It's weird but anything that gets more title shots on the go is a good thing to me. I'm surprised that seven was the chosen number though.

I believe it was 10 in the early planning stages.

Well 7 is basically 2 full cycles. So I guess that makes sense. But like I say, I foresee some issues with the system but we can only try.

It does sort of mean that the Elite X title becomes a TV title, with its champion seemingly having to defend it every week.

I plan on making a thread where I'll go more in depth with the changes regarding the Elite X title. Hopefully it will clear any confusion up. Either way, I'm really excited for this, I think it will be a great way of elevating talent that deserves it.

What if someone wins the Elite X Title and doesn't have any desire to challenge for the World Title after 7 defenses? Like maybe they don't feel they stack up well against Showtime or whoever the champ is or they just for whatever reason are happy where they are?

I'd imagine by the time you got to seven defenses, you're probably of dealing with opponents you've beaten, and are itching to see how you stack up against other competition. Seven rounds facing the same competition seems a lot, and I'd bet on creative giving the person shots at upper card talent during their seven defenses, a la Titus and Vega

Just a thought, I imagine this was set up weeks ago. But I can't help but feel Vega has sort of cemented the decision that this is a good idea. SHIT also really has faired well against the top of the card, but Vega stepping up to Barbosa and Vega (and getting a win, in tag action) really does show that the supposed mid card title holders can up their game like the best of them.

Too bad he's carrying the wrong belt.

RE: Rated R Nightmare - Since the days of Angel & Thrash being your main competition, you've stepped up and you've been hanging with solid mid-carders, man... and if you're having an easier time with a story than a promo, you'll find it to be easier in the long run to come up with some better RP's.

Thanks man, it means a lot hearing that. Like I said I knew the loss was coming but I was still happy with my RP none the less.

It probably is a good sign the story portion is coming easier now. I generally feel I can come up with a couple good lines about most people here promo wise so that's just a matter of expanding more on it.
