Armbar & Jesus and Pals

You had me with Cash, but you own me with Danzig and The Misfits. If you've never heard it, find the song Thirteen. It was written by Glenn Danzig for Johnny Cash. I think it was used in the opening credits for The Hangover.

Go to the music section. Find my post in the thread called "favorite cover songs"

Have you heard the new Cash album?

What's the favorite Misfits album?

What are your thoughts on Henry Rollins' spoken word?

I have a couple songs off of American VI and I love it. The whole series is some of the best music i've ever heard in my life and I always keep at least one of it's albums in my car at all times.

My favorite Misfits album is a hard choice. Out of their original discography i'd have to choose Static Age. Such an awesome mix of the catchy and the melodic with the more aggresive like Bullet.

I'm a big Black Flag fan as well as a fan of Rollins the man. He has come across as a little too self aware at times, as if he were speaking to a room full of Henry Rollins clones ha, but overall I agree with most of what he says and he's a great commanding speaker.

Epic fucking thread and i'm going to have post something in there later today. It seriously sucks that I never got to see the man play. I saw Danzig play Misfits songs with half of the original lineup for the first time in almost 25 years in 2005. And I got to see Willy Nelson and Tom Petty in the same week which was awesome. But i'd have killed to see Cash.

This man has a love for football, Johnny Cash, Danzig, The Misfits, MMA, and from what I can tell knows his fucking hip hop.

Speaking of which, Armbar what's some of your favorite hip hop artists out there?

Armbar is like some sort of God in a way... he simply fucking rocks!

Anways Armbar, what are some of your favorite movies? Mine would be Backdraft and Braveheart.

Shit without naming off any of the obvious like Pac or Nas, I gotta say Sage Francis, Talib, Mos Def, Inspectah Deck, earlier Common, Reanimator, Gang Starr. There's a lot man.

If you ever get a chance man, in the Music section there is a stickied thread called Ty Burna's All Hip Hop thread. You should check it out.

Both good movies. Actually I barely watched Backdraft, it couldn't hold my attention for shit. Braveheart's awesome though.

My all time favorite movie is Stand By Me. I really love The Prestige, I don't think that movie gets enough praise. Other standouts would be the Back to the Future franchise, Ghostbusters, Pans Labyrinth, The Maltese Falcon, Cool Hand Luke. I could go on, but you get it.

Question for you Dewdrop, do you have a favorite Misfits album? And if your a fan of the band, do you also like Danzig and Samhain?

I don't care for soccer honestly. Probably because I was pretty good at every sport except for futbol. I live in southern Cali though so it's pretty popular.

I don't speak a lot of Spanish, but like I said I live in SoCal so it's kind of something you just pick up. I can understand it a lot more than I can speak it. Literally in highschool I was one of maybe 20 white guys that went to that school and the rest were Mexican.

I have been to TJ, I went after I turned 21. That was really necessary though because they didn't card me a single time there. It was a fun place, got shit faced for like six nights in a row.

Favorite Soda.

Favorite Book.

Favorite TV show when you were a youngster.

Rootbeer. Preferably Whitehead's Draft which is expensive and hard to fine but the best rootbeer in the world. Second would probably be Code Red Mountain Dew.

Favorite book is The Giver by Lois Lowry mostly for nostalgic value. I read it when I was 11 maybe and it seriously blew me away. It's an easy read for me now, but it was a challenging book for an 11 year old. Check it out.

My favorite television show growing up was Twilight Zone, and it's tied with Lost as my all time favorite. I was also partial to The Outer Limits and Married with Children.

Code Red is better then Root Beer IMO.

The Giver where the kid could see colors and was a prophet or something? If so, I remember that book and it was awesome.

Married...With Children is incredible. Did you vote in the sitcom tourney? If you didn't M...WC could have used your vote and influence. Lost is awesome. I just started watching maybe 3 weeks to a month ago and I am about 7 episodes into Season 3.

Yeah that was The Giver. I recommend you read it again, it has tremendous value when your older.

I wasn't here for the sitcom tourney as I only joined 2 weeks ago, but I most likekly would have voted for MWC. Who won that thing?

The Simpson's toppled Married...With Children in the finals.

That's a shame. As much I love The Simpsons, the show hasn't been particularly good in over a decade. I'm sure that argument was brought up. Then again the final season of MWC wasn't as good as the first couple seasons were either.

I honestly couldn't tell you my favorite album by them. They're all awesome.

Danzig, I love, especially Mother. As for Samhain, I'm not entirely familiar with.

Question for you: Do you prefer The Queers, or Circle Jerk?

I know were both of them places is.

HOLY SHIT ARMBAR YOU LIKE MARRIED WITH CHILLUNS TOO?

Why did we have to get seperated at birth? Why?
