Its annoying that you can't get any more points for 'minutes played' if the game goes into extra time.

My gripe with extra time comes from two legged games when away goals count.

The team playing away second has 30 mins more to score a goal that can count for 2.

He also recognised that none of the Greeks were looking at what he was doing, having picked their spot, so he could go that little bit earlier.

I know I'm late to the party, but HOLY SHIT. I was born in and have lots of family still living in Costa Rica. I haven't been there in 20 years but damn if that wasn't an incredibly emotional match for me. I would normally root for an underdog team like Greece and it's fitting they took us to the limit unlike all the "favorites" we've knocked out. Still, I have to say, I'm incredibly proud of my little home country for being this world cups ultimate over achievers.

Glad that Costarica won, I am irritated by deadbeat Greece who can won just by referees help. They got miracurosly by dived penalty in group but enough is enough. I mean Costarica even had uncalled penalty in regulars and red card and deadbeats couldnt even get a hold and beat them.
