All WWE '12 Discussion

Minor thing, I know there's still about 15 or so on the roster left to be revealed, but I'm befuzzled as to why they appear (at least so far) to have left the Bellas off. The Bellas have been in the last couple of games when they weren't really doing anything. This year they turned heel and even got a title run, only to get left off the game.

... Whassupwitdat?

It's going to be a basic SVR game just in a new series, and a few new features but it's an overrated game. I will laugh at people who will waste 30 dollars on a game they will come on Wrestlezone to complain about it the next day.

The Bellas are the easiest to make, you only have to make one of them and then just copy that one, lol.

I'm guessing that if you don't pre-order it you'll have to download him.

You think that they'd use unique codes to get him, or that they'd have the same code for everyone (Meaning I could just get the code online). I'm guessing that they're going to be cheap bastards and make everyone download it if they didn't preorder it.

They did the same with Layla last year, my favourite diva from WWE in 2010, then my favourite diva(s) in 2011 are The Bellas and they're left off? Damn THQ, just because I'll buy the game anyway, you shouldnt abuse your authority!

Im curious, does anyone else still use Story Designer Mode? I do just because its the closest thing I can use to resemble GM Mode without going back to 06, 07 or 08. I dont understand why they dont just put it back in the game when almost all of the SvR gamers wants it back in the game!

Yea, Will uses it, and I used to use it for my PPVs in universe mode.

Really though, Universe Mode would be exactly what most of us always wanted out of GM mode if they just brushed it up a bit with a little better in game logic, and a little better user control

Personally I would love something alone the lines of Create a Brand.

Basically an owner mode of some sorts where you create the name of your show, the roster, the stage, the arena, the belts, EVERYTHING.

You decide what you are gonna do with your show every week, make the matches, decide whether to play them or if you r lazy just book the winner in advance so no matter what the guys YOU want to push and win do. On top of that you could use create a wrestler to create a gimmick, maybe put a package together for a debut, just go absolutely nuts with it.

I always loved GM Modes but I would love for them to take it one step further and pretty much simulate the whole backstage experience, from arena design, booking, storyline creation and everything in between.

I hope they bring back those classic "move set templates" (from Here comes the pain) so the c.a.w. creations are more fun to get into....Why not have Template dlc? (What could be stopping THQ form pulling THAT off?

I heard mention in an interview that they had gotten some new servers. If true, then that's fantastic. The servers in SvR 2011 were terrible. The cool new feature was to play Royal Rumbles online but they just lagged so bad. I think they should also come up with a better way to find matches. Like have the playlist and have the game start it up and not the leader because I would want to play 12 man Royal Rumbles but the leader would always start it up when there was only 4-5 people.

Wow, this thread got buried worse than that dirty sock at the bottom of the clothes hamper used for...

anyway...

I have a weird question... I know this may sound stupid and all, but does anyone know if you can change each rope color individually or if it all goes by groups?

I ask because one of my all time favorite rope patterns is the Black-Yellow-Black rope scheme from the old NWA Main Event (Tennessee) days and even from Wrestlemania 10. If anyone's got any information on that I'd greatly appreciate it.

Here's the list of default names you can use for your created wrestler:

O:
Octopus
Old
Oliver
Olympian
Omega
Oozing
Orange
Otaku
Outlaw
Owen

FUCK YEAH

This naming system is, like, so improved. Maybe they'll get weight in before too long too, maybe just by the tens, 180 - 500 (you wouldn't need to go outside that really) or just rip them from the on-disc roster's ring announcements and use those ones.

In addition to this I really hope Dolph is billed from Hollywood FLORIDA this year, not Hollywood, California.

I've never really cared too much about the naming system but i'm excited as hell about the Create-A-Stadium mode.

My bro's finally let me use his 360 since he moved out and couldn't bring it with him so when i get WWE '12 i'm playing the fuck out of it.

Oh that sucks, Nathan isn't a selectable name this year. It used to be. That seriously blows.

It was great being announced as "From Manchester, England....NATHAN". Guess I will have to go with "The Natural" (my CAW's nickname) for his entrance this year...

Seriously though, who uses "Old" or "Octopus" as ring names for their CAW's???? Utterly shite.

1. Expand gameplay area so you can play beside the ramp and in the crowd for example. If what they say is true and they are in fact going to make gameplay similar to WWE TV then they definitely need to add this feature.

2. Choose your Referee. Similar to games such as FIFA where certain refs are more strict than others.

3. Choose your 3 Commentators. Purely for Entertainment

4. Weapon Wheel in every match. I mean seriously, HHH is the only wrestler I know that uses the sledgehammer yet it is one of the 4 default weapons. Also eliminates the need to run to the other side of the ring if you didn't get the weapon you wanted.

I could go on and on...

Before I go any further, I respect your opinions and concerns on the game... and as a fan as well, I'd like to share my agreements/disagreements with your ideas.

This topic has been beaten to death so much by THQ that it really is starting to irk me. THQ and WWE games are given a set number of polygons and a set number of space on the game discs so that they can be able to fine tweak everything and make sure it works. With the addition of other features, that require a lot more space, there's going to be somethings that get taken out... mainly the unimportant things. Because honestly, aside from maybe a few areas of WWE television, I rarely see people enter into the crowd unless the heel is using the crowd as a get away. I get that fans want this feature, but for them to do that, other features like CaW, Storymode, and all that have to be either dumb down or taken out all together.

So in a sense, them taking out a few minor feats like crowd fighting and expanding more game modes and creative modes seems like something I wouldn't mind all too much.

It would be a new and unique feature, for sure, but other than Mike Chioda there aren't any notable refs to go by... except maybe that blonde guy who seems to ref all of Cena's matches.

4. Weapon Wheel in every match. I mean seriously, HHH is the only wrestler I know that uses the sledgehammer yet it is one of the 4 default weapons. Also eliminates the need to run to the other side of the ring if you didn't get the weapon you wanted.

I will say that the weapon wheel in every No DQ type match could be a benefit, and it does get tiring to see the same two weapons over and over... four if you count the ring bell by the announcer's table and the steps.

And now for me to finally break the silence and tell everyone that WWE '12 or any future WWE game adding in GM-Mode at this point in time is pointless. General Managers in WWE programming are rarely even noticed, and when they are, it's only because Teddy Long is in some stupid "woman problems" angle/storyline.

I agree, the GM-Modes were fun and they made the older SvR games seem more competitive, but the fact remains that if THQ is trying to go with "real life like" gaming then they need to take out a lot of the game modes that don't exactly fit with the mold. And sorry to break it to you, but the GM Mode would be one of them.

Anyway, I just finished paying off my pre-order for WWE '12 and can't wait for this game to come out. Would be nice if you can purchase some C.A.R. add-ons like barbed wire ropes or "six sided rings"... because believe it or not, WWE once implemented at Six Sided ring... also, I'm pretty sure that there will be a lot IW/TNA rings and ROH rings, but the unfortunate part is that I don't believe that you can put the rings up on the file share server.

Oh well, the new mode still looks fun, and I can't wait to do a little work with it. I'm probably going to have to create 13 or 14 different arenas if they'd let us hold that many.

Sin Cara has been chosen to be on the Mexican version of WWE '12.
Do you think this is right considering that Mysterio is a Veteran and even ADR is now a 2 Time WWE Champion do you think any of them should have been chosen for the cover. I personally do not think it is right but granting Misticos legacy in Mexico maybe it is.

What are your opinions on it?

It wouldn't make sense if mysterio is on the cover because he is injured and Sin Cara is know as the Mexican Sensation so it would probably make more sense putting him on teh cover over Del Rio

Well, let's face it, Sin Cara is more popular than both Mysterio and Del Rio right now.

A lot of fans got tired of Rey Rey a couple of years ago. And as for Del Rio he's just not as exiting as Sin Cara is built and considering Del Rio is a heel I don't see why he would make the cover alone.

I heard that even Eddie Guerrero was considered for the cover. Maye if they put all 4 Mexicans in it it would have been better and it would make everyone happy.

I don't know what the Mexicans think of this but I think Sin Cara is a good choice for a poster boy considering how over he is. Hell, he even had his own comic book back in Mexico. And everyone knows he's Mistico so where's the problem?

id much rather see juan cena on the cover!

but yeah, Mistico is huge in mexico and is being bred alongside ADR as the next great mexican stars.

As for heels not being on boxsets? I remember edge being on a few years ago? Miz was on last year oh and also orton was featured when he was heel too. Actually come to think about it, there has been tons of heels featured on covers.
