Hmm, gonna try something new to try and post wrestling effectively and not feel too obligated.

Basically, I hope people will talk about whatever is on their mind about the WWE in here, kind of like a blog or any questions you might have about the company.

What I'm wondering right now is how likely is it that one day John Cena will be in the same position as Edge was? I don't know much about neck injuries and the surgeries the two had gone through for their necks but I know that Edge had to retire due to a lot of wear and tear over the years. Is it possible Cena could be in the same situation especially due to his work load? I'd have to think that lifting 250+ lb men on to his shoulders(AA) on a regular basis is not helping any neck or other lingering injuries he may have.

The thing about WWE is they will run down these men until there's nothing left and gotten every last penny out of them. You hear it a lot and from guys like Jeff Hardy, RVD, Mysterio, Jericho, Punk that they are burnt out and usually have to wait until their contract expires, to get any real sort of break/rest.

Anyway, I guess my question is do you think Cena could end up in the same situation as Edge if he continues to run down his body and do you think WWE is/will put any sort of provisions in to protect Cena's health?(especially the neck/spine.)

Edge has put his body through a lot more crazy shit than Cena, including a ridiculous amount of TLC matches where he has taken a variety of really brutal spots. Same could be said for the numerous MitB matches he's been in.

I think every wrestler could end up like Edge, but it takes years upon years upon years of doing damage to your body. Keep in mind, Edge wrestled for roughly 17-18 years (factoring in time off for injury recovery). John Cena has wrestled about half that.

Yes, It's true Edge had some high risk matches.
But that doesn't mean nothing, a bad fall can end someone wrestling career, they don't need that much to be retired.
But I hope John Cena gets some time off, and that WWE push some guy to fill his position, because they are desperately in need of something like that.

Yeah I agree with J-Glass. Edge has taken a lot of big bumps and had a lot more matches than Cena so you'd think Cena is safe for now.

Then again it could happen to any wrestler in the WWE if they get a serious injury. You can't predict it. We also don't really know how badly Cena is injured.

The last time CM Punk and John Cena main-evented a 3 hour show, The Nexus debuted. Before they did, Wade Barrett said in an interview that WWE would never be the same again, now Punk just made a similar comment.

I'm hoping there's some type of big surprise/twist at the end of the show.
