For PS4, is anyone playing The Division, and if so, what are your thoughts? FPS isn't my favorite genre by any means, but I'm having a lot of fun with it. No contest for me regarding enjoying Division much more than Call of Duty.
Well good news then, The Division is a TPS!
As for its quality...it's okay. I've put in some time on the game, but I think that I've gotten as much enjoyment out of it that I'm going to get. I have all high-end equipment, but I'm not one of those players that meticulously chooses their gear so that each bonus from each piece is perfect for the build, resulting in having a damage output that can single-handedly take down elite enemies.
Playing that game honestly is also a liability. The majority of people in the Dark Zone use exploits to constantly get the best gear which they either equip or sell so they can buy better gear when it becomes available. So you can either exploit and grind (which is SO boring, I tried it once and it sucked) and succeed, or you can play the game honestly and get left behind as players with better equipment either exclude you from Dark Zone missions because your gear isn't good enough, or you get killed by Rogues in the Dark Zone that have perfect equipment for killing other players.
I believe it was the developers that said the game is actually fundamentally broken and that it's impossible to fix it to prevent exploiting, and even cheating. I don't know if that's just true of the PC version or the console versions as well, but it shows you how fucked up that game is.
I don't fully understand why players sacrifice fun game play and challenging missions for exploiting and grinding. I get that you get better equipment, and I suppose the fun of the game comes from constantly improving your equipment, but it seems dumb to just power through a carefully designed level with like, 12 other people exploiting it for four hours just to get a few pieces of gear that are helpful.
Duelyst. Check it out. It's essentially Hearthstone/M:tG meets Final Fantasy Tactics. It works on the same payment model as Hearthstone; free-to-play, get cards quicker by sending money.
Look me up as Tyranaes if you want to get sniped down by my Songhai Ranged deck.

That does look pretty cool, might be a fun way to kill some time.
I have this existential problem when I play games like Hearthstone, though, where it's almost entirely multiplayer and the only objective is to make your deck stronger. I'll play for a while, get pretty good, make a good deck, be satisfied with everything... and now what? The only way to improve your deck after that point is to either pay money or play so often that you get lots of currency to buy packs and even then you rarely pull anything that will be of use to you. It's at that point I realize that there is no point to this game and that I can play for years and years and even if I do get lucky and get the right pulls and put together a great deck and become dominant, at the end of the day I'm only succeeding at a game that I downloaded to pass the time when I'm taking a dump and that nobody will care when I'm dead.
So I generally try to stay away from these types of games, but this one looks cool.
