OK, where to begin?
Wrestling has been something that's appeared a few times in my life before now. My dad used to watch the old-school WWF when I was a kid. During this time period, I remember three main characters: Hulk Hogan, Bret Hart, and The Undertaker. Oddly enough, I got Bret Hart confused with Shawn Michaels in terms of personality, thinking he was a arrogant pretty-boy. And The Undertaker scared me so much that my dad eventually stopped watching wrestling. Although I don't quite remember if it was Undertaker or Paul Bearer that scared me more...
Anyway, after that wrestling wasn't a subject we talked about in my house for a while, so I wound up missing out on the Attitude Era. All I remember was hearing about Hogan's WCW heel turn, kids talking about who was better, Austin or Rock (I would've picked the Rock), and one episode of Raw where Mankind fought someone in a cage match, and Kane came down to attack him.
I didn't hear much about wrestling until I caught a few episodes of TNA in the summer of 07. This was during the period when Kurt Angle was the top heel and pretty much dominated the whole show. Even back when I didn't really get the ins and outs of the business, I still thought they devoted too much time to promos and not enough to the actual wrestling.
After that, I rented a copy of Smackdown VS RAW 2008, and started gaining more of an interest in WWE. I started watching full time at the end of 07, and have been ever since.
I joined this site more to take part in the e-fed that's here, as it sounds like a lot of fun. Although, I just want to be sure, do you really need 50 posts to apply?
