I'm asking this question in The Media Hub to get serious answers. Whenever I read an online article about James Corden, all of the comments are extremely negative and they generally either involve remarks on Corden being a fame-hungry asshole, a talentless hack, or both.
Although I am not a huge fan of Gavin and Stacey, the handful of episodes I saw were well-written. If you couple this with Corden's 2012 Tony Award, I don't see how anyone can rightly call him a talentless hack. As for him being an asshole, I have never seen him in a public appearance, but it seems as if every journalist that writes about him always includes a remark about him not being anywhere near as bad as people make him out to be. So, again, why do people in the UK and Ireland hate James Corden so much?
