2011-12 NHL Playoffs LD

I just hope he didn't give LA bad luck with that article. Although they've already exceeded expectations (well except for Bob Ryan, but he's a Boston writer) so we'll see. But they need to keep this momentum up. I'm still pissed I had to sit through the OT of NJ/PHI last night. Missed the whole 1st period of the Kings game. I take it you weren't cool with the Devils winning.

Last night was a great night for hockey, first we got to see a huge OT win out of NJ, & then the Fucking Kings won!! Great hockey night!

I don't give a shit who wins that series, honestly. The Rangers can beat the Flyers (6-0 against them this year), and Bryzgalov is a fuckin' sieve, and they can beat the Devils, too.

If I had my choice, I'd take the Flyers just to eliminate the Brodeur factor, but honestly, I'm plenty confident in this club taking on either of those and advancing. They have every bit of talent and drive to do so.

The teams that scare me are the ones out West — primarily Los Angeles.

Its funny cause now folks is jumping on LA's bandwagon. My homie says the Kings' major threats in the West were Vancouver and St. Louis, and possibly Nashville. I think I'd like to see them against Nashville. I doubt they're pushovers.

I didn't realize that I had lost touch with how the Eastern Conference series were going. I didn't realize that the Rangers/Capitals series had already declared a winner.

:)

Well unless Shanahan is continuing his "Screw the Rangers" style of suspension-giving, then Alex Ovechkin should be sitting out Game 5.

You can't hit guys in the head, you can't not go after the puck so you can hit a guy, and you can't leave your feet. He did all of that.

I'm surprised Ovechkin only got a charging minor.

Just got home, who did Ovechkin run? Because we all know, there's different rules for who committed the offense, and who he did it against. May not be fair, but that's the way it is and always has been.

Anisimov did all the work on that goal, too. Great job beating the Caps to the puck to negate the Icing and find an open Gaborik.

Gaborik with goals in back to back playoff games. He needed that.

Series tied at 2-2, should make for an interesting few games and some sleepless nights for certain Rangers fans on here. It really sucks when inferior teams get cheap victories over better and more deserving teams, don't you think?

Questionable officiating again today, including the penalty call which lead to the GWG.

I've just learned to live with officiating. Especially in hockey. Are there brutal calls at times? Absolutely. And you can get angry and want to throw things at your TV, there's nothing wrong with that, but at the end of the day it will all even out. The Rangers will get a few homer calls tomorrow just as the Caps got at the end today with Knuble knocking the puck over the glass and whatever else. That's not a slight against the Rangers, it's just a fact that home teams will get a few favourable calls. It just gets tiring to keep hearing conspiracy theories all the time. The eventual winner of the Cup gets no credit because of it. Never mind the fact that winning 16 playoff games should be enough to get some credit, or staying up until 1:45 in the morning (in Newfoundland) to watch a triple OT game with two teams that I really could care less about just because it's the playoffs.

We have a sweep! Kings are back in the conference finals after 19 years. 8 more wins baby. Let's get it.

Nothing sleepless about it. That call was horseshit, as was the officiating on BOTH sides of the puck the entire game.
