I'm unsure if anyone else has picked up on this, but for the first time since the Warzone era video game.. the newest (or revamped, rather) create-a-feature.. is Create-an-Arena.
I'd post images of it, but all of the ones on google have another forums' website attached and I don't want to get busted for "advertising". Long story, short, it looks like you can create any old school arena you want. Including the WCW Nitro arena, and original WCW logo ring. If that's in, then my guess is you could likely create ECW as well. And depending on how in-depth this is, perhaps you can create an image/paint tool to paste in the ring and on the aprons, which means you may even be able to create TNA and Japan style mats - on a WWE game. I'm really hyped for this.
As for the roster, it looks very solid from top to bottom. With only a couple note-worthy missing names (Kharma, The Bellas, Trent Barreta, The Usos & Shawn Michaels - who may all be included in a DLC at some point) I can't say I'm complaining, as most of those names will likely be heavily created by amazing CAW makers who will likely produce better looking CAWs than the actual counterparts that a WWE game could come up with.
I've been able to watch a couple of the entrance's, and I'm majorly disappointed with Del Rio's basic copy/paste of JBL's entrance, only slightly modified. (His car just randomly appears on the RAW stage - I mean, seriously, that's just stupid?)
Finally, the in-game motions from the finishers I've seen look very fluent. Specifically speaking; Randy Orton & CM Punk both go from signature moves, to (Orton's) pounding the mat then hitting an RKO.. only to walk all the way over to the corner, and then run, connecting with a Punt kick. All in the span of a couple seconds..
Finally, it looks like Universe mode is returning and has been revamped, although I'm unsure how and don't have any new information. I'm scared because one of my favorite features from the previous two years was being able to Create shows. Last year it was added to, and amazing - until you weren't able to use any Downloaded content. I haven't seen any new info on if Create-a-Story has even been kept in this year's version, but if it has been.. I'm hoping the addition of Create-an-Arena will be optional in Story creation, as well as being able to use Downloadable Content (including CAWs).
I'm hyped for this year's game, and I have no clue why they've pushed it back almost an extra month, but I guess if they add all this new stuff then the wait SHOULD (not the italics) be worth it.
