CM Punk fans ejected from arena, shirts and signs banned.

No, you cannot wear whatever the hell you want anywhere out in public; enforcing a dress code is not illegal. Something doesn't seem right though... Who has the sack to sell you a shirt then kick you out for wearing it? "You don't like it? Hard cheese." Does that set off anyone's crap detector?

If they really are kicking people out for wearing a Punk shirt, I'd have to believe there's some unknown detail at play. The level of pettiness some people here are accusing Vince of is a teensy bit extreme.

I find this hard to believe in the first place. The signs may be one thing but I am calling BS on this whole thing especially about the Shirts. I can't say I blame them really since he's the one who walked out on them (regardless of his so called issues) and he could have come back at any time.

Pretty sure any reports of them banning Punk shirts from being worn at shows is pure bullshit, I was just at a WWE house show this past Saturday & saw a fair amount of Punk shirts & none of them were being thrown out

I think this is just a group of morons with an internet connection spreading false rumors again.

Are you guys SERIOUS?

They are a PRIVATELY OWNED COMPANY. The guy they are not allowing to be represented is a man who is running down their company and is talking bad about their product and brand AS WE SPEAK and you guys are saying they are WRONG.

Okay this censorship thing is HILARIOUS.

You do not have the right to wear and say what you want WHERE AND WHENEVER YOU WANT TO.

Try walking up in an APPLEBEES and start a "We want Fridays" chant and see if you don't get escorted the hell up out of there.

Better yet wear a TSA are nothing but Pu$$ies shirt into the airport and see if you make your flight.

Oh even better since all of y'all have jumped on the UFC bandwagon why don't a bunch of you guys go to an UFC event wearing Tito Ortiz shirts and scream WE WANT TITO throughout the show and see how long it is before Dana has security put a boot to that A$$!

This Man is running down their company on social and national media signs with a rival company (most corporation have a non disclosure policy but I guess the E doesn't) and y'all are mad at THEM for not promoting this Moron at THEIR SHOWS.

You guys love Punk so much. He is in the UFC now. Take your signs and shirts there and cheer all but your PUNK BYTCH A$$ES WONT DO IT HERE!!!!

Losers!!!!

I see what you're saying but your confused.

Yes the WWE is a privately owned company, and if they want to forbid employees and staff from wearing CM Punk t-shits to work at the Titan Towers or any other WWE office then that's fine. But the arena's and stadiums that they contract out for to do their shows, are not owned by them.

For example the Air Canada Centre here in Toronto, is owned by Air Canada and the City of Toronto. They would be the ones to make the dress code for their arena. As far as I'm aware there is no law here that says you can't wear a CM Punk t-shit to the ACC, and I would love to see them try to eject a fan for wearing one.

Now for the other side of the coin. Fans who continue to wear CM Punk shirts are probably just out to cause shit. Yes it's true he hasn't worked for the company for almost a year now, there is literally no chance he will show up for the show, so why bother. Wear another damm shirt.

The WWE shouldn't have done anything about this if the story is true. All they're done is stir up the pot again. Sometimes it's better to let a story die away than to keep it in the news.

Also it should be noted at the house show I went to this past Saturday, at the concession stand they were selling a 32 oz. "Collectable" cup featuring many of the wrestlers, with ADR & Punk both prominently featured, I doubt WWE would ban or throw out anyone wearing a Punk shirt to an event where they're selling a cup featuring two guys the fired in the past year.

For example the Air Canada Centre here in Toronto, is owned by Air Canada and the City of Toronto.

I went to a friend's wedding in Toronto in the late 90's. The next day we were walking through downtown and I saw a naked hairless man walking down the street heading my way. I pointed this out to my friends and we all stood in awe (and disgust). Fortunately he did not cross our path. He crossed to the other side of the street from where we were gawking. By the time he made it to the next corner there were police in rubber gloves waiting for him. We could not hear the conversation but the man peacefully went in to the back of a squad car. I'd tell you how long his penis was but we were in Canada and I'm not good with the metric system.

Why am I telling this story? Well, Navi's mention of Toronto stirred this image up in my head and this suckstain of a thread could use some life. But I also will point out the similarities and differences of my story and the story on WZ that was the genesis for this thread:

Similarities - both are written at a fourth grade level (or for our Degrassi Jr High friends a grade four level).

Differences - my story is true.

Every episode of WWE "whatever" is a public relations campaign.

I'm a Punk mark, but I'm not going to buy a ticket to a WWE show so I can extol that. He's not coming back to the WWE, if I really want to go further in appreciating his contributions I'll look up when he's doing an autograph signing and thank him personally. I don't spend money so I can be miserable, I'll buy a ticket because I genuinely want to see a match that's on the card and not so that I can chant someone's name knowing full well that it won't make a difference.

You can't wear Punk merchandise to a WWE show, you probably also can't wear a blue waffle shirt. They're just looking out for their troubled bottom-line, allowing fans to advertise ideas that the WWE doesn't endorse would be silly. Then again, free country first amendment other shirts make me look fat blah blah blah.

The whole situation is bogus. How can Vince go on the network live only a couple of weeks ago publicly apologising & being open to a working reunion with Punk, then have a no CM Punk shirts policy? The man's full of it, as is the company.

It's as bad as WWE using a post-it note over his face on the Rumble posters, weeks after he left. One minute they're giving him the Benoit treatment, the next they're advertising his BITW documentary live on RAW. Where is the consistency??
