Ratedmstar I must say, that is the shit !!!!! I love it !!!!! could anyone have thought of something better ???? I think not. Not even the likes of my genius would have neccessarily thought of a twist and turn like that. Don't think I'm saying your more of a genius than I am, but damn what a good idea.
Now Bitches, listen up. Theres been a lot of funny, quirky, intersting, and brilliant ideas tossed around as to what will be done with this scenario and yet no one has really addressed what will happen logically.
I don't see any way that The Undertaker has a chance, he's a Smackdown star and that's where he belongs, they need his star power and he needs a place to shine, Smackdown is it. Anyone from Smackdown is out of the question, the next guy to hold that mockery of a belt is and has to be a Raw superstar, no question.
Now, the next thing is narrowing down the prospects logically and figureing it all out the way that WWE Creative might do. This means we have to think outside the box, I don't believe there will be a Jericho return just because I don't think this Cena thing was planned and it would be early for him to come back so he's out of the picture.
Triple H is a prime candidate and the fact that Vince said this would make history leads me to the thought that Triple H could be the guy simply because adding another title reign to his record would be history in some way as it would be his 11th title reign. I personally see Triple H being the Next Ric Flair as far as titles go and this would be another step in that direction. I do agree with many of you that he doesn't need the title becasue he is already popular enough, but with Cena out of the picture he is obviously the next most popular guy with the most earning potential, remember marketing is a big deal here with the WWE and Triple H is very, very marketable. He has the stuff to be champion as we all know and is no stranger to the spotlight so he would be a natural fit. The only reason I see that he might not even be considered would be due to the fact that he does already have a scheduled match at No Mercy with Umaga and it's been marketed and advertised to be a big deal, maybe not though they can possible combine the two matches and make a 3 way dance, Triple H, Umaga, Orton. I don't know and I don't want to say that the WWE is going to have The Game take the reigns but I also wouldn't be suprised if they did. if it was him than Triple H v.s. Randy Orton at No Mercy, not a bad match and either way the fans should be happier with their new champion than with Cena. It would be a breath of fresh air for everyone as I believe it will be anyways since Cena has held the belt for so long.
O.K. Next Prospect
Mr.Kennedy,....Uuuuhhh I dont know..... It's not like I don't like Kennedy but I don't really see him as the best guy in the business, on Raw, or as a real champion. I could see him holding the Intercontinental for quite a while or something like that but I don't think he's quite ready to be the main man yet. He does have charisma comeing out of his ears practically, and he is a pretty good wrestler, entertaining on the microphone, good entrance, everything. I just don't think it's his time yet, he could be in a match for the title but I don't foresee him wearing it anytime soon. In the future he definately has the potential and could do it but not right now, I say give him another year or so and strap him up but as for sunday at No Mercy, not winning the belt or being in the match unless it is a 3 way or some other special match like that.
Alright Next Candidate.....
Let's talk about oooooohh..... Shawn Michaels. This is an interesting idea here and other than Triple H who better to just throw in a title match than The Main Event, The Showstopper Shawn Michaels. He's been gone for a while, no one would really expect it and you all know it would be a spectacular match. The only thing with that is that if it is Shawn Michaels is in the match with Orton you pretty well know how that is going to turn out. Orton RKO for the title. I don't see them putting their stock back into Shawn simply because of his age and physical condition. Now I was suprised when I saw him at Wrestlemania against Cena, he was in amazing shape and put on one of the greatest matches of his career in my opinion but he is a little older than he was in 1996 and so on if you get my point, he's no spring daisy anymore. I love HBK and I would like nothing more than to see him with that championship gold again but realistically I don't see it happening.
Next test subject........
Umaga, Now guys, I hate to even mention his name because I hate Umaga. I think he's one of dumbest characters they've had for quite some time and I thougt he was worthless as the Intercontinental champion anyways, but ! since he is one of their main guys he has to be ruled in. Once again I see it as unlikely since he is already scheduled with Triple H but who knows what McMahon and WWE Creative would do.
Speaking of Intercontinental Champions lets get to the current champ Jeff Hardy. Now this is a prospect I like. I could see it happening, Randy Orton V.S. Jeff Hardy for the WWE Championship, it would work too, technically Jeff Hardy would be the next guy in line since he is the Intercontinental Champion just one step below WWE Champion, and, we all know he would put on one hell of a match as he always does. This guy has been through the business in and out of the company and appears to be with the WWE for good, he has shown true grit in his last year or so and proved to be real championship material and I could see him useing that crash and burn style to take Orton out in some way. Do I think should he be in the match that he would win.... Not neccessarily, but.. looking at it from a marketing prospectus this guy could be the one, he is already extremely popular and has a huge fan base, this would simply boost that through the roof. He could carry the title, I don't know if he could hold it for very long with the likes of Triple H, Orton, Kennedy, and Umaga on his heels but for a little while it would be a smart move in my opinion. The only real question about that is whether the regular fans and real fans like ourselves would but into it and accept him as the best in the business, that is a gamble I think but Vince has done worse before so I could see it happening on a very, very slim chance.
Now, the only other way I see this going and the only other guy I see being even a remote possibility would be a guy comeing back from an injury..... Bobby Lashley. What a shock that would be huh ??? I could see it and believe it. Bobby Lashley V.S. Randy Orton for the title, not a bad idea. It would shock everyone and make for a really interesting match. I think Orton will lose that match just because it is Lashley but then again if he was just returning I don't think they would bring him in right away and just strap him with the title. It is an interesting idea though so we should be waiting for that too possibly.
The last prospect is the definite challenger Randy Orton, now I know your saying "why are you talking about him as a prospect, he's already in the match." and that is true. I am just going to tell you why I think no matter who it is he gets his title back. Randy Orton as we all know is a 2-time former champion, and above that he got it really early in his career before he was really ready to get it. he went to the top really fast, wasn't ready, and dropped the ball. as a result he got knocked back down the pedestal and as we've watched over time he has worked his way back to the top. I believe wether you like him or not you have to admit that he has earned his time now. He's got more wrestling experinence, is in great shape, and has really been playing his cards right. If you look at this past year he has decimated everyone in his path and lived up to his "Legend Killer" monicker. This whole year they have been building him and building him and building him up and with the WWE putting that much effort behind him I dont foresee him not getting the title. Now there are a lot of other guys and a lot of other possibilities but I believe the WWE is going to put their stock in Randy Orton. Looking at the Cena-Orton storyline I think they were going to give him the title sunday anyways and I also think they are going to go back on that. As for who is going to be the guy he fights, I don't know, but no matter who it is I don't think it matters at this point. Randy Orton whether you like it or not is more than likely going to be your new WWE Champion.
Where the WWE is going to go with this I don't know, if they want to give Orton the belt and make it more legit I could see them putting him in some kind of multi challenger match like a triple threat or fatal four way and him pulling it out somehow, but right now WWE has really got everyone by the short and curlys on this thing. I like the idea of having a Battle Royal and the winner of that fighting Orton at No mercy that same night but I'm not too positive that's what they will do. I have to say Iam actually stumpped on this one. All I know for sure is that we finally!!! finally!!! get a new champion and I couldn't be happier. I think it was hurting the company to have Cena winning non stop regardless of opponent and circumstance just becasue everyone has to lose somehow and I don't think it has been fair to everyone else for him to have the gold for so long with no waiver. however, bottom line I think it is RKO season now and whatever happens after that is going to be spectacular and make the busines stronger.
