Why John Cena Shouldn't Go Heel

I'm not sure why you would want Cena to go heel. Especially if Punk was supposed to be the next top face. I couldn't see them going with him especially with the fact Punk preety much balked at contract renegotiations for a while. If anything Cena should turn heel when he's no longer the number one draw. To put it simple as long as fan's want Cena to stay face over the amount who want him to turn heel he should stay face. R-Truth turned heel because guess what most didn't care about him being a face and the little kids finally stopped singing along. So they turned him heel just like they would anybody else. When Cena has more haters then fans and someone who is DEPENDABLE WWE GUY (A.K.A Not Punk) then he should turn heel.

You guys are idiots. Cena has been a heel the last 6 or so years. I cant wait until he turns face! I have been waiting for years when cena would come out and actually entertain me instead of screaming into a microphone about not quitting. God he's so bland.

I dont understand how a 12 time world champion can act like a fucking pussy all the time. "Wahhh, i lost the match, but im getting my title back *smiles like a *******". He clearly doesnt give a shit anymore. Even cena is bored of cena. He says the same shit over and over again....and wins the title over and over.

WWE has put too much time into cena. They convinced me that no one will ever beat him and he will always be the champ and now i have no reason to watch every week. Whats the point of watching if i already know cena is going to win every fucking match.:banghead:

Interesting. I see a lot of blind assumptions, personal conclusions, and most importantly, personal bias being thrown around. Let's pull it back for a second and evaluate another portion of this debate no one touches on. It's about John Cena himself. The man by his own accord, is among the top 3 professional athletes in the world and among the top performers in entertainment as a whole in terms of the time he dedicates to charitable organizations and in many cases, also the U.S. armed forces. Cena's clean, handsome look and his clear-cut ethical reputation had made him a near perfect representative for WWE in these matters. Overwhelmingly more so than anyone else on their roster. Also, his charming and non-threatening demeanor makes him an ideal person to interact with the disabled, terminally ill children, and so fourth. Essentially, you're it's doubtful there will be a Cena heel-turn anytime soon because Cena in-ring is one of WWE's most valuable assets outside the ring.

Okay, this right here is one of the problems with the way Cena is being used today. The WWE needs to stop treating its fans like morons. I'm so sick of hearing about how Cena must carry himself a certain way in real life because of the character he potrays on TV. This is part of the problem with John, in that he is so wrapped up in his character, he cant distinguish reality from fantasy, and this in turn disrupts the natural flow of storylines because he must follow a certain guideline which has an origin unrelated to the show. There is no valid reason Cena or any other star, who in essence are actors, can not potray themselves as a villian, only to leave work and go about continuing to help out with charities or the military. These people have their own personal lives and what they do in the ring should be entirely separate. Think about this logically, if you or lets say a kid, saw a wrestler at an airport, do you think that person would think twice about getting their autograph, regardless if they portray themselves as a 'good or bad' guy. Most kids are smart enough to know the whole thing is a show, and if they don't it wont take very long for them to figure it out. In reality, parents should be smart enough to let them know it's not real because they shouldn't be growing up believing in things that aren't true. Heels and baby faces both take part in these events, and they should continue to you, not because it portrays their character in a good light but it reflects the goodness of the person they are. Cena may not need to change into a heel now, but to never ever turn him because of this logic is absurd, and will continue to weigh the show down, as more fans grow tired of the same worn out act. Like I have said, this is really pathetic of WWE to go against the will of the fans like this. WWE did not succeed by placing itself in a restricted box, they became a mega power in this business because they were able to change and were willing to take risks.
