Who Stops Jeff?

Alright, tonight we have heard Jeff Hardy call himself the Anti-Christ of wrestling, something that pissed me off due to morals, but that's besides the point. I want to know who you guys think will be the one who puts down this self professed Anti-Christ. I think it's Matt Hardy, but that's a 1 in five million chance. So let me in on y'alls opinions, who will beat Jeff and either knock some sense into him, or knock him right out of TNA.

If you got pissed off because he said "anti-christ of wrestling", than you're absolutely illiterate. The term "anti-christ" means "anti-king". It has no religious attachments at all. Neither does the word "christ" unless specifically talking about Christianity. Christ is merely another word for king. Calling ones-self a "anti-christ" OF something, ANYTHING other than religion, doesn't have anything to do with the devil or god or anything. It merely means, in terms I can't dumb down anymore, king bad guy. Seriously, religious people that get upset over stuff like that drive me crazy. It has nothing to do with religion and all of a sudden their all upset because they don't even know what the word "Christ", the name of their lord and savior, actually means in the real world, outside their little bubble.

Holy fuck, that was a rant and a half.

I honest to God hope Jeff Hardy holds it for a long time, long enough for AJ Styles to turn face and take it from him. However, I don't actually see that happening, and see it being either Kurt or Anderson somewhere down the line.

Bitter much bud? Actually, anti-christ literally means "the leading antagonist against Christ." Hardy was the one himself who refrenced it being Biblical. If you're going to tear a guy down fo being wrong, at least be right yourself.;) When did anyone get pissed off other then you? But this has NOTHING to do with the thread.

Anyway, I think that RVD will in some way cost Hardy the title, but it will be the Pope who wins it from him. He's been positioned as the "lone wolf", so to speak, fighting against the powers that be now that Sting and Nash are gone. So Pope it will be. It won't be anytime soon, but I still see it being Pope.

I think it has to be the Pope. I mean, they'll probably go with Anderson or RVD short term, but the Pope makes the most sense long term. He has the best combo of mic ability & in-ring talent, & he and Hardy could have a really good feud. And, they could use the religious language if the wanted to-The Pope vs the Anti Christ. Though I don't know if they'll want to do that. I think Pope's next immediate feud will be with Styles, and either Anderson or RVD will feud with Hardy. But long term, I think Pope is the answer.

Who's going to stop Jeff Hardy? How about the North Carolina courts, when he gets convicted of the various drug-related charges that they brought up against him. Hopefully TNA realizes that there is a strong possibility that he's going to be going to jail for a while and get the belt off of him sooner rather than later.

Pope would be the obvious choice, this guy is on the cusp of main eventing. However my dark house choice would be Robert Roode.

As of now the only main event faces (not including veterans) that TNA have are RVD (who is already too stale as the company face in my opinion), Anderson who i can't take seriously with that horse-hole t shirt, Samoa Joe (probably should be one of the two next in line for a title shot, the other being Pope). Personally whilst I feel these are all great talents, Robert Roode could add a fresh feel to the main event. Beer Money have done all they can do and I feel it is time for him to break away, he has that triple h feel about him. Have a scenario where he is forced to face AJ for the Television championship and wins only to have fortune and the immortals beat him down, giving him motivation to fight the good fight whilst pushing him towards mainevent.

As in who actually beats him for the title? I have no fucking idea, man — this is less than a week old and you're already looking for answers to something that TNA probably doesn't even have the answer to yet? For the love of the Antichrist...

RVD, Mr. Anderson, Pope and Samoa Joe are the four most likely combatants to feud with Jeff in the here and now as all have history with him — RVD being the friend who was betrayed, Anderson the competitor who was screwed, Pope the angry young up and comer being held down by Immortal and Joe the same.

I guess my other post did not explain enough.
I don't see Hardy losing any time soon.
it seems like Nash and Sting will take time off. maybe Angle? I think Pope will try, but I don't see him winning. maybe Joe?
whoever it is, it's going to be awhile.

TNA took Jeff Hardy and made him heel. the crowd hates on Hogan/Bischoff and Hardy. it would do no good to have him lose the title anytime soon. your going to have different face wrestlers try to beat him unsuccessfully. then finally when a face does beat him it's going to be a big celebration. similar to what WCW did with nWo. you had Hogan as champion and then finally when Sting beat him all of WCW came out to celebrate in the ring.
no idea who could be the one to beat him.

Make no mistake about it. We should get used to seeing the title with Jeff Hardy. It is going to be on him for a while more than likely. Who eventually takes it? Too early to tell but it will likely be someone looking to take that next step. So Anderson or Pope seem most likely with Samoa Joe a possibility if he can get back in the good graces.

I'm guessing that Jeff's going to hold onto the title for a long time, but who eventually takes it off him; my guess is either Samoa Joe or Pope. My reasons for Joe is because he looks like he's about to get a push and he's a top face and also looks like he's going against the faction that Jeff's in, my reason for Pope is because he's an up and comer and will soon be in the title picture.

How could you be offended by him saying anti-christ? Whatever, it's just wrestling, no need to take this shit seriously. I'm pretty sure that nobody will beat Jeff Hardy for a while. He's going to hold that belt for the long haul, but down the road I can see Samoa Joe taking the belt off of him. Joe probably feels screwed by Jarrett and he'll want his revenge, so he'll attack the entire group. Eventually he'll get Jeff. It has been a while since we've seen a Samoa Joe title reign, I'll definitely welcome it.

Anderson could also challenge for the belt, if he doesn't get injured. Anderson is the one that got pinned at BFG, if I'm not mistaken, so he must feel really bitter about it as well (kayfabe). I wouldn't be surprised if he took the belt either.

I know this sounds crazy but hear me out...The person that beats jeff hardy for the title will be hulk hogan himself. Think about this 7 or 8 months down the road the tension between hulk and hardy builts causing immortals to turn on hulk. Hulk challenges jeff for the gold, career v. title ! The match becomes a huge brawl between all the heels and faces in the company and during the chaos stings makes his return clocks jeff with the bat and hogan makes the cover 1...2...3 !!!! The impact zone goes crazy, fans are dancing, crying and drink champagne all at the same time FEEL GOOD MOMENT OF THE YEAR

I thinks it to early to say who is going to take the title from Hardy. Hardy will probably be champ for a pretty long time and we should get to used to him with the belt because I don't see him losing it anytime soon. The main contenders to take the belt from him are RVD, Anderson, Pope, and Joe. In the end I would like to Joe or Pope take the title from Hardy.

My thoughts before BFG was if Hardy won it was so he could quickly loose the belt to RVD. The heel turn now has me thinking that if he can stay out of jail he will hold it for a while. I can't see him loosing it very soon with all that TNA has invested in this storyline. If he does end up doing some jail time he will know in advance and will be able to drop the title to whoever is next in line.

I hate when people call each other names then start arguing semantics. In the language we all share through common experience and everyday usage, anti-christ means devil and you know it.

Not that I have any problem with him calling himself that.

Anyway, I think Samoa Joe will be the next champion, although it's still pretty up in the air now. RVD is another possibility.

Got to be Joe, AJ or his brother Matt. I think if TNA contacts Matt right away they can already start writing the storyline and have it ready by the time his 90 day no comete clause is up with the WWE. As of right now, just have "Immortal" reign supreme across TNA and dominate RVD and everyone in their path until Matt gets there. Maybe team Matt with Shannon Moore and Gregory Helms and have them feud with "They". It would draw huge for TNA. That's my first choice. My second, AJ. Turns face again, turns on Flair, Hogan, Fourtune and everybody and takes out Jeff and maybe take the title from him. My last choice, Joe. It would make an interesting feud. I mean, didn't "they" kidnapp Samoa Joe? What ever happened to that? Have him get his revenge. He's a one man army and can probably take out everybody one by one. It would get him into the main event scene again which I've missed. It'll be interesting to see how this ends.

My thoughts on this are complicated by the uncertain futures of Sting and Nash, but if you notice, Nash went "biblical" in his promo about wisdom and compassion and how he was turning the money down for the guys in the back.

With Jeff's AC reference, that makes two...which leads me to believe they might be planning have a "redeemed" character which could be Samoa Joe or.............AJ Styles. If Sting or Nash hang around, you could have "They" looking like they have won the entire war as Hardy beats RVD and/or The Pope/Anderson.

The "redeemed" character could be Samoa Joe, Kurt Angle or an AJ Styles who seeks forgiveness for his going to the dark side. Dixie needs a hero character to save her company.

Then, to mix references, you have Nash or Sting playing Obi Wan, AJ or Joe playing Luke going up against the Empire. Or the redeemed taking on the antichrist of wresting or what have you.

The other way to play it is have Kurt come back and wrap up his career by saving TNA.

To me the only 3 guys that make sense are those 3. One of the greatest wrestlers ever, the guy who everyone expects to be great but hasn't gotten there (Joe) and the guy who is labeled "TNA" more than anyone (AJ).

The other thing that makes this a potential clusterbomb is Fortune. The They side already seems ridiculously big after one week.

I don't mind the idea of 2 stables going at it, but it should be boiled down to 3 or 4 in a unit with a leader of the faction.

Not that it would be a good idea, but I am shocked Russo hasn't come up with the idea of Faction Wars to the extreme. Nash with 4 guys, Foley with 4 guys, Flair with 4 guys, Bisch with 4 guys etc etc. The aging talkers with a stable of current guys. Almost like gangs or teams. Again not saying it is a GOOD idea, but sounds like something he might try. It COULD be good, but would be very hard to book properly. Sort of like wrestling Risk on crack.

Yeahhhhhh no. ******s like you were also predicting Abyss vs Hogan for the title at BFG (Speaking of which those people all seemed to disappear quite quickly) this would suck, Hogan is too battered to wrestle, he himself has said he can't do it anymore. It would be pointless, who gets over with Hulk Hogan pinning Jeff? No one, it would suck ass.

I actually see it being RVD because they had a friendship and look what happened at BFG. Plus RVD seems pretty pissed off and let's go back a little further, when RVD won the title he did two matches in one night and the first match was Jeff, now remember this was for an opportunity for a championship match so they would have treated it as a championship match, if RVD beat him there it stands a chance he'll do it again, if They/Fortune don't get involved and let's face it, Fortune can't resist a chance to be dicks who get involved in anything.

I dont think Jeff will be losing the title any time soon, TNA will want to make him a legitimate champion and to emphasise the power of Immortal's grip on the company.

Matt Hardy would be a viable option if he crosses the line to TNA, but I am sure TNA would put him back alongside Jeff, to reunite the Hardy Boyz, so I think that Matt v Jeff is a minor possiblity at present.

Rob Van Dam is a good shout, as Jeff was the friend who screwed him over, but Anderson, Pope are all possbilitlies too.

Also, what about a face turn for AJ Styles and a ladder match for the title against Jeff. That would be an awesome match that I would pay to see for sure!

Like IDR said, this is damn near impossible to predict right now. This angle hasn't been even going for two weeks....

RVD would be the most logical choice. This whole "they" thing really picked up once RVD got taken out by Abyss. Now that Jeff has revealed himself as the mastermind behind that attack, the main feud here is clearly Jeff/RVD, and for good reason. All of the IWC knows that RVD and Jeff are good friends outside the ring, so Jeff can really get a TON of heat from this angle.

Other easy choice would be Anderson. He's obviously the guy next to RVD who will be leading the charge against Immortal. Plus you could use the whole friend factor, but it wouldn't work as well as it would with RVD. Though you could make it more about Anderson capturing his first title, ala Hardy in 08 with WWE. Immortal could keep screwing him over until finally Anderson wins in Hardy at Armageddon 08 style to capture his first World Title.
