This realisation has just dawned on me. I'm one RP away from a WHC contendership.
Woah.
I heard a Game Of Thrones reference?
EDIT - But yeah, Ricky Runn, Krypto and Beard... Pre Kingdom Come who is guessing that? Congrats to all.
Blasphemy!Killjoy, Vega has had more successful title defenses in one reign than you managed in all yours combined.
Constant title defenses don't work in reality (TNA dropped it twice, WWE played it for comedy), they didn't work well in WZCW (since the rule was dropped in Bowen's reign, the number of two round champions dropped like a stone). It makes for a hot potatoed title that benefits nobody. I'm going to cut myself off here before I puss off Creative for shitting on their idea though.
Blasphemy!
Don't worry about it. I brainstormed a good chuck of it, and it certainly doesn't bother me to hear negative feedback.
And for the record, TNA fucked the TV title harder than a $2 ****e.
The title revamp is meant for a game of hot potato. Why? Because eventually someone is gonna catch lightning in the hand and run with it. You mentioned Vega and Bowen. That's two examples. Sam Smith, Rush and Big Dave [/b[are other examples of long running champs. All 3 of those guys were considered the cream of the crop during their reigns as champs but before they could be set up as World title contenders, circumstances doomed them. Big Dave was the only one to win it after a bit and was forced to leave right after. We decided to use these new rules as a failsafe should someone dominate for too long and outgrow his competition. At the same time, we've faced the problem of non-PPV rounds never having title matches. There's another case solved. And should a time come where it's not needed to defend every week, we'll stop.
And to think I planned on taking a break to focus on getting a life....this has all been worth the lonely nights right?
For those who haven't seen it yet, Dolph Ziggler's Asian cousin plays Kenshi in Mortal Kombat Legacy now...
I'm always glad to see new applications.
