First of all no one said that acting on the urges that they have is good or even okay. Second of all what you are describing is illegal because it is incest, because if they weren't related(not just by blood, I mean that she didn't raise him) then it would be okay.
There are paedophilia rights activist groups. They were more prodominate in the 70's and 80's and they failed. I doubt there would be a landslide of activist groups. Either way it won't happen. The difference is that black, women, and gay rights don't harm anyone while the lowering of the age of consent has the potential to cause harm to many children and teens.
A) People are still considered by law children past the age of 13.
B) 12/13 is not nearly as young of an age as you think. You seem to think that 12 year olds have the intelligence of a 5 year old. I was reading Hemingway when I was 12; probably 90% of people my age when I was 12 were very, very, very aware of the repercussions of sex.

With the whole 'precaution when children are around paedophiles' thing, I can almost guarantee that every single child on this earth has been either alone or in very close contact with a paedophile in their life. Probably several times. But how many are actually molested? Yes, there should be precautions with children out in society, but these precautions should be with every single person, not just paedophiles. Again, people just perceive paedophiles to be the most dangerous thing towards their children, when in reality, there are murderers and kidnappers out there as well.

So now you're saying children at the age of 12 are okay to have sex? Because if not, I don't see the point of this. There is a HUGE difference between a 12 year old and a 16 year old. The only people who think differently are the 12 year olds. And I'm starting to think you're very close to that age.
Completely different situations for a start. I didn't say all 12 year olds are 'innocent' in that sense. They're not, and I know many that are little bastards. But does that mean they should be raped by adults? Because legally that's what it would be.
Adults ARE sick if they have sex with children. It's rape and it's awful. But once again, I never said all people attratced to children WILL attack them. I simply stated I wouldn't leave my child around them for fear of it happening.
