Breakthrough Performance of the Year

It's Sheamus. From losing to Golddust to winning the WWE title. Know anyone else that has done that? Sheamus has stormed upon the scene as a legit threat to be a future star. Winning the WWE title is something that not many people can say and even if Kofi and Punk had a better year, no one broke through as quick as Sheamus did.

Punk. Nobody gave a shit about him last year, and now he's one of the biggest heels in the company. He got an assist off his MITB cash in, but the rest of it has all been him. The Miz has had a pretty big year too, but in all honesty, he doesn't have that much to show for it. Until he won the US Title, he'd have nothing to show for this year, and while his improvement is commendable, I don't think he has reached the height of his trajectory yet.
