All WWE '12 Discussion

I haven't played one of these WWE games in a few years. Last one I played was SVR 2008 or 2009. Anyway, do they have MITB in the game? If not, they should add that and allow you to be able to cash it in.

Not sure exactly how that would work logistically in the game. It would probably have to be during the story mode or something.

Yes, its in the game. During the year in Universe mode you can win the MITB match with a wrestler and then they have that briefcase which can be cashed in for a title match at any time.

Pretty well done I think, I was impressed with Universe mode last year, but there were some big flaws and not enough cut scenes etc, so I hope it is improved in this ears version.

From SvRseries.com

This has been absent since Day of Reckoning 2, which is also a THQ title. I hope it's a little more limited then in DoR (Say your partner was getting a powerbomb. You could break up the powerbomb all the way up until the animation was complete.) but it added so much to the matches.

this was in Day of Reckoning 1 as well, as well as the new "breaking point" submission thingy, where you can crawl to the ropes. I just hope
there is a bigger moveset than 2011's game cause that bothered me. 2010 was the best, I was able to make so many people with the movesets ranging from Amazing Red to Bryan Danielson/Daniel Bryan.

Ok they need to fix the way simple things look

- tables being too high and not long enough
- sledgehammer not being so long
- ladders being too wide and maybe feature different sized ones
- belts being too small

I think they need to add some nostalgia.. Not just wwe legends, like old school arenas, raws, the 2000 smackdown one with the circles, wrestlemanias. All the entrances in 1999 to 2001 were awesome, now they all look so generic and similar.

And more detail to ringside, have the ring announcer and time keepers in the corner and at ppvs have the Spanish announce table n on raws n smackdowns have just the one.

Make free roaming throughout the arena an option again in matches. Through the crowd, have that little area in the crowd like they did a few sm vs raws ago. have the ability to go to the side of the arena entrances.. Like where mark Henry threw that sound guy. Have the ability to walk through the curtains into a backstage area and go from area to area.

Matches:

- buried alive
- boiler room brawl
- old school cage match (the bar one) and normal cage

Create a modes need to be far more detailed

Whoever said on this page that GM Mode sucked is WRONG. I am currently playing through GM Mode on SvR 2008 'cos I love it that much!

Well, they need to make sure the game still has that "Physics" thing, where you can move around for Finishers or certain moves such as Suplexes, meaning you could put someone through a Table a bit easier.

The Road to Wrestlemania's need to be longer. The 2/3 Months you have just go to quickly and if you play SvR for a few hours a day, you could've finished all of them in that time. The backstage roaming was good, it could be a bit better though. Also, Universe Mode is pretty damn suck-ass. GM Mode needs to have been revamped and brought back, it's the best mode there is. It could definitely have a larger range of Storylines to buy, as well as an easier/more lenient trade system. If you play with multiplayer, then you couldn't trade between the two brands.

Talking about features that WWE '12 already has, the "Breaking Point" system looks quite clever. Watched a video on it the other day and it looks smart. The only negative I have on it is that the big "BREAKING POINT" thing that comes up on the screen, it looks silly. Then we have something which allows you to break up moves as another person attempts to use them. For example, attempting a move which involves lifting your Opponents shoulders. If you're kicked in midst of that move by another person, say the 3rd or 4th man, then the "Victim" either falls or rolls off. It looks smart yet again, which is only another plus.

Overall, the game looks pretty good to me. Can only wait till Nov 22nd to play it!

Yes they did add that feature... Unfortunately, however, if computer wins the MITB then you might want to be careful because you never know when they'll cash it in. I once had the winner to Cash in on me after I just wrestled two matches (both against John Cena, which pretty much made it impossible to win). I still retained the title, but the point is that the cash ins for the briefcase really are randomized in this game.

Edit: A feature that I'm looking forward to is the finisher incorporation, like in a video I saw Rey Mysterio and Cena were able to pull off both their finishers... like, Rey had the opponent in the ropes, and pulled of a 619 and when they fell back, Cena hit the 5KS... then he hit the AA and Rey came off the top rope with a splash for the pin. That small addition can make a lot of matches more fun, and add more dept to matches.

Also, I'm liking the way that the game allows you to pull off finishers out of nowhere. Now, if the opponents are in the ropes, you can run with Rey and pull off a 619. The camera angles seem amazing too, also I love how the championships actually look in this game.

Final appreciation has to be the way that they've added "real time movement" for the ropes. It's a small addition I guess, but it's awesome as well. Predator Tech is looking way better than the Havok that they've been using.

They should really add in MiTB were you go online and go against 8 people now that would be cool.Cause imagine that type of destruction and they should put in there more ladders in MiTB.

Looking forward to this game. Should be great considering The new enchantments added in this year.

Create an arena mode should be awesome! The graphics are not have bad but maybe The quality of Tue videos I watched made them look shitty. Anyway hope it's better than smackdown vs raw 2011 but nothing will ever beat here comes the pain. (Including no mercy).

May as well just change it to what it is

From what I have read, WWE Universe has "100s" of new events and better logic added in.

Right, sure.

I'm pumped to about the Create-A-Arena mode. I wonder how much control they'll give us, and if we'll be able to use our own logos, or just the ones in the game. Although considering you could use custom logos last year, I'm sure you'll be able to this year as well.

uh....WHAT?

Link, please

As much as I really hate to complain after watching that...

I really wish you could edit the set, like the tron and ramp and staging area and all that. Thats the cool part anyways, lulz

Does anyone know if you need to pre-order to get Rock or is he in the game? He better be in the damn game because I can't get the internet to work on my ps3 (makes internet stop working when it tries to connect).

I'm guessing that if you don't pre-order it you'll have to download him.

Also, two names that haven't been officially confirmed, but I found the official art by snooping around the website:

Trish Stratus, and Michael Cole.

The last Wrestling game I had was Smackdown vs RAW 09, is there any notable changes from that (is Hot Tag still in it)? I have no idea what Universe Mode is.

Wow, that Create an Arena mode looks sick and well thought out. I can't wait to give it a try. Wonder if you can take the arenas into Story Designer or even Online... it would be kind of cool.

I might just have to recreate the old TNA Asylum for old times sake... or who knows, maybe create the Wrestlemania 10 arena. You know, the one where Owen stepped out of his brother's shadow. Man, I'm really excited about this new feature, and I can't wait to see what other add ins they've got.
