Getting Noticed By Management
We've seen the interviews and debated endlessly on wether bret is right or wrong. At the emd of the day its bret's opinion. I disagree with it ut wont get mad about it. Anyways this thread isnt about the comments by bret its about who do you like more and who do you enjoy watching more.....

Take into consideration the entertainment theyve given you, promo skills, wrestling skills (or lack there of them) and tell me

Who dou you like more? The best there is best there was and best there ever will be or the game?

Discuss.....

In the ring Bret hands down. Much better wrestler than HHH, a lot more fluid with more holds and moves in general. Only reason for any debate to me is HHH is a lot better on the stick than Bret and has had countless classic funny DX moments when not wrestling.

I'd say hunter
Bret is a phenomenal wrestler, but I dont find his matches to be as entertaining as HHH's. Sure, they are 'better' in the sense that they are technically sound, but in my opinion, Hunter is the better molded superstar.

I feel the need to make it clear that I have no problem with Bret Hart, I enjoy what he does/has done as much as the next guy, but (as much as I don't like him coming back over and over again) I like Triple H more than Bret Hart

Bret never nook part in the Katie Vick abomination, thus wins by default.

But no, as good as Hunter can be on the stick, people forget the great mid 2000's dark age when we were privy to all hunter all the time.

Triple H gets my vote. I can just get into his matches a bit more. I also enjoy Hunter's personality more then Bret's as well.

Bocaj's vote - Triple H

Triple H had way more big matches than Bret Hart. I think the reason for that is partly that there are and have been way more ppv events over triple H's career compared to Bret's but also because Triple H just puts on better matches I think so my vote goes to him.

Bret Hart never seems to have anything good to say about anyone anymore. I think he's still traumatized over the death of his brother and I would be too if I was him. He must feel so let down by the WWE. Nothing can ever change that. I mean the Poor guy.

While Bret will always be remembered as one of the greatest in ring competitors of all time, I always found him boring when it came to his mic work. HHH on the other hand has always been great to watch on the mic and while he may not match up to Hart when it comes to his in ring abilitie, Triple H has always brought a lot more to the table then what Bret ever did in my opinion.

If I wanted to watch a technical wrestling match, I'd go watch a Bret Hart match, If I wanted to be entertained, I'd watch Triple H. If you would notice, Triple H's best matches are gimmick matches and I enjoy them most.

Bret is one of my favourite wrestlers, but I've followed Triple H since 99.

I don't see how anyone could say Triple H had more big matches than Bret Hart. Bret Hart wrestled the best of the best, wrestled guys who had completely different styles and still put together a believable contest. Outside of his feud with The Rock, Triple H really never had stand-out bouts. Both of his matches with Undertaker were mat brawls, at least in the first one you had some excitement about the match (perhaps the streak ruined the second one for me).

I'll go Bret Hart. He took on The Undertaker, Diesel, Stone Cold, Shawn Michaels, Razor Ramon, Yokozuna, Jake Roberts, his match at WMX with Owen. I'd much rather sit and watch one of those than most Triple H matches.

This is very true and agree with you but you forgot Bret also wrestled Ricky Steamboat Rand Savage, and Mr. Perfect twice possibly the best 2 matches of all time

I prefer watching Bret hands down. He was an innovator and helped to pave the way for smaller guys in the business. IMO, HHH hasn't really added anything new to the business and he has never really drawn my attention or interest, even when he was with DX.

I've grown up on Triple H so I'm pretty partial, but I'm not ignorant to the past. I still go back and watch older wrestling all the time. I like Bret Hart and as much as I respect his technical skills and abilities I've never found him that entertaining. He's like Lance Storm at a much higher level, great in the ring and nap time on the mic. I also find Triple H's matches to be much more exciting. They might not be as technically sound but they still tell an interesting story.

My vote is for Triple H.

I can't believe that some people actually think that HHH is better in the ring. Well, I guess they weren't old enough(or fans) at that time to remember how great Bret was in his prime. Bret was better, It's not even close. On the mic however, HHH gets my vote. Overall, Bret Hart wins. He paved the way to all the smaller guys, including Shawn. He became the face of the company, and I think he did pretty good as THE guy. Hunter as good as he was, he never had a major impact on the business the way bret did.

This thread is ridiculous, and the fact Triple H is actually winning in the voting shows just how silly, clueless, and ignorant so much of the IWF are now a days. That, or they have grown up on the crap WWE of today and the brainwashing of WWE in terms of Triple H and have no idea of anything before that generation.

I don't care if people are judging mic skills and "entertainment" in terms of silly skids and outside the ring shinanigans, there is absolutely no way on any level, by any basis, that Triple H can even compare to Bret Hart in terms of WRESTLING. As a wrestler, even as an entertainer in that ring, Bret Hart is one of the best ever.

It's silly that Bret Hart makes an honest opinion, which was very clearly HIS personal opinion and nothing more, and people jump all over him and start hating him like he's satan. Get over it, and stop jumping on Triple H's band wagon because it's the "in" thing to do for a few weeks.

I gotta say lots of people have selective memory. I know people feel the strange need to defend HHH's honor because of Bret's recent statements, but most seem to be forgetting a time when we were as sick of HHH as we are of Cena. For that alone I'm going with Bret. The guy got 2 good matches out of Bob Backlund -- in 1995!

Triple H. I didn't see much of Bret during his WWF run, but I've seen a few matches here and there and I was bored to tears. I just kept thinking this must be the time people use to take a pee break or to buy souvenirs. Maybe I'm off and Bret really is or was as good as he thinks he is but he never impressed me. Just came off as a little dude who says I can wrestle. That's great, so can Kurt Angle, but Angle can do it and be entertaining on the mic. Trips wins by a land slide.

Laughing at the fact that HHH is now Flair on the mic all of a sudden. IMO HHH is and always was long winded and boring on the mic, during his day he would talk for 15 minutes and say literally NOTHING. EVERY MONDAY!!! Always came across petty on the mic, regularly burying guys with no good reason. He was funny for 2 years on the mic with DX as long as the other members were there to provide most of the humor. Every other HHH character; his promo's have pretty much always been pointless space filler.

"I-AHHH..... WILL DEFEAT UNDERTAKERRRAHHHH.... THIS SUNDAYYYYAHHHHH.... BECAUSEAHHHH ---- IIIIIAHHHH --- AMMMMMMMMMMUHHHH ---- THE GAMMMMMMME-AHHHHHH!!!" this is literally every HHH promo ever.

I like both superstars, but in terms of a technical bout, Bret would win any day. He's wrestled some good superstars of the 80s, like Savage, Steamboat and Demolition, through the rest of his WWE career in the Undertaker, Yokozuna, Micheals, Owen Hart, and Stone Cold and put on good matches throughout.

Triple H was an awesome face, an awesome heel and always cut some of the best promos. To be honest, I liked his hardcore matches simply because he is a brawler. He had good mic skills too.

Both have been good Tag Team wrestlers. Both have been great champions.

Just because one guy badmouthed the other(whose father in law screwed the first guy btw), there's no need for us to debate between the better superstar.

Both of them were staple household names in their primes. Both of them had interesting feuds and could work as both a heel and a face.

If you are going wrestling and match wise, Bret is far superior. For Charisma, Brawling and Entertainment, its time to play the Game.

Bret Hart hands down. Bret is a great storyteller in the ring, his in ring work was amazing, he was the best techincal wrestler perhaps ever. Bret could work with the biggest guys in the business (Diesel, Yokozuna, Bam Bam Bigelow, etc) and make them look good. Bret's matches are so memorable, his matches with British Bulldog (Summerslam 92), Mr. Perfect (Summerslam 91), Stone Cold Steve Austin (WM 13), Rowdy Roddy Piper (WM 8), HBK (WM 12 Iron Man Match), Owen Hart (WM 10) as well as a few others still stand the test of time in wrestling history he never really had a bad match.

As for HHH, the guy is a good wrestler with a great physique. He has "the look" however aside from the match with HBK (Summerslam 02) there's not really any good matches that come to mind. The man is a 13 time Champion but mainly this is due to him being Vince's son-in-law. In the 2000's HHH was shoved down our throat, 13 title reings yet no matches that stand out. He has great mic skills, played a great heel and has some good stuff with DX but other than that he will mainly be remembered for marrying the bosses daughter to get those 13 title reigns and being pushed to the top due to that.

Bret the markman hart was terrible on the mic, he always reminded me of the kid that tried to be cool but had no idea what he was saying. He would also do the same fucking moves almost every match and always looked like he had pasties. Fuck bret, hes so out of touch, must have had another stroke.

Triple h is just a good hardcore wrestler but Bret was much better in ring. Better had swagger triple h was/is a overselling wrestler. Doubt triple h could've done a 60 minute iron man match at wrestlemania plus he wouldn't have put up as good of a match. On mic triple h was funnier, but wrestling wise no where near Bret's level

Bret Hart. I was never a big fan of Triple H and I've been pretty vocal about that in the past. While I acknowledge his career, his accomplishments, his promo skills, his entertainment factor and his matches with some of the biggest names in the WWE; I can't say I like watching him more than Bret Hart. I grew up watching Bret "The Hitman" Hart, so naturally I marked out when I saw him win the Royal Rumble (w/ Lex Luger), King of the Ring and his first WWE Championship. The stuff that he went through was amazing. His feuds with Jerry Lawler, Owen Hart, Shawn Michaels and Stone Cold Steve Austin were classics. He's one of the few guys that could have an excellent match with just about anyone and there's a reason why he got the nickname of "Excellence of Execution" because if you watch closely, he's just that damn excellent in the ring. No wasted timing. Then he went over to WCW and still managed to win the WCW World Heavyweight Championship while putting on stellar bouts against Curt Hennig, Roddy Piper, Chris Benoit, Sting. He also wrestled fast-paced matches, which built the excitement. I know Triple H did the same before his quad injury, but they were sporadic in quality. If it wasn't for the stipulations in matches, I'd say Triple H is boring in the ring. Yes, I remember his feuds with Goldust, Marc Mero, Mic Foley, Kurt Angle and Shawn Michaels, but that's it. Triple H mostly gets his shine from his Championships rather than the quality of his matches. That's the difference, and I'm more about the wrestling than all the other traits.

The title of the thread is "Who do YOU like watching better?". Just because someone prefers HHH to Bret does not mean that they are brainwashed by the WWE. They just have preferences different from yours.

As for me. I prefer HHH . Bret is exceptional in the ring, but I have always found HHH to be more entertaining overall. That, and the fact that I have always found the theatrics associated with wrestling (entrances, promos etc.) slightly more entertaining than the in-ring aspect of it.

I really liked Triple H pre-evolution. And I agree somewhat with Bret that Triple H is overrated, mainly just because he's been around for so long. But his latest rant about Trips not being in the top 1,000 is just insanity. I know Bret doesn't like him and is probably still bitter about Hunter's role in Montreal and D-X taking away his place at the top of WWF. But there's no need for this. Unless it's somehow a work - it just comes across as bitter.

However, I choose Bret Hart in his prime for sure. He's had so many all time classic matches vs Bulldog, Piper, Perfect, Owen, Austin, Shawn, etc etc. He seemed to make everyone who stepped in the ring with him better. And when he got someone who was on his level, it usually was a classic. No one better than the Hitman.

Bret Hart in a beat, it's a no contest, Bret had great matches on Raw these were one on one no gimmick and they still came out golden. Hart gave a great rub to those.

Feuds though, christ! Lawler, Shawn, Stone Cold, Owen, Backlund, Mr Perfect. These were golden.

The last guy Trips feuded with and gave a rub was Sheamus but does anyone really remember that?

HHH is one of the best on the microphone though. That and his 'look' was better than Brets, that's it though.
