Armbar & Jesus and Pals

I honestly couldn't tell you my favorite album by them. They're all awesome.

Danzig, I love, especially Mother. As for Samhain, I'm not entirely familiar with.

Question for you: Do you prefer The Queers, or Circle Jerk?

It's hard to get people to like Samhain, even if they're already fans of Misfits and Danzig. I'd like X to pop his head in here right now and say "Yeah I known what your talking about!" but like I said it's hard to find somebody very familiar with them. I'd recommend the songs Archangel and the whole November Coming Fire album.

I never cared for Circle Jerks honestly and I prefer Keith Morris in early Black Flag. Circle Jerks music was never unique to me, punk is supposed to be about message and a social and political satire and I think they just used the punk label as a vehicle for not being able to make more structured melodic music. And it is possible to do that with punk as you had bands like The Cramps, The Meteors, Misfits, Ramones were the first. The Queers were much better at this and while I', not familiar with their entire body of work, what I do know I enjoy.

Do you like The Adicts?

I know were both of them places is.

HOLY SHIT ARMBAR YOU LIKE MARRIED WITH CHILLUNS TOO?

Why did we have to get seperated at birth? Why?

It had to be that way. I was the half as attractive smaller twin who was still incredibly good looking and muscularly fit.

Speaking of, what are your dimensions? you likely taller than me

Ha shiiit I haven't taken any measurements in a long time. I'm 5'9'' and my biceps were 13 1/2 inches at their biggest. I weigh about 180 to 185 right now and last time I checked I was around 11% bodyfat. Those are probably around the same right now, everything else I'd have to measure.

Peas in a pod. Not to mention we both have a certain amount of our bodies dedicated to ink. I have dark brown hair though, slicked back greaser style. My face isn't macho enough to have my head shaved, though I wish I could as it would save me time and greasy hands.

I'm not familiar with the Addicts, man. I never got too far into the punk scene, and only know a handful of bands outside of the essentials like the Ramones, Sex Pistols, etc. I'm more of a metal head, honestly. And that music from the late-90's like the Wallflowers, Dandy Warhols, 3EB, etc.

Which brings me to my next question. You obviously dig teh punk, but what are your thoughts on hardcore, pure fuckin' black metal?

Also, what's your favorite metal band? Do like the bluegrass?

I think my location allows me to discover random bands easily. I never got really got deep into punk, I think a lot of it is fake and meaningless, which is really a bad thing but when your pretending to be something you aren't its just unattractive.

I dig some black metal like Celtic Frost, Blasphemy, Kreator and a couple other bands. It's funny though because black metal has like 23434 sub genres and it's kinda ridiculous.

And I love me some bluegrass. Earl Scruggs is one of my favorite musicians of all time.

Favorite metal band is tough, as the genre is so spread out. It's hard to tell what's metal and what is classified as something else ha. I'd have to go with Between the Buried and Me, Dillinger Escape Plan and Fear Before the March of Flames as my current favorites from the newer generation. And yes I consider Fear Before metal, though alot of people would call them post hardcore or something like that.

You are my new best e-friend. I love me some Scruggs, though I edge him out with Ricky Scaggs and Bill Monroe as my favorites. Just a little, though.

Yeah, black metal does have an obscene amount of sub-genres. Good list of bands though. I'm only hoping Venom and Mayhem are included. They are the originals, after all.

Venom and Mayhem are both classic. Scaggs is great, Monroe I'm not so high on but still a legend.

You have some good taste Dewman.

Rather then create a brand new thread, I figured I would add on to this one, keep my shit in one place.

I just learned I have to have surgery on my knee. No fun at all. It stems from an ankle injury from a couple years back that eventually screwed up my knee on the same leg.

Anyone had surgery on their knee or something similar? If so what can I expect?

This the same injury that kept you from playing football?

Originally it was the ankle injury that made me stop playing football and competing in mma (not that I ever actually did, it was just something I wanted to do after enough training.) The ankle injury worsened though and eventually affected my knee. Thank god I'm my own boss or I wouldn't be able to keep a lot of jobs because I can't stand for more than maybe 5 hours.

From what I understand it's a very specific type of Patello-femoral syndrome, it's basically where nothing is fitting properly in the alignment. It's become incredibly painful and I've been becoming less and less mobile as the years pass so it really needs to be fixed.

And to Scotty, I joined for a couple reasons. I've been a wrestling fan since I can remember so that was a no brainer and as far as wrestling forums go this one is clearly the best. It also has a wide range of non wrestling sections as well which drew me in. I've visited somewhat frequently over the years so I just decided to join after my business had been up and running succesfully for a full year and I had more free time. So far theres some cool people here and I'm glad I joined.

My slaps work in a different fashion. Once the slap has been dealt, you may go about living your life for about 5 years. Then one day you'll be making love to your significant other, or something else I don't judge, and you'll feel something brewing beneath the surface of your skin. The next thing you know your bones all simultaneously turn to dust. Secret Armbar technique.

I know it was you Freddy, I called Scotty Freddy in another thread to see if anyone noticed, no one did.

Holy shit, you're just swank all around. Yeah, I said swank so fuck off. :lmao:

What's your background? I've been seriously thinking about giving MMA a shot after college, so might as well start gathering opinions from people.
