Sheamus might be turning heel for their upcoming UK tour. This match was set up by Evolution to get the title off of Dean Ambrose. Sheamus winning and joining Evolution would satisfy both.

I think higher ups in WWE actually see something in him. He was against reigns while the rest of 3mb were being beaten and he was the only one from 3mb in this battle royale, and I'm pretty sure there was something else aswell but I dont remember.
He's being booked better than the rest of 3mb anyway.
