[The Future Rises]

-- Brock Lesnar will be announced as a "Legend" for THQ's WWE '12 video game later this week.

UFC approved of Lesnar's inclusion in the game on the condition that he was presented as a wrestler and not a mixed martial artist.

There are no plans for Lesnar to be further involved with WWE.

I for one am exited. They've been teasing Lesnar being in ever since the game was announced. Back in Here Comes The Pain on the PS2 I used to pick Brock, beat up my opponent all the way to the streets, and literally F-5 them on a limo causing a big explosion. Well I guess I can't do that in WWE '12 but it's still great to be able to play as Brock along with guys like Eddie, Vader, and Kevin Nash. Gonna remind me a lot of Here Comes The Pain.

I'm excited as well, I was a big Lesnar fan back during his reign of domination have been since, plus he'll be a blast to play with in the game. The only thing I'm worried about is the game being like last year's, I was extremely excited for last year's and got it the day it released but was very dissappointed in the graphics(which seemed worse than the previous year's) and the controls. 2010 imo was the best year the game has ever had, graphics were good, controls were fluid and easy to use, but the legends were kind of lame. I have nothing against Hall Of Famers like Bob Orton, Dusty Rhodes and Ted Dibiase but I would very much prefer playing as someone like Brock Lesnar, Eddie Guerrero and Nash. I am very excited to play as the legends in this year's game and as long as the controls and graphics are better than last year's then I'll be buying it, just hope Drew McIntyre is in the game....

With the addition of Brock Lesnar this roster is gonna be the most badass roster in wrestling games history.

Rey, Sin Cara and Alberto Del Rio should be on it. But to be honest, does it really matter who they put on the cover? The games just gonna be the same as the other versions.

Rey is one of the biggest names ever among Mexican wrestlers, but Mistico is the current biggest name in Mexican wrestling. That's why WWE was so excited to bring him in. Has Sin Cara disappointed? I'd say undoubtedly, yes. He can't go through a match without botching, even when facing other luchas, and it's just become so boring, already.

ADR shouldn't be on the cover despite his success, because I still don't think he's very good. Maybe in time, he'll be okay, but I seriously doubt his ability, at the moment. Sin Cara gets the cover because he's really Mistico, not because he's Sin Cara.

Sounds like a solid idea to me. Sin Cara (Mistico) is a huge star in his native Mexico, more so than Rey Mysterio or Alberto Del Rio (Dos Caras Jr.). Doesn't anybody remember the press conference the WWE had when he first signed? I can't remember them doing that for anybody else but Sin Cara. Plus, this gives them a way to put him over some more, not that he really needs it in Mexico.

I wouldn't have had any qualms with it going to Rey or Del Rio, but I don't think it would have panned out as well as this will. Rey's injured, so I don't feel like he would have been chosen anyway, but if it came down to Del Rio and Cara, the right choice was made. Sin Cara deserves the Mexican cover.

Best option. Although del Rio is popular in Mexico and Rey Mysterio is "like a god" (actual quote from Alberto del Rio), Sin Cara is an up-and-comer. WWE are banking on him being their biggest draw in the rather large Hispanic market when Rey retires (which should be soon with his knees). A report said Sin Cara was in the top ten merchandise sellers at the moment, and you've got to think that a lot of that is due to the big Hispanic and - in particular - Mexican markets.

I can't say I particularly care though, due to the fact that I'm not Mexican.

I hope the put in Sin Cara Black in the game as that would be pretty cool to see. I am glad Lesnar is in the game as well. I miss being him and triple power bombing everyone I wrestled. Lesnar is a guy that I wished was back in the WWE so him being in the game is as close as I guess it will ever be.

I have a feeling Hogan might be in this game as well along with Foley being a part of it. I can't wait to find out who else that is going to be in the game as well.

Brock fucking Lesnar was the biggest beast in here comes the pain. I hope they keep his move set so I can annihilate guy in TLC matches. This game loos like it will be sick!

The mystery superstar will be revealed on Tuesday. Lesnar looks likely, considering PWI is a reliable source, but there's still the stance that Lesnar was being scanned for the new UFC game.

If it is Lesnar I'll shit a brick. Was hoping for DDP but Lesnar would be a bigger name, and an unexpected one.

I love DDP. And the clues given were "He used a different theme in testing than he used in WWE", "He's not someone amazing, just someone you'd see and think 'Huh, that's pretty cool that they have him in there'" and that his inclusion was "a good thing".

I traded in SvR11 yesterday and put the credit towards my preorder of WWE12. I can't wait to see what they've done with Universe mode. I'm going to be playing as Sin Cara all the time, along with my usual supply of videogame characters.

Lesnar would be an awesome choice for the game. Better than most of the other legends who I never use.

I probably won't get this when it's released though. MW3 is my primary choice and I don't wanna buy two games that close together. I'll shoot for it around Christmas though, maybe catch a sale or something.

Plus November has Zelda, Mario, Kirby and December has MK7 oh and rayman in there too.

Makes sense to me.
1) Bret Hart was on last years cover in Canada. May as well cater to people in their home country. Next year we'll see Sheamus on the over of the Irish edition.
2) Sin Cara has been receiving a big push since his arrival. With Mysterio injured and career coming to a close, it's clear WWE needs to look to the future. They've always been good at that (instead of focusing on the older stars). I can't deny Mysterio's huge star power in Mexico but Sin Cara is their star in their tour of Mexico. It just makes sense to put their major draw on the tour on the cover of the latest game.
