Why did Mickie James Job last night?

This was all covered, but:
Mickie needed to drop the belt so she can go to SD!
Dropping it to Melina directly doesen't work because it devalues Mickie (by losing clean with no feud) and it gives a PPV quaility (potential) match on free tv. Which I wouldn't mind, but you can always save what fans REALLY want to see until its time for them to pay for it.
Instead of bringing in Melina to take it directly they chose Jillian and a 'dirty' pin. Mickie doesn't lose face, Jillian gets a quick rub for the win. She's now a former divas champion.
Jillian isn't a bad choice, she's a good worker with a horrible gimmick. The win could be a quick thank you or acknowledgement. And there's still the possiblity of her briefly feuding with Melina for a few weeks. Doesn't she get a mandatory rematch since she was champ?
Hell if I wrote it, next week I'd have her annoy Snoop Dogg by singing until he gives it to her. Might be a break from the Santino/Host segments.

the reason y she droped the title yesterday was because she was going to smackdown i think they handled the title change with giving it to jilian for about 5 minutes than going to melina a heel with a dirty win over mickie was great and a big surprise to just because with who it was but it was a good move by the wwe to give it to jilian first before giving to to melina. plus hall deserved to have a title at some point even if was only for like 5 min

I am sad that Melina's on Raw, not that she's a bad talent or anything...but Mickie had to be sacrificed in order for her to move over. This means no more Mickie on my TV screen on Monday nights (I barely get a chance to catch Smackdown)...

Mickie lost due to the trade to SD! so she had to lose it to somebody on the raw roster. Jillian was the best heel transitional champ right now over Alicia or Rosa cause Jillian is the most exp and deserved a title sometime in her career if only for a few mins. Melina will probably feud w/ Maryse when she returns plus the wasn't any botches in that match by both divas. So a counter or reversal is called a botch I don't think so. Jillian did botch w/ Melina but not Mickie. And as far as Michelle McCool haters out there she's not anorexic.

Personally I find her very attractive. I mean it's supposed to be a sport, not a body-building or beauty contest. Sometimes, people like Mickie or Trevor Murdoch have abilities that deserve a push despite how they're perceived to look. They can't all be as bland as Kelly and Orton.
Mickie should be frustrated with how she's been booked, she's easily the most over female wrestler on the entire roster. She shouldn't be jobbing to the likes of Jillian fucking Hall, or getting pinned cleanly week in and week out. It's ridiculous. If the WWE seriously are doing this because she's gained some weight...wow, just ridiculous. Mickie is still hotter than any other "diva" in the company. I guess if you can't see her ribs and internal organs, she isn't hot enough for you huh Vince?

I have to agree with Lazer here. If you get powerbomb from the turnbuckles on your head with a pin that contains leverage on the ropes with an idiotic inexperience referee in the ring calling the shots, it is technically not a job but a mini screw-job. It may seem like a squash, but how else do you expect Mickie James to lose the title in that fashion so she could be traded to SmackDown? Didn't anyone forget that Mickie pinned the Women's Champion and has basically beaten everyone on the SD roster except for Natalya?
They wanted to give Jillian a title reign in the company so she could use something else in her promos other than singing. Someone who gains that much major heat everytime should deserve that title, even if it is briefly. I mean c'mon, like the E would pit Melina against Mickie and maker her lose cleanly. It was an effective plan and since Mickie is leaving RAW, it will be forgotten what happened on her last night.

Now Mickie was not squashed by Jillian but she sold the Powerbomb like a pro, damn I almost believed she was completely out after that one.
Now the rumors about the weight has been going on for years and if they are true that is absolutely BS since even if she got a few pounds, she is still one of the hottest divas and not a generic one, she is still the most over diva there.
About her technique, yes, she has been a little sloppy lately but she has been given pure crap to work with outside of Gail Kim (which unfortunately sucked really bad), sorry but Rosa and Alicia are greener than a lemon and with Maryse is hit or miss from time to time.
Hopefully once she starts feuding with McCool we will see that fire again (Had to admit, maybe not the most charismatic girl there but she plays well the heel part and she is not bad in the ring, she moves very fluent in the ring).
Now we all should look at this in a positive way and so should Mickie, now she has real material to work with, I mean I rather seen Mickie wrestle Natalya for 3 minutes than 5 minutes trying to get something not mediocre out of Alicia Fox.
Hopefully with that (eventhough they are separate brands but still work together), Mickie will face Katie Leah again, those two had good chemistry together.

On the topic of diva standards, if Mickie James is, how come Natalya isn't scrutinized about her weight? They're both fat. Natalya doesn't bear any femininity either; her voice is so husky.

I'm not necessarily sad to see Mickie go to Smackdown. But I do think it was a crock what they did to Jillian Hall.
Jillian is probably the most under-rated Diva in the entire Women's roster. Unlike a majority of the other Divas, she is actually a wrestler and as been pointed out, she's been doing it for 10 years.
I am in disbelief that it took WWE this long to finally put a title on her, especially given how much heat she attracts from the audience. And for them to take the title away from her in a matter of minutes is an outrage.
If anything, Jillian should have been the long-term Diva's champion with Melina chasing the title.
All one needs to do is listen to the crowd reaction after Jillian won to realize that.

As far as the botches in the match, again I have to agree with Saritafan above after watching the matches several times .... the only thing Jillian botched was the reverse spinning kick from Melina, which resulted in Melina going with the flow, and falling on Jillian. Mickie was responsible for landing poorly on the monkey flip (probably because of the weight issue) as well as botching the Face Plant DDT from Jillian into the mat.
