WWE RAW LD 12/6/2010 - The Good, The Bad & The Michael Cole

I was reading a book yesterday, talking about Ric Flair's NWA championship run. Basically, Flair would be booked to look vulnerable, and then in the actual title match, Flair would retain by whatever means necessary. The fans both hated him and lapped it up, and paid to see him lose. And yet he never did, and so it continued. He was a massive draw this way.

I really think that's what they have in mind with Miz - and I love it.

Isn't this par for the course for a heel champion? Nothing new here.

Alex's punishment was going through a table via a powerbomb....Orton even used a atomic drop.

Do you think with fans as knowledgeable about what goes on behind the scenes in professional wrestling that this could still work?

Yeah, but I mean I think they're really going with it, you know? Like they're going to have him hold onto it for a long, long time, like JBL.

They should use a wheelchair in a chairs match. Or put someone through a bench which can technically be called a chair too.

Yeah but the only reason JBL held it for so long was cus Hunter didn't wanna work Tuesdays! :p
