If CM Punk and Daniel Bryan are the two biggest examples of mistreatment in the workplace, then society as a whole has turned into some damn *****es. They're not even close to being mistreated and definitely been on the receiving end of good booking for the past year or so when compared to the rest. You can claim mistreatment when you've been eliminated from the Rumble by a "little person" (Fandango), having the same damn match night after night and losing (Kofi), having the best match of your career and then proceed to be jobbed out to the likes of the Great Khali afterwards (Sandow). Those are only just a sample of guys who would love to be in Punk's and Bryan's places right now, and the only reason we never cry over them is b/c they don't bitch about it. Also, to make it even better for the two, it's not like the fucking checks are bouncing, are they? For two guys that are getting supposedly "buried", they're making a lot of money in the process as they could not even see a dollar sign while having to work a part-time job on the side.
With that being said (or rather typed), I honestly don't believe Punk was making any statement by going home. He just simply did that, went home. Professional wrestling obviously takes a physical and mental toil on oneself and not to mention the outside work these guys do to promote the company which is why guys like Punk, Bryan, and Cena all get my respect for being able to that for 15 years straight with little breaks in between. This could be just him taking a short rest and he did speak to Vince which I imagine the reason why the higher-ups didn't have that big of a blow-up about it. Maybe this is just a week long rest and Punk is at next week's Raw opening the show about getting revenge on Kane. It does show that even in this day and age with all the media/dirt sheets reporting "insider" information, we really never truly know.
