Welcome all New Members (If You Are New Post in Here)

After watching “Wrestling with Shadows” for the first time the other day, it got me thinking that John Cena and Bret Hart are more alike than first thought. Both wrestlers played the role of hero who finds a way to succeed while projecting wholesome ideals for their fans. When Hart was supplanted by Shawn Michaels, Shawn was the up and coming anti-hero with tremendous momentum and crowd support. Because the then WWF had the role of underdog within its war with WCW, the marketing machine decided to go into a different direction. With Hart being booed and losing steam, the WWF threw its went to Shawn Michaels then ultimately Stone Cold Steve Austin. However with John Cena, when faced with the same situation with Randy Orton in the role of Shawn Michaels, the WWE steadfastly stayed with Cena. So my question to the forum is, do you think if the WWE had been not been the underdog would Bret have enjoyed similar success currently being enjoyed by John Cena? And as a follow up question, what potential feuds or storylines do you think would have occurred. This is my first question to the forum so please forgive me if this has already been discussed.

TechWrestFan79, that's a good thought about Cena and Hart that you have there. However, this particular thread's purpose is for new members to be welcomed and to say a little bit about themselves before they get started on the forums.

You should begin by posting in existing threads. Then, once you break the posting threshold, you can create your own thread.

But you're off to a good start. We hope this is a sign of things to come!

My apologies and thanks for the direction. I guess I'll post here. Ive been a lifelong fan, first a NWA/WCW fan then WWE fan. I enjoyed Ric Flair's stranglehold on the World title rather than Hulk Hogan's brand of wrestling. Although Flair was the heel, his ability to want him to lose made his matches really enjoyable. With Hulk's brand, I was one of the few who who rooted against him. My top four favorite wrestlers are Ric Flair, Bret Hart, Kurt Angle and Sting. Hope that's a good start.

Sounds good. It seems as if you'd enjoy the Old School Wrestling Forums. Take a stab at once of the subjects that have been posted and fire away!

Hello everyone. longtime fan of the site. I go here to stay up to date on all the wrestling news both TNA and WWE. I hail from the buckeye state. 26. yeah I'm a deputy sheriff. I have a degree in criminal justice. Anyway thats me. I grew up watching wrestling as a kid mostly WWF back in the day, but I can't stand to watch it anymore it's just too predictable. But ever since I started watching TNA a couple years ago, I noticed how different it is from WWE and I always find myself coming back to watch it every week or so.

I'm new to this site, but have been watching wrestling for over 20 years. I have been posting on another site for about ten years but one of the moderators is extremely rude and insults everyone so I have decided to check out this site. I have also noticed that there is alot more variety of fans here also instead of just WWE fans which is great.

I am a fan of all types of wrestling and my favourite promotions are ProWrestling Noah and TNA at the moment. My favourite wrestlers of all time are Kenta Kobashi, Sting, Bret Hart, Christopher Daniels, Samoa Joe, Ricky Steamboat, The Great Muta, Goldberg, Bryan Danielson, Jumbo Tsuruta, AJ Styles, Vader and Kurt Angle, just to name a few. I love the Japanese strong style and the best era in wrestling in my opinion was 1990's AJPW.

I look forward to debating wresling with everyone here

I'm new to the site, been using wrestlezone for ages and finally decided to participate in the forums. My username is of course inspired by the WWE's worst choice of a release in recent history.

Hello everybody! I have followed Wrestlezone for the last couple years and I'm looking forward to getting involed. I am seventeen and have watched wrestling since i was five when my brother knocked me unconcious by trying to do a Tombstone on me.
I am Welsh but live in America currently. For the past three years i was unable to watch WWE as i was living in China and had to rely on Wrestlezone for everything to do with wrestling. It was only then I began to learn about wrestling outside of WWE.
Anyway, any advice would be much appreciated!

The best advice we can give is to read the rules. They're your best friend. And also, no more tombstones. Unless you tuck your head before it happens. But happy posting and feel free to start discussion in any of our threads, and also feel free to post in our Old School section as well. Lots of background on some of yesteryear's superstars.

Hi I am new! Long time lurker first time poster!
I was a huge fan of wrestling all my life and always loved WCW. My favorite wrestlers was/is Sting. I watched a lot of WWF back in the day as well. I transfered over to WWfF when WCW was bought out and really really got tired of their BS so I stopped watching all together. Then I started watching a little TNA when Sting came in to wrestle once or twice. Then I stopped watching for a little while and started getting really into TNA and have been a huge fan since. I still watch WWE sometimes so that I can talk to people about WWE but I have a really hard time watching it cause it has been SO BAD for such along time.

Welcome aboard! Be sure to read over the rules, and you're than more than welcome to stop by the TNA section and discuss all the hot topics :D

Hey, what's up? Nub here, obviously. Been a fan of the WWF/WWE for ages. The first match I can remember watching was between The Undertaker and Razor Ramon back in the early or mid 90s. Got out of it in early 2002-ish, getting back into it now.
