08/11/14 Raw LD - Happy birthday, brother!

Just trying to keep an open mind. In going into WrestleMania 17 I thought having Vince vs. Shane wrestle at mania was stupid. They had a fantastic match. Thought the same thing about Vince vs. Hogan and Vince vs. HBK. Both great matches. Wasn't crazy about Floyd Mayweather getting a match at mania. Guess what. Great match. Good stories and good matches can come from people you least suspect. So far the angle has been good and I think they will hide their weaknesses by using drama and working the crowd at SummerSlam.

That's nice and all dude, but that's not how you came across with this:

I really don't get all the hate for the McMahon/Bella angle. Do you guys just hate it because the women are getting so much time on what's supposed to be your tough guy show? This is much better than the usual diva storyline.

If your point is as your reply implies, why continue with the loaded comment that it must be because sexism? You know some people could just think it's shit and that is totally ok, right?

BTW, I've never understood why people feel the need to add women (wrestling or otherwise) to a wrestling show. Isn't it kind of awkward to get a chubby for Trish or AJ or who-the-fuck-ever and then be subjected to, I dunno, a Test match?

Isn't there some sort of big time bday bash or something tonight? We've seen like one thing about it.

Actually, I'd prefer they didn't water things down for once. And what is there to simplify in the first place?

I guess what I meant is that whilst he's a very good character, I'm not a fan of his promos at the moment. I just feel their a bit wordy without really saying anything to add to the feud. That last promo could have been summarized in 3 lines and yet Wyatt took 4 mins saying a lot of what he has said to others in the past. So in order to simplify I'd take out some of vague wording, make it Jericho specific and make it so the words he is saying in the manner he says it makes sense 90% of the time to everyone. There were times in that promo where I thought "what does this have to do with anything?"

Remember when WZ said AJ was pregnant?

Mike Killiam

There are a lot of rumors out there that former Divas Champion AJ Lee is pregnant. While we still can't confirm said rumors, that would explain the mysterious absence after WrestleMania that seemed to come out of nowhere.

:lmao: seems logical amirite?

I still care about Wyatt, but Jericho leaving again and then returning again over and over...I just don't care about him or whatever he's doing until he leaves again.

Sadly, I have to agree. I just haven't seen any inspiration from him in a long while. Still love to watch him work, but there's no excitement in it anymore.

I'll always take flavor over simplification.

Hey look. It's the big gold belt

Ugh, I thought they were rid of that anachronism?

Cena should have a shirt made up of all the colours he's used in the past 12 years.
A very small selection. ;) :p

I don't see how I'm acting like a child but that doesn't matter to me. I just wonder if everyone would hate this angle so much if the exact time was given to them but it went on earlier in the show. I've seen so many people complain that it closed the show. Does it really matter that much?

It bothers me when they go on last because the last segment is usually given a significant amount of time and attention compared to others. So for the last two weeks, we've seen a lot of emphasis put on this feud between two people with no potential (one of whom is severely lacking talent) while the 4 talented guys who have been groomed to be big stars over the past year are having their programs treated like throwaways. There has been very little development with these characters that I have been invested in for a while now in favor of Steph and Co. stroking their egos. It's frustrating.
