Vince barely beat WCW and i am starting to think it was because of the people like ROCK Stone COLD, and HBK, not vince or his writers i think maybe their personality is what did it, and i think vince knows that and is scared of nything else so he doesnt speak of it

You're so ignorant towards other companies. It's like WWE is the only company that matters to you which leads me to think you know nothing about wrestling or any of it's history (cough Vince cough). I guarantee you that any fan of WWE knows what TNA is...You think Daniel Bryan would be over with the crowd if he wasn't already established outside of WWE? I don't...I'm not saying you have to like TNA or any other company, but atleast recognize the fact that they are there and are fairly established. They're on tv for a reason afterall... Again, if we were to all think like you, Ric Flair would only be a 12 time champion (8 WCW, 2 WCW international, & 2 WWF)

wrestlingfan I really do seem to think u have a flawed since of logic here u make random arguments that are pointless and that are ill researched. The fact that a promotion recognizes another wrestler's accomplishments isn't a bad thing what the WWE tries to do is not even recognize it due to the sole fact that they want to be considered the only wrestling company around

And that would be very stupid of WWE because if WWE is the only company in wrestling, I guarantee that ratings will fail and wrestling will phase out. Whether the companies and/or certian fans want to belive it or not, wrestling promotions need to somewhat work together in order to stay alive. No competition is bad business. If wrestling fans get sick of WWE and have no other promotions to turn to, they stop watching wrestling period.

I think this topic's discussion goes to show that nobody will officially break Ric Flair's record, at least any time soon.

It's almost universally accepted that Ric Flair has been a world champion 16 times. That's not a matter of debate anymore. Today, there's the debate of which promotion's world titles "count." If someone gets 10 titles in the WWE and 7 in other promotions, some people will consider the other titles valid, and others will not. He'll only have surpassed Flair's record in some people's eyes. There will always be that debate of when a promotion's title becomes valid, so there won't be a consensus that the record was broken.

That being said, no one is currently on the fast track to breaking the record. My best guess would be Cena at this point, since he still has several years at the top of his game, but it's still doubtful that he'll make it to 16.

Look wrestlingfan, we r not trying to bash u we just want u to know that WWE is not the be all end all of Pro wrestling, lots of greats were not even in the WWE ever, STING is a prime example he was tag partners with the ultimate warrior and they each went their own way, and now Sting is known by as many fans as John Cena is. The WWE would love to get Sting

I never said it was nor did I say I was Pro-WWE. Frankly I like TNA more than it but im just saying i may not like the company but its still at this point right now the pinnacle of sports entertainment.

And yes I can say Im not an indies person. i adore the talent they have theirbut to actually sit there and watch them is boring but i respect Ring of Honor.

Exactly, what we're doing now is called a discussion. We listened to your opinions and I even stated earlier that I respect all of them. We're all just trying to give you some knowledge and insight on other companie, aswell as the indies and how prestige is actually respresented. just because the E is one of the most well known promotions it didn't get there over night it bought out several other promotions and unified several titles and parted ways with it's NWA lineage. The fact of the matter is at the end of the day there are several promotions out there that have the right to have a world title and not just a heavy weight title. All of us have been arguing case and point about our discussions but u seem to bring in random topics that are pointless out of nowhere

Both posts before me sum it up, but I am a pro WWE fan right now but I am first and formost a wrestling fan, and i know that wwe is doing stupid stuff as is TNA, i would watch WCW over WWF at first but then when the writers got crazy i switched, if TNA could keep a path and follow it i would watch them more, but i just get lost, at least WWE is putting on some good matches right now, maybe one day we will have another promotion that is as good as WWE was when they cared but for now lets pray TNA gets the job done somehow

The first thing u need to know about the indies is, the WWE was once an indy league, back when there were multiple territories, VKM jr bought the company from his dad and nought all the territories and broke code and promote in other promotions teritories like the AWA, after all that was done we got the juggernaut called the WWF.

I will always love the WWE but I would have to argue that if TNA used it's talent alot better with better story lines they would flat out own the WWE. TNA has so much better talent but some of their stories aren't getting over well or following through if TNA could figure that out they would be golden.

He's in Immortal right now and it's very possible that if Jeff fucks up with these drug charges and shit that he could be stripped of the title which in my eyes leaves Jeff Jarrett as the next "lead wrestler" of Immortal and the guy to carry the title. I mean, even if it doesn't go that way, Jarrett's bound to win the title once more to atleast tie with Flair. For god sakes, the man created the damn company!

Jeff Jarret, who i have no clue how he got 15 titles, could very well be the be the next to get to 16. If he does then i see him and angle trading it back and fourth and tna having three 16 time or more world chams.

They're treating Jarrett like crap in his own company. I mean he supposed to be Head of Immortal. I hope with Dreamer as a Creative Executive there will be some good ideas. from some blogs i've read he seems to have some good ones.

Yes Flair himself believes to have 21 World Titles.
