DX vs. NWO

Which do you prefer? DX or NWO? I'm talking about classic DX(Triple H, Chyna and HBK) and classic NWO(Hulk Hogan, Kevin Nash and Scott Hall). I personally preffer DX. They have better talent. I also liked some of the angles DX brought. No doubt both stables were huge. Hulk Hogan turning heel for the first time in a long time. I just think that NWO got old fast after seeing them do the same old shit. They stopped getting extreme. WWF provided so many new angles and feuds with DX. They made women in the crowd flash there tits. Undertaker vs. DX, Bret Hart vs. DX and etc. They also had Chyna wrestle other male wrestlers. Whenever you saw DX, you had the feeling that anything could happen.

i would say nwo, because the dx of the attitude era(hhh,NAO,xpac,chyna) was the best dx i think, but the original nwo(hall, nash,hollywood) was sick. they originated or lets say brought back alot of cool concepts.

As far as the "cool heels" thing, the NWO beat DX to it by a solid year in advance. They innovated the entire thing when it came to that style of character development in the Big Two. I enjoyed the bits from the NWO more because they were funny, but they were also a dominant force in the company and actually served a purpose storyline-wise (to take over WCW). DX was just a ripoff that was utterly pointless in the end because there was no real rhyme or reason to any of it (especially after the Canada/US angle died). Granted, they had some funny bits (I thought most of them were stupid), but the purpose for them existing was just to push censorship buttons. Big deal. Besides, I'll take a survey from Hall and Nash over Shawn flashing his ass to the camera any day. Call me crazy, but that just doesn't strike my fancy. Neither does seeing Chyna and her Jay Leno chin.

Defiantly the NWO. I like DX but all it was, was a modified NWO. NWO was anti establishment and every one loved it.

NWO without a doubt Hogan turning heel was one of the most genius things ever and NWO was trying to take over WCW I dont know what the hell DX was doing they were just a ripoff to get viewers back I hated when they pulled that dumb prake and tried to break in wcw personally eric bischoff should of let them in and had that butts kicked

Well if you're doing the original three of each, NWO wins hand down. NWO was just amazing the first few months, hell even when they got up to Syxx it was still pretty bad ass. You had Hall and Nash, who most people that were just turning in thought a real invasion was happening. And then easily top 5 wrestling moment ever, Hogan Heel Turn.

You had to watch it as it happened to appreciate the value of the NWO. Here you have 3 bad asses just whooping everyone's asses in site. Rey Mysterio getting launched into the trailer like a Long Dart was one of the first true badass backstage moments ever. The NWO was responsible for the WWE to change it's attitude.

Now the Original DX, along with Rick Rude, was amazing as well. They helped to launch the Attitude Era along with Steve Austin. The first incarnation of DX was easily better then DX 98 with Rockabilly and the Real Double J. The S*ck the Chef Shirt, the State of the Union Address, all just classic moments in the history of the business.

In the end though, I think DX has more staying power. They haven't run it into the ground as much as the NWO. DX always has felt like a legit powerhouse in the business, whereas the NWO's countless versions and returns, and quite frankly, guys like Buff Bagwell and Scott Norton, just drug the sonofabitch into the ground.

If you go top 3 vs. top 3, NWO hands down owns DX. If you're doing the overall body of work, DX is better.

I voted DX although i always thought Shawn Michaels was gay lol. The majority of the time when Hogan was wrestling you always knew a run in was happening. DX had better moments if you ask me although Hogan telling the fans to stick it was hilarious.

I choose NWO as well. I choose it more because WCW used the element of suprise to bring them togeather mixed with a bunch of other stuff. I dont know if the IWC was around back then and if it was, it was illuded from the young kids minds. I was young when this happened so every thing that I saw suprised me. Hogan turns heel. Even though he was getting booed back then I still loved him. A lot of kids my age loved him. Scott Hall and Kevin Nash who were just on WWF television appear in WCW and declare war. Everyone is shocked and don't know what to think. They announce a 6 man tag and that they have a 3rd member. So at Bash at the Beach it would be Scott Hall, Kevin Nash and ??? vs. Savage, Sting, and Lex Luger. Hulk Hogans comes out to cheers(wether WCW piped those in is still unknown) and everyone thinks he's going to help but no he turns heel. The way it came togeather was just genius and well planned out.

DX was just a rip off of NWO imo. DX did extreme things like made girls flash but NWO beat guys up and dominated WCW for a good while now. We saw the re-birth of war games with NWO vs. WCW and etc. Then they all claimed the majority of WCW titles. Kevin Nash and Scott Hall quickly became WCW tag team champions and Hulk Hogan became World Heavyweight Champion. Shawn became WWE champ but HHH and Chyna had little success until HBK's injury.

Overall I think DX was better though because I only liked NWO when they were the originally three. When they started adding almost the whole roster it started getting boring. When Eric joined and Macho man joined I was suprised and excited. WCW kept adding members so the element of suprise went away because you start to think anyone can get into the NWO. While DX is kept at five members and calling out WCW and shit. NWO > DX when its Hogan, Nash, Hall vs. HBK, HHH and Chyna. Ravishing Rick Rude was good also but he wasnt there for a long time.

the nwo was huge it was an ivansion of wcw where the bad guys won hack they had there own ppv who ever thought hogan would turn heel and when scott steiner turned on his brother was good to and having sting as the wcw savoir coming from the celing and not talking for over 2 years was great to nwo died when hogan lefted and scott steiner became the leader and when the wolfpac came it was pretty cool but useless

While I'm a huge NWO fan, and will always be, this question is very easily DX for me.

Maybe it has a bit to do with DX coming around in my adolescent years, when you're at your most rebellious. Maybe it was because I honestly didn't watch WCW until about 1999(I've gone back since then and now own all the Nitros from 96, 97). But the bottom line for me was that I always just enjoyed DX more. They were more then just rebels in my eyes---they were fuckin' cool. It wasn't often a wrestler or wrestling group would come along and just be straight up cool as hell. You can argue the Four Horsemen but they were never really rebels in my book.

Everything about DX just appealed to me. The music, the wrestlers(all of 'em, from Chyna, HBK, HHH & Rude to New Age Outlaws and X-Pac)or the crotch chops which were like a whole new way to flip the bird at somebody. How often can a wrestling group say they created a new hand gesture that is still commonly used? Shit I remember people doing the crotch chop who didn't even watch wrestling or know who the hell DX was!

NWO was badass, don't get me wrong. But DX was just the better group IMO. NWO never really had any of those moments that made you laugh your ass off, or they never had any single promo that stood out for me. DX had a ton---be it the press conference on swearing, the cookout, or my all time favorite promo in wrestling---when DX imitated the Nation (complete with X-Pac coming out in a fatsuit as Mark Henry with the words "Beefcake" on the shirt xD).

DX hands down for me personally.

i would not have ended up watching wrestling if it wasnt 4 the nWo. dont get me wrong i like dx but i do knw dae r a complete ripoff of nwo vince would have never had the dx storyline if nWo wasnt round. da nWo storyline is the most succesfull ever there would be no 84 weeks in a row if it wasnt 4 nash and hall!!!!
