WWE RAW LD 7/11/2011 - This Fire Burns

I tend to agree with Sly. Where's Punk going to go?

Apparently he's going to go work for peanuts in a failing ROH, just so he can keep his name.

Perhaps that is what Punk plans, I guess no one knows for certain, but how stupid would Punk be to turn down big money in the WWE, thousands of fans at every show, and his name in the mainstream media...just so the WWE can't trademark CM Punk.

If Punk really does leave the WWE for ROH because of his name, he's the stupidest motherfucker ever.

Oh, and by the way, I was 100% serious earlier, they should just rename RAW "The C.M. Punk Show." They could put "with friends" at the end. I don't care who the friends are, though, if I get Punk.

And Bret Hart swore he'd never appear on WWE television programming again. See how believable the word of a wrestler is?

That only took, what, 15 years? Punk has stated that he won't go to TNA, due to the fact he got pissed at management and burned bridges. Even if TNA would take him back, he would just be the newest, flavor-of-the-month, WWE reject that TNA would screw up without too much effort.

Why in God's name would CM Punk ever go to fucking TNA? There isn't a reason in the world to think he would. He's not sick of the WWE so much as he's sick of wrestling in general, so when his contract ends I highly doubt he's going to sign any kind of deal with any wrestling company other than maybe a few indy dates before he heads back to the WWE, which seems like a foregone conclusion at this point considering all of the attention and promo time they've given Punk to speak his mind.

Plus there's the whole thing about Punk absolutely hating TNA.

Seriously, you've got better odds of John Cena showing up in ROH this weekend than Punk ever joining TNA.

Both Punk and the WWE need to swallow some pride. The WWE is in need of starpower, and Punk has never been hotter. It seems like a match made in heaven really.

As opposed to go and work for ROH, a promotion that's bleeding money and can't pay him a fraction of what the WWE does?

I think you're really underestimating Punk's intelligence. My guess is he's already re-signed.

Prove the ROH is failing. We both know that is a fucking ridiculous exaggeration. Sure, he may turn down money now to keep his name, but then he can continue to get royalties on his name for the rest of his career and life. That may not get him the same amount of money as staying in WWE, but he'll make a few dollars that way.
