Will A Top Raw Face Turn?

WrestleZone has learned CM Punk's injury appears to be serious, as the MRI on his hip apparently shows significant enough damage to warrant a surgery or serious rehabilitation therapy, according to a well-placed WWE source.

"Punk really screwed up his hip, and it needs to be addressed," the source told us earlier today, "this is a major blow to Monday Night Raw, because the only heels on the show are Nexus and Miz. It's pretty obvious Punk was moved to Raw to become a top heel, but that's on hold now because he'll be out at least til the end of the year."

As mentioned in the above story from WZ.com today. CM Punk is going to be out for what looks like an extended period of time. I agree with what was posted in the article, but not 100%. I think Mr. Paglino forgot about Sheamus. BUT, his overall point was taken in context. So, in order to level out things that are happening Raw and storyline opportunities in general... It seems someone or a couple guys will have to turn Heel. Or they will have to do some more maneuvering with SmackDown and bring in some Heels that way.

My questions are simple...

What would you do if you were WWE Creative?

Would you bring someone over from SD? If so, who?

Would you turn some existing Face(s) that are on Raw now and go from there?

Would you do both? Turn a guy and bring a guy over from SD as well? OR...

Would you leave it the way it is and just be happy that Raw is basically Face heavy?

I think if it were me, I would do both. Bring a guy over from SD and also turn a guy.

Maybe Del-Rio. Maybe even Tyler Reks. But to go right with some established talent... I would bring Cody Rhodes back to Raw. His new "Dashing" gimmick suits him well. I could see him in some pretty solid feuds with the Raw roster. Daniel Bryan, a Face Dibiase, etc... In my opinion, I think Cody is ready to take the next step. Staying with that theme, McIntyre could use a jump to Raw to kind of rejuvenate his career, which has stalled a bit lately. Tag Titles are cool, but he was on a much different path 6 months ago.

The guy I think I would turn would be Morrison. Not that I am tired of him or do not like him as a Face. But I would turn someone that would benefit from it and could also hold their own being a Top Heel.

It looks as though he is about to embark on something with Sheamus. But that could be easily worked around by having him help Sheamus in some sort of way as his big turn. Sheamus is a really over Heel and Morrison doing something to help him would surely turn him and KEEP him Heel!

I think a Morrison turn on a big stage could be a pretty big moment if done right. A lot of children like him, so a big turn for him right now could be that final "leap" he needs to be at a Championship, Main Event level. I think he could really receive some decent heat, like I said, IF done correctly.

No need because if you see closely SD actually lacks heels.

To answer your other questions I think Raaw has a good balaance of heels as well as faces. Punk is a very talented performer but I don't think he will be missed.

As to your answer Raw has Nexus, Miz, Sheamus as main event heels while Cena and Orton are the main event faces. In case you don't know there are SEVEN guys in Nexus and hence any face facing them is an underdog. Who do you plan to turn anyway. Daniel Bryan who is extremely over as a babyface. Even John Morrison is pretty over so it would make no sense to turn them.

I was just posting that as an avid MMA fan (lets be honest I really don't know the ins and outs of wrestling like many others leaving me behind in that instance), I was more meaning that if he posted an MMA thread in here I'd no doubt make it a very active thread. More to helping him in his case as a prisoners, not using it as a "do it or" post.

The people who I alluded to that were injured/ on leave will be back. Rolling with the punches of the ratings/reviews/etc would be the best idea in my opinion because changing rosters (well besides Zack Ryder who really isn't doing anything now) would hurt their momentum accumulated.
