[DC/Marvel] TV Shows/Movies Discussion Thread

What do you guys think if DC combined their TV-verse and their movie universe? I know the producers have said that they aren't doing it but what if they did? There are so many timelines that can occur. All they really need to do is make Flash an integral part of all this. I think it'd be cool to see on the big screen but it can get complicated. But yeah, just wondering. What do you think?

TV to film wouldn't be a problem, at this stage the other way around probably would be. Would probably make it a bit harder to find a director if they are/were told they have to incorporate all these pre-existing characters and actors that they may or may not want to have

Sell it to me, Lee. From one person living in Britain to another.

@JamJam: Haven't seen Ant-Man yet, don't really intend to. I'm cutting down my Marvel consumption down to Black Panther/Captain America/Guardians of the Galaxy to make way for DC films so I don't burn out on superhero films and tropes.

If I can find them, I had the full intro as TIm Drake to him becoming Robin. I'll check my Dad's next week, think they me be there.

So I know I am a little behind but I finally got around to watching Daredevil and boy am I glad I did. The fight scenes were amazing, the acting was pretty good, and the story line was awesome. I think my absolute favorite part with the portrayal of Wilson Fisk. He was tough, strong, and perfectly done.

Also, you can't go wrong with Ben Affleck as Daredevil.

So a Thunderbolt TV series may be in the works to debut on Netflix. Guess it's Marvel's way of countering DC's Suicide Squad. I'm honestly not tired of superhero movies/shows So keep them coming I say.

It's completely unnecessary. DC don't need a shared universe between film and TV in the same way that Marvel do (And Marvel NEEDED it for Agents of Shield). DC never had issues with TV shows. Daredevil is more or less separate from the film universe anyways.

Why bother destroying what Flash and Arrow and their universes established? Why try and force Supergirl, a show with so many tonal shifts, into the universe? What kind of a masochist would want Gotham's writing as part of the cinematic universe? Nobody would benefit from merging the universes.

Pretty much. Not to mention it plays to DC's vastly underutilized strength as a multiverse, in comparison to Marvel's far more limited offerings.

So apparently the new Fantastic Four movie is kinda shit if the reviews are anything to go by

"Kinda shit" is underselling it. Worst reviewed one so far. Not surprising. Fox never seemed to care for it and only made movies so Marvel wouldn't get the rights back.

Shame. Was looking forward to seeing it eventually. The actors aren't even bad, they're pretty good actually.

Also, it looks like a live-action X-Men TV SHOW is in the works. X-Men Investigations is the comic it'll be based on I think, not sure. So it's pretty much a crime procedural but with superheroes. Could be good I guess.

We've already got one of those and it's called The Flash, doubt they're gonna do better than that to be honest.

I want to see FF based off just how horrible people are saying it is, it can't possibly be as bad as some people are saying, it's probably not a good movie in the slightest, but it can't be the massacre people make it out to be.

The rumor has been X-Factor Investigation. I'm kinda blah with X-Factor myself, I would much rather have a seasonal X-Men show from the beginning, but understand it would never come under budget.

The big what if remains, Marvel owns the TV rights to X-Men. Fox will likely have to give something up for TV rights. My guess, FF tanks, rights revert back to Marvel in time for phase IV, Fox gets total control of the X-Franchise.

MOTHERFUCKING JOHN FUCKING CONSTANTINE IN FUCKING ARROW! YES!

Sooooooooooooooooooo all but confirmed what ends up uniting the first three(WW Supes, Batman) in the Justice League in BvS

Lex Luthor creates Doomsday

True they're not exactly going to use Mxyzptlk in these films (although that would be interesting)

That'd be amazing. Not just "interesting". Unfortunately, he's too obscure for "mainstream" audiences.

Doomsday is bank.

Isnt everything about Superhero films an anticlimax when it comes to who the villain is going to be? You know that eventually the hero will overcome the odds. Its about how we get there

.......

That word. I do not think it means what you think it means.

Yeah you're right. I probably should have said seems a bit to soon. They seem to be blowing their load with Doomsday a bit to early. I mean surely they would have kept him for a solo Superman movie and use Bizarro or something.

He's the only Superman villain I know besides Luthor, Bizarro and Brainiac haha

This much I can get on board with. I was surprised to see this so soon, in a seemingly almost secondary nature.
