Ok, I'm going to play Devil's advocate to everyone's "why did that happen" sentiment:

Tyson Kidd just split from his partner and he just debuted a bodyguard. It's always been standard that the bodyguard just dominate people and get a guy a quick push. Why not go the other way and have the bodyguard learn to be a good bodyguard and thus, the partnership takes time to develop in order to work. This will help since Tyson Kidd has literally 2 weeks under his belt in singles. A slow push where he AND his bodyguard get better at their jobs will actually be kind of cool.
