An Epic And Impactful Night Of TNA LD

Alright show. Better than last week. Could have used a Mick Foley or Scott Steiner promo.

Totally failed to build the PPV, but as I said at the start of this LD, I think TNA have basically acknowledged that they're sacrificing this PPV's build in the name of the bigger picture.

There absolutely is no comparing iMPACT! to RAW. iMPACT! kicks Raw's ass in every way. I found this show so much more enjoyable than Raw.

AJ's not being a heel, guys. Just an ultra competitor.

I know, I just felt like starting a wave of reaction. For what some may consider my "stupid" Anti-Pope posting earlier. Kind of a penance, of sorts. That, and he seemed legitimately pissed off.

Amen.

And both Mike Tyson and Bret Hart are two of my biggest childhood heroes. But even with them apart of the show it still sucked. How is that possible?

My breakfast could use a Scott Steiner promo. I would stop fucking Hayden Panettiere if Scott Steiner walked into the room to give a promo.

Yeah, they had to sacrifice the PPV. They threw us AJ vs. Kurt last week, built it this week, have an hour of Kurt on TV and are hoping that will be enough to get some buys out of this week.

Sometimes I love you so much it hurts.

All in all, 'twas a great show. Kinda wish they'd let Madison get a pinfall victory.

And, no, FTS, I didn't really turn my volume off on Pope. I could barely hear him anyway, because Tenay kept interrupting. Pope needs to learn, you're working with Taz and Tenay, you need to speak the fuck up!

OK X, you may be right, I really didn't take the time to time the matches to see how much of the show was old guys versus young guys. It just seemed to me that as a lifelong WWE fan who is really trying to watch TNA and hoping it succeeds to improve both itself and WWE, there's been a lot of hype about all the new young talent, yet we're still seeing an awful lot of old guys like Hall, Waltman and the Nasty Boys.

Of course it's not a bad thing to see Hogan, Bischoff, Flair, or Jarrett on camera. All of these guys are legends (well 3/4 anyway). I'm certainly not bashing them. I just fear that their on-camera action will de-evolve into in-ring action. I would rather see the new guys, rather than Hogan/Jarrett or Flair/Sting which I fear is not too far off.

By the way, my Mick Foley comment was subtle sarcasm about the prospect of being visited by another old guy.

Now on to you, FTS. A little defensive about your beloved TNA, telling me to stop watching just because I don't agree with everything you say. I thought this was a discussion site for both sides of the story. Last time I checked I was entitled to an opinion too, even if it's a little critical of TNA. I have no plans to "shit on TNA" and don't think that's what I'm doing. I just find it peculiar that people on this site continue to sing the praises of TNA like it's competition for WWE now, today, when it's not. I hope it will be, I really do. But if this is going to happen, the dead weight (np pun intended) such as the Nasty Boys and Scott Hall have got to go.

I fucking hope so.

He debuted in the X-Division match last week, and suddenly Red has a "mystery opponent" for the X-Division title? Yeah, I smell a Hardy X-Division title run, which would be fucking PERFECT and would make people actually care about that title again since it's been ignored for so long now.

That sounds awesome, did they actually get time to work?

Yeah they got a solid near ten minutes I'd say and busted out some of their trademark (awesome) moves. I won't tell you who won. But yeah, definitely worth watching. Their new TNA name is "Generation Me" which is alright. Wish they would've stuck with Young Bucks though. Taz slipped up and called them that anyways in the match :lmao:

Let's not pretend that The Young Bucks is a 'good' tag team name.
And I don't think that was Taz slipping up; I think that was Taz giving a quick shout out to the Smarks at home. You can tell by the way his grammar was accurate.

I didn't tell you to stop watching because you disagreed with me. I could give a fuck about that. You seemed to be hating it, but it was part of a two part joke. Stop watching....start watching. I thought it was funny.

Anyway, thanks for remembering that I am FTS.

No I know, I was just messing around. Obviously if it was actually a slip-up TNA would have just edited it out. He made a similar comment when Nigel debuted if I remember correctly.

And I've always liked their name actually, The Young Bucks is exactly what they are. They're everything the Hardy Boys wish they could have been once they hit the WWF. Young Bucks remind me of an OMEGA-Era Hardys, only more talented in the ring.

He called Team 3D the Dudleys his first two weeks on Impact
