1 *
* 2 *
* Kick out from Barrett just in time! *
Another take down from Angle and he grabs the exposed ankle and leg of Barrett Kurt Angle is going for the Ankle Lock! Barrett realises and jumps up as Kurt holds his left leg ... Jumping on one foot, Barrett tries to escape from Kurt as he tries to lock in the deadly submission hold. Desperate times call for desperate measures for Barrett and he leaps up and hits an Enzuguri kick ... and connects! With Angle wobbled, Barrett lifts him up and drops him back with a back suplex. Recovering slightly now, Barrett locks Angles head between his knees and sets him up now for a powerbomb. Barrett heaves and manages to set it up ... Bam! Angles back and shoulders crash down on the mat, a huge powerbomb from Barrett, he goes for the pinfall ...
* 1 *
* 2 *
* Angle grabs the bottom rope! *
The powerbomb from Wade Barrett almost did for Kurt Angle there and forced him to take the easier route out of the pinfall as he was forced to grab the rope. Barrett locks Angle into an abdominal stretch as he looks to wear his challenger down further and to set up his Wastelands finisher further. Angle is desperate to escape the move though and the amateur trained wrestler manages to contort his body to escape from the stretch and roll Barrett down to the mat ... ANKLE LOCK! Kurt Angle locks in the Ankle Lock but Barrett is a tall man and he is close to the ropes ... He stretches out and cannot quite reach them. The crowd will Angle on as he puts tension onto the ankle of the WWE Champion who is looking as if he is about to tap out here ... No! Ezekiel Jackson pushes against the rope and moves it six inches closer towards Barrett who grasps it and saves his WWE Championship! Once again, the actions of Jackson were not noticed by the referee although most of the arena saw it and they are jeering as they let Jackson know how they feel about it. Angle looks frustrated now and he complains to the referee, he saw what Jackson did. In the pause whilst Angle complains though, Barrett takes advantage and recovers in time to back body drop Angle up and over the top rope as he looks to attack him. Angle is down on the outside whilst Barrett is down to one knee on the inside of the ring recovering from the Ankle Lock he just had to endure ...
With the referees count-out up to 6, Angle begins to stir and climbs onto the apron ready to return to the ring. Barrett is fully recovered though and a quick kick to the gut keeps Angle struggling before Barrett pops Angle off into the opposite ropes ... Sidewalk Slam! Great move from Barrett as he hooks both legs of the challenger ...

* 2 *
* Somehow Angle fights out again! *
As Angle gets to his feet once again, an infuriated Barrett once again looks to set Angle up for Wastelands as he lifts him onto his shoulders ... Angle though is not about to leave Fort Lauderdale without the WWE Championship and he elbows Wade in the head to wriggle out before suddenly lifting him up in the air ... ANGLE SLAM! KURT ANGLE HITS THE ANGLE SLAM! Wade Barrett is laid out on his back, his title in grave jeopardy now as the crowd urge Angle to pin the champion. Instead, Angle pulls down the straps on his singlet and the crowd begin to holler and cheer as he grabs the leg of Barrett once again ... ANKLE LOCK! WADE BARRETT IS GOING TO HAVE TO TAP OUT TO THE ANKLE LOCK NOW! Barrett screams in anguish as Angle locks in the Ankle Lock and it seems a matter of time now as Barrett is in the centre of the ring ... Barrett raises his right hand, ready to tap, ready to submit to Kurt Angle and hand him the WWE Championship ...
BAM! Suddenly, Angle falls forward and releases Barrett from the hold as he falls down face first onto the mat. Ezekiel Jackson stands over him and it is clear that he has just smashed Kurt in the back of the head with his forearm to prevent him from defeating Barrett and taking the WWE Championship. Jackson grabs Angle now and powerslams him not once, not twice but three times before lifting him up and wrenching him over his shoulders in the Torture Rack. The referee is demanding that Jackson gives this up and eventually he does dropping Kurt down to the mat where he lands close to a prone Wade Barrett. The referee considers disqualification of Barrett but then stops and reflects instead, he clearly indicates that Ezekiel Jackson is to be ejected from ringside. The crowd cheer in agreement but Jackson is angry and is shouting at the referee to disqualify Barrett. The referee shakes his head, he is determined that Barrett will defend the title properly tonight. Jackson exits the ring but continues his argument with the referee who follows him out onto the ramp and demands that he leaves. Out comes fellow Nexus member David Otunga and he puts an arm round Jackson and appears to be the voice of reason as he speaks calmly to both the referee and Jackson ...
Meanwhile, behind the referees back ...
JERRY LAWLER: Oh no! JR, look, Heath Slater, Skip Sheffield! What are they doing out here?
JIM ROSS: Turn around referee!
MICK FOLEY: Its a plan! Nexus have a plan to save the WWE Championship for Wade Barrett!
The referee is still talking animatedly with Otunga and Jackson at the foot of the ramp as Angle gets to his knees groggily ... BAM! A VILE, VICIOUS CLOTHESLINE FROM SKIP SHEFFIELD! Jeers and boos flood the arena as Heath Slater positions himself opposite Angle as he tries to get up once again. The One Man Rock Band has the WWE Championship belt of Wade Barrett in his grasp and he is preparing to use it ... BAM! TITLE BELT TO THE HEAD OF ANGLE! The challenger is down and out as Slater and Sheffield exit the ring just in time for the referee turning round and heading back into the ring to see both Barrett and Angle on the mat. Slater and Sheffield sneak round the ring out of the view of the referee and they join Otunga and Jackson at the top of the ramp as Barrett gets to his feet to a chorus of jeers and boos. Smiling to himself, Barrett drags a limp Angle to his feet and lifts him onto his shoulders. Looking straight out into the eyes of the WWE Universe and the cameras at home ... WASTELANDS! BARRETT HITS WASTELANDS!

WINNER: Wade Barrett (17:35)
JUSTIN ROBERTS: Here is your winner and STILL the WWE Champion ... WADE BARRETT!
A relieved Wade Barrett rolls out of the ring where Heath Slater and Skip Sheffield join him on the ramp to present him with his WWE Championship belt that he has managed to retain tonight. Ezekiel Jackson and David Otunga come back down the ramp and they join their Nexus team-mates in a celebration at the foot of the ramp. Barrett is delighted with the victory and he holds the title up high in celebration before ordering the Nexus group to get back in the ring where Kurt Angle is slowly recovering ... Barrett and Nexus stand over Angle as he gets to his feet and the Nexus music fades out as they look at him menacingly. The crowd are jeering Nexus but it appears that Kurt Angle is in trouble after his recent comments.
JIM ROSS: Wait a minute, this isnt needed!
JERRY LAWLER: Since when has that mattered to Nexus, JR, they seem to be able to do what they want, when they want.
JIM ROSS: Theyve retained the title, they should just leave ...
Angle, realising that he might as well go down fighting, swings out and lands right hands on Wade Barrett before the numbers game pays off for Nexus and they rest of Barretts men drag Angle back and start to deliver the punches. Angle is knocked down to the ground and they start to lay the boot into him as well and it appears that Angle is in for a beatdown when all of a sudden the crowd start to cheer and get to their feet ... Attention turns to four more men running down to the ring led by the new Number 1 contender Triple H and they slide into the ring and tackle various members of the Nexus ... Barrett is knocked down by Triple H and he ends up clotheslining him over the top rope; Daniel Bryan hits a drop kick from the top rope to David Otunga that sends him crashing through the ropes to the outside; a series of kicks from the newest RAW recruit Rob Van Dam take down Heath Slater who is then hit with a running knee in the corner that takes him out; Justin Gabriel also hits a series of kicks to Skip Sheffield before he staggers into Triple H ... PEDIGREE! Ezekiel Jackson, still beating on Angle, is distracted by Gabriel and this allows Angle some space ... ANGLE SLAM! With the other members of the Nexus hobbling away up the ramp, Skip Sheffield and Ezekiel Jackson are down and out in the centre of the ring. Triple H encourages Justin Gabriel and Rob Van Dam to go to the top rope on opposite corners and they size up their foes ... Gabriel hits a perfect 450 SPLASH to Sheffield at the same time as RVD flies off the top rope to hit a FIVE STAR FROG SPLASH to Jackson.
JIM ROSS: Wow! For the first time in a long time, Nexus is on the run!
JERRY LAWLER: Now these guys are going to find out what it means to have a target on their backs!
Daniel Bryan, Justin Gabriel, RVD and Triple H console Kurt Angle as his music begins to play despite the disappointment etched on the face of the Olympic Hero. Triple H locks eyes with Barrett from the inside of the ring ...
MICK FOLEY: At the Royal Rumble, guys, Triple H will face Wade Barrett for the WWE Championship! Will it be Game Over! for Wade Barrett and the Nexus?

*** IF YA SMELL WHAT THE ROCK IS COOKIN ***
JUSTIN ROBERTS: Ladies and Gentlemen, please welcome one of the NXT Mentors for Season 3 ... THE ROCK!
The crowd here in Fort Lauderdale go wild as the legendary Rock heads for the ring with his usual swagger. He has a custom made t-shirt that states I BRING IT with the NXT logo and then the words SO CAN YOU! which is clearly a reference to his team of NXT stars. Rock strides to the ring milking the adulation of the crowd and enters the ring before performing his usual routine in the ring with his eyebrows and hand raised as he smells what is cooking in the arena ...
JIM ROSS: The Great One is back for NXT Season 3, what a show that promises to be!
MICK FOLEY: Even though I was considered the veteran at the time, I can tell you that I learnt so much from the Brahma Bull when I was in a tag team with him ...
JERRY LAWLER: The legendary Rock n Sock Connection happy memories, Mick!
MICK FOLEY: Sure was, King, I cant wait for the first NXT show this week to see how this goes down!
Rock has a microphone and he stands in the centre of the ring as he takes in the cheers of the crowd ...
THE ROCK: Finally ... The Rock ... has come back ... to Fort Lauderdale!
Huge pop from the crowd here tonight who are pumped to see Rock back in the WWE and here tonight ... A loud Rocky! Rocky! chant begins and lasts for almost a minute as Rock looks around the arena with a smile on his face ...
THE ROCK: Fort Lauderdale, Florida ...
The Rocks homestate crowd cheer like crazy again to delay Rock even more ...
THE ROCK: This week, the new series of NXT will begin ... and this time ... it will be ... the most electrifying show in sports entertainment today!
Loud pop once again ...
THE ROCK: In just three days time, The Rock, the Peoples Champion, will take four WWE superstars and mentor them as they fight for their careers here in the WWE. So far, The Rock has been introduced to two of these four guys ...
Rock looks round at the audience showing mixed emotions about his two picks so far ...
THE ROCK: First of all, The Rock will mentor the man who thinks that he is ... perfection ...
Jeers for the man who Rock is talking about ...
THE ROCK: ... Dolph Ziggler! Now, Ive been away for a while, as you know ... But Dolph Ziggler? Perfection? Oh yeah, Dolph Ziggler is perfection all right. Perfect at choosing the wrong woman to walk to the ring with? Perfect at throwing away a promising career? Dolph Ziggler, your monkey ass is not perfection, I guaran-damn-tee you that!
Cheers for Rock but there are some boos ... After all, Dolph Ziggler is also from Florida!
THE ROCK: Now, Dolph Ziggler better keep his mouth shut and his mind focused. Dolph Ziggler had better listen to The Rock, he better know his damn role and shut his damn mouth ...
???: EXCUSE ME?!
Boos and jeers erupt around the arena as Vickie Guerrero walks out onto the stage and starts to berate the crowd ... Following behind is the man who The Rock is talking about ... Dolph Ziggler!
VICKIE GUERRERO: I said Excuse Me! ...
THE ROCK: Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa! We all heard what you said, Vickie. The whole of Florida heard what you said!
Vickie smiles and focuses on The Rock ... She pats Dolph Ziggler on his shoulder before speaking again ...
VICKIE GUERRERO: Now, listen to me, Rock. You might be the mentor of my man, Dolph Ziggler, on NXT Season 3 but I am his manager and I will be in charge of his career.
THE ROCK: You? In charge? I guess that tells us where the strudel is in your relationship then ...
Dolph is irate on the stage as he goes mad and tries to storm down towards Rock ... Sensibly, Vickie holds him back and retains her composure ...
VICKIE GUERRERO: Rock, you will respect me when you speak to me. Dolph is my client, he is my man. You are only here to give him advice and that is what you will stick to. Two weeks ago on Monday Night RAW, you hit the Rock Bottom on Dolph and I am out here tonight to ask for ... no, I am out here to demand ... an apology.
A wide grin spreads across the face of Rock as he looks out towards Ziggler and Vickie ...
THE ROCK: Vickie, Vickie, Vickie. Is that what you think?
Vickie nods her head despite Dolph looking hesitant as if he senses where this might be going ...
THE ROCK: You want me to give an apology to little bitty Dolphy baby? Is that what you think I should do?
VICKIE GUERRERO: I think that would ...
THE ROCK: IT DOESNT MATTER WHAT YOU THINK!
The Fort Lauderdale crowd go wild as Rock completely owns Vickie Guerrero who looks furious ...
THE ROCK: I am the mentor of Dolph Ziggler in NXT Season 3, the most electrifying man in ALL of entertainment ... And let me tell you something, Dolph, youd better listen to every piece of advice I give you and youd better start laying the smackdown on candy asses ...
Ziggler is listening despite the insult to Vickie Guerrero a moment ago ...
THE ROCK: Youd better start earning my respect, proving to me that you are what you say you are ... Now get your monkey ass out of here before I come and whip it all over Fort Lauderdale for you!
Slowly, Ziggler and Guerrero head out of the arena as Rock grins a cheesy grin and waves them goodbye.
THE ROCK: Ill see you two on NXT! My second guy is someone that The Rock respects one hell of a lot. The Rock knows that this guy is going to join him on NXT and help him beat the hell out of a man named ... J ... B ... L! That man is from one of the most legendary families in wrestling history ... That man is CHAVO GUERRERO!
Cheers for the mention of Chavo Guerrero who is not here in the arena tonight. Rock continues ...
THE ROCK: And now tonight, I am going to find out who the third member of Team Bring It will be before the fourth man is announced tomorrow night on Monday Night RAW!
Rock adjusts his shades and looks up at the titantron awaiting his third guy for NXT Season 3 ...
JUSTIN ROBERTS: Ladies and Gentlemen, please welcome the other NXT Season 3 mentor ... JOHN BRADSHAW LAYFIELD!
JBLs limosine pulls into the arena and the driver gets out to open the door and allow JBL to get out and wave his hat in the air to the WWE Universe. A huge, beaming smile is on the face of JBL as he heads for the rampway and he looks like he is heading for the ring but thinks twice before backing away up the ramp and opting for the safety of the stage instead ... JBLs music fades and he prepares to speak ...
JBL: Ladies and Gentlemen, have no fear ... your wrestling gawd has arrived here in Fort Lauderdale!
Boos and jeers echo through the arena as Rock looks mildly amused by the comment from JBL ...
JBL: As you all know, JBL is a very, very successful businessman. I take calculated risks and they pay off, I do not take stupid risks. Last week on RAW, I went out and I paid cold, hard cash to get me an insurance policy. I took a calculated risk ... and I ensured that Drew McIntyre would join Team JBL on NXT!
More boos for JBL ...
JBL: You see, whilst Rock here has charisma, I have the money, I can buy whoever I want to buy. When I pass on my experience to the Sinister Scotsman Drew McIntyre, he will destroy every member of Team Bring It and Rocky ... he will destroy you too!
THE ROCK: Is that a fact?
JBL: Youd better believe that it is a fact, Rock. Drew McIntyre is the man who will lead my team, the great JBLs team, to victory at WrestleMania 27!
THE ROCK: Are you finished?
JBL: Youd better show me a little more respect, boy, I am the big draw around here now. I have been listening to you arguing with Dolph Ziggler out here, it is embarrassing. You need to make your team feel like a million dollars before NXT begins and you are failing miserably yet again ...
THE ROCK: Im glad you mentioned that. You see, Ive been talking to somebody earlier today who isnt feeling like a million dollars, you may know him ... Kaval?
JBL turns his nose up and shakes his head ...
JBL: That little runt doesnt interest me, Rock, I only back winners!
THE ROCK: JBL, you are a complete and utter joke. When NXT begins this week, my team will be united and I will be waiting ... ready to layeth the smackdown on your candy ass at the drop of a dime ...
The crowd go wild ...
THE ROCK: Im going to take that limosine ... polish it hard, shine it up real nice ... turn that sumbitch sideways ... AND STICK IT RIGHT UP YOUR CANDY ASS!
JBL shakes with rage as the Fort Lauderdale crowd chant Rocky! once more ...
THE ROCK: And now, let me entertain you in the way that only the Rock can, let me introduce you to the latest member of Team Bring It ... Let The Rock ... and the millions ...
The crowd join in and shout And Millions! ...
THE ROCK: ... of The Rocks fans know who is joining our team ...
The titantron sparks into life and the whole of the WWE roster begins to flash up for a nano-second at a time before a loud explosion signals an image on the screen ...
Rock smiles as he finds out that the third member of his team joining the already announced duo of Dolph Ziggler and Chavo Guerrero will be the rappin superstar ... R-TRUTH!
JBL: Hold it right there, I think it is time to find out who my third team member is ... Im not interested in having the likes of R-Truth on my team ... So, without further ado, who is joining Team JBL as the third member of the team?
Attention turns to the titantron again but this time for the reveal of JBLs team member who will be ...
JBL looks confused by this one at first but he slowly seems to come round to this and begins to nod his head in appreciation. The Rock looks unimpressed but JBL looks down at the ring and begins to address Rock once more ...
JBL: Oh dear, oh dear, oh dear, Rock. You get R-Truth who only achievement is being the worst rapper that the world has ever seen ...
Boos from the crowd ...
JBL: ... whilst I get a man who, with a little bit of guidance, could well be ... half man, half amazing ... the former highest paid member of the SMACKDOWN roster ... MVP!
Rock stifles a yawn in the ring before replying ...
THE ROCK: JBL, you talk about MVP and R-Truth as if I care about what you think ...
JBL: No, no, no, no, no, Rock! I am a Wrestling God and I am demanding respect from you. If I dont get it, I will ensure that you respect me. Trust me, I am going to win NXT Season 3!
THE ROCK: JBL, you will get no respect from me, all you are going to get from The Peoples Champion is the ass-kicking that your monkey-ass deserves from the Jabroni Beating ala lalalalalal, pie-eating ...
JBL: Oh my gawd, will you please shut up?!
Boos for JBL interrupting Rock when he was getting on a roll ...
JBL: All we ever hear from you is the same old rubbish, Rock. Where have you been for seven years? Where have you been while I have been making millions and millions of dollars? I am successful at every single thing I do and on NXT Season 3, I will be successful again!
THE ROCK: You know what, JBL? The Rock cannot wait to kick your ass. I will see you on NXT ... and I guaran-damn-tee that I will ...
Noise in the arena as something happens of camera ... Suddenly, Rock is sent crashing down to the mat face first after being attacked from behind by Drew McIntyre. Drew sends the boots to the Great One before locking in the Future Shock DDT ... The WWE Universe urge Rock to break free ... but to no avail. FUTURE SHOCK DDT! Boos and jeers erupt around the arena as Drew slowly makes his way up the ramp towards JBL ...
JIM ROSS: What is the matter with Drew McIntyre, King? Where did he come from?
JERRY LAWLER: He came through the crowd, JR, he looks like he is completely on the side of his NXT mentor, JBL!
MICK FOLEY: Knowing JBL and how he acts, that is probably a good thing for Drew McIntyre!
McIntyre shakes hands with his NXT mentor who is beaming with pride after Drews actions. A groggy looking Rock is slowly getting back to his knees and glares after McIntyre and JBL as they laugh and leave the arena with the crowd booing and incensed ...
JIM ROSS: NXT Season 3 promises to be very interesting now!
The cameras switch backstage where John Cena is shown preparing himself with his arm band and his wrist bands. Gone are the flashy coloured ones of old and they have been replaced with black ones with the You cant see me! logo.
