Books

There has actually been a couple of Star Wars horror novels released recently by Joel Schreiber. Death Troopers is about an outbreak of an Imperial bioweapon aboard a prison barge that kills the infected and then turns them into zombies, while a prequel (and by prequel, I mean thousands of years earlier) to it called Red Harvest is due out soon.

On the home stretch of Count of Monte Cristo by Alexndre Dumas, and simply put, it's been brilliant.

Finishing off the three musketeers myself soon. Great writer, looking forward to the count.

Unfortunately college reading is really interfering with my time left for recreational reading... Though it did lead me to read Everything is Illuminated last week which blew my tats right off!!

Required reading is always annoying because I feel like I don't have time to read what I want to read but like you noted, it forces me to read some books that I've ended up really enjoying.

Also, you ought to look into reading The Man in the Iron Mask if you like Dumas. I'd like to read the Three Musketeers. I've read the two books by Dumas that I mentioned and really love his work.

Timothy Zahn. That is all.

The Thrawn series is still one of my favourites, although I think the 21 book Yuuzahn Vong invasion (named for him) has surpassed it for me. Matthew Stover's Traitor is one of my favourite works of fiction. The final chapters of the Battle in the Well of the World Brain are epic.

The work of Drew Karpyshyn (a writer of Mass Effect 1 and 2 and some accompanying novels) on the Darth Bane series was also excellent and he is responsible for Revan, which makes me more excited to read it.

Yeah I definately agree, but if the book is good enough then I'll definitely read it again. And i most definitely will with Everything is Illuminated.

Theres a short list of books I've read more than twice; American Psycho by Brett Bret Easton Ellis, Post Office by Bukowski, This Book Will Save Your Life by A.M. Holmes and that book will most likely make the cut!

Any of you nerds out there read The Dresden Files by Jim Butcher??

Got a few Star Wars books high on my wish list now, espeically the long-awaited Revan. Anyone who played and loved KOTOR should be interested in what happened to the villain turned hero after his disappearance and whether the Exile ever found him.

There's a book on that? I need this book. This book is KOTOR III.

I've almost finished Mr Nice. It's quite interesting how likeable a drug baron can be.

WRITTEN BY DREW KARPYSHYN AND EVERYTHING!

Fuck me, how did this go undetected? Is it new or something?

Wasn't Darth Bane in KOTOR I? Or am I thinking of the wrong guy...

Bane is just the novels, I think. Reven was the main Sith in KOTOR I.

Bane does not live until several thousand years after KOTOR, although he does discover a holocron of Darth Revan and learns much from him.

Whilst Revan was the creator of much of the trouble, he was also the protagonist. Darth Malak was the primary antagonist in KOTOR.

There were several protagonists in KOTOR II but the main ones were the Sith Triumvirate of Darths Sion, Nihilus and Traya.

I am thinking of the Sith Lord Malak sends after you when you've defeated Calo Nord.

Darth Bandon.

Picked up a game of thrones. Haven't watched the show at all so i think i may read the books first. I like this Tyrion Lannister chap as well as Jaime. Jon Snow seems cool too.

Couldn't resist the lure of the Revan and with the return of the hero/villain/hero, his new wife, his droids, a certain Mandalorian friend, a raft of new Sith Lords and the reveal of the Exile's name (and gender) in the first 5 chapters, you shouldn't either

How much does it cost?

I'm about to start book 2 Clash of Kings - Game of Thrones. I thought the first book ended well, and was quite an exciting read.

Uh. I tried reading 50 shades of gray, but then just went and watched some softcore porn instead.

Currently looking for another series to pick up to read along with The Game of Thrones, possibly the Harry Potter series as I haven't read any of those.
