I actually don't care about it...I used to, but, if it's going to cause this much shit and if people are going to use it as a proxy for their dick in a measuring contest, fuck it.

Even if you completely reset them, it's not like people who know this place will say "OMG!!! Sam is the same as the new guy! They must be the same kind of posters."

I know, I don't have a problem with resetting them, but it does seem a little unfair to people like Sam and Slyfox to be put onto the same level as Supergav67 (I always use this guy as an example of a bad poster. He is by no means the worst, but I've remembered his name for some reason, there's nothing personal for always using him, he's just a generic bad poster.), even if it is only briefly. If you reset it, people like NoFate and Slyfox, who don't really have strong allegiances on here would take longer to get back up to a higher level than someone who does, because people rep their friends, so then you'd not only have an unfair assessment of the quality and established posters compared to the ones who are just popular for the funnies.

The rep bars may mean nothing, but if you look at the top 50 on the members list sorted by rep, you probably have about 40 of the best posters on it, and that's no coincidence.
