UWF: Mock Draft III

I wasn't going to do a background. It's supposed to be a Debut Show, so there shouldn'yt be any storylines. I did however include a few real life feuds on my card (Vince VS Warrior, Batista VS Booker), but I'm gonna start my show, and work with the story from there.

Meh, I have something for all my guys, i am just hoping i did the right things with them all. I think the Graham Vs Sammartino vs Vader is a good match. Graham was a hated Wrestler, Sammartino was loved and vader is the Monster Brawler, who could flat out go, and i would totally Mark out for an Austin Savage match when they were in the prime of their careers.

alright i might give this a shot, meh i got to sunday too put it together.

The Main Event: Steel Cage Match for the SPW Heavyweight title
Savage vs Austin

Dibiase vs Von Erich

Tournament to determine the number on contender for the SPW heavyweight title: the winner of each match will face off in a triple threat match.

Rowdy Roddy Piper vs Dusty Rhodes
Bruno Sammartino vs Stan Hansen

No Holds Barred
Magnum T.A vs Tully Blanchard

Ric Flair vs Arn Anderson

DDP vs "Mr Perfect" Curt Hennig

Tag Team Title Match
Dustin Rhodes & Barry Windham vs British Bulldogs.

TV Title Battle Royal Semi Final

TV Title Battle Royal Semi Final
Great Muta vs. Lex Luger vs. Petey Williams vs. Jushin Liger
Golden Run Round 1
• Goldberg vs. The Undertaker
• Bret Hart vs. Owen Hart
TV title final
• Abyss vs. Lex Luger

The actual poster looks much better, anyway who wud like a copy i can e-mail to them

Not too impressed by the card, nor the placing of the matches. Rey vs. AJ is a good match, but giving it away this early could hurt you. Also, it should be the opening match to a card, really heating up the crowd. AMW vs. NAO...you seem to not really know what to do, but because you HAD to have two tag teams, their just placed on the card. I've seen Bret vs. Owen twice already, and so there's no real suspense. Goldberg vs. Undertaker looks good on paper, but I think their styles would clash heavily resulting in a poor match. You're wasting some of your best workers in a battle royal, of which Abyss comes out of one into the main-event. Sorry, but for a stacked roster, your card comes up short for me.

Grade: C-

TitansBrawl.jpg

Bobby Heenan has brough together some of the biggest, baddest, and meanest men in the history of Professional Wrestling and he's unleashing them upon each other for what is sure to be a Titans Brawl!

Fatal 4 Way for the BCW Title
Andre the Giant VS Yokozuna VS The Big Show VS The Great Khali

"Prison Cell" Cage Match
Vince McMahon VS The Ultimate Warrior

Ironman Match
Batista VS Booker T

Elimination Tables Match for the BCW Tag Team Titles
The Dudleys VS The Legion of Doom VS The Outsiders

Hardcore Match
Mick Foley VS Umaga

Singles Match
Kane VS Monty Brown

Battle Royal for the BCW Television Title

You're giving too much away much to early. With your roster, you should have people dying to FINALLY get to see Andre go up against his "son", or watch Khali finally step in the ring with the greatest big man of all time in Andre. Instead, you throw them in a Fatal 4 Way match where all the suspense is gone with the ring of a bell. You have a million gimmick matches, except for the one match which needs it most, Kane vs. Monty Brown. The Elimination Tables match seems like an interesting concept, but, again, it would have been something that would have been better to built towards, not given away immediately. And, Batista vs. Booker T in an Ironman match...if you lose the first round, you'll deserve it for making people sit through an hour of what we had to suffer through at Summerslam 2006. Those two do not work well together, and certainly not in an Ironman match.

Your card has some potential, but it's going to be hard to top this in the next round. After this round, there's really nothing I want to see from your card in the next round, and thus, would be hard to vote for you.

Grade: C

Vince McMahon announce that in the first show we will have Tournaments for the titles

IWF World Championship Tournament

Hulk Hogan vs Mr. Kennedy

Chris Jericho vs Finlay

Randy Orton vs John Cena

Bobby Lashley vs Jerry Lawler

IWF International Championship Tournament

Shelton Benjamin vs MVP

Carlito Vs Ultimo Dragon

IWF World Tag Team Championship Tournament

APA vs Hardy Boys

Londrick vs William Regal & Paul Burchill

CARD SUBJECT TO CHANGE

Not a bad card at all. You have the roster in the right places on the card, and have gave voters a reason to vote for you to see how the tournament plays out. Additionally, your matches hold some interest and would make people want to watch your card, and are not randomly thrown together matches with styles of wrestlers who would never mesh. However, I cannot give you a grade yet as match order is very important, especially with a card like this. However, with a proper match order, you'll do OK.

Grade: TBD

It's looking a bit weak at the moment, but I think I can pull through. I am very open to trade offers, by the way.

Main Event
SEI World Heavyweight Title Match

Sting (C) vs. The Rock

Triple H vs. CM Punk

Colt Cabana vs. Eddie Guerrero

Tag Team Title Tournament
The Steiner Bros. vs. The Motorcity Machine Guns

Jeff Jarrett vs. Rob Van Dam

Mike Awesome vs. Samoa Joe

Tag Team Title Tournament 3-Way
Generation Next vs. Latin American Exchange vs. Minessota Wrestling Crew

Not a bad card, especially for the talent you have. I would have held off on Sting vs. Rock, as that is a "Dream Match" and you're giving it away immediately. But, then again, if you don't make it into the next round, I guess it doesn't matter. Jarrett vs. Van Dam would be an interesting match. It's the kind of match that could be very good, or very bad. Mike Awesome vs. Joe holds no appeal whatsoever to me. I mean, can you have a match where there's no selling at all? And, Generation Next vs. LAX vs. MINNESOTA WRECKING CREW? I'm not sure how they fit into that equation as those are completely different and conflicting styles of wrestling.

Grade: C+

Card and Background Info:

Angle: Christopher Daniels and Bryan Danielson got off to a rocky start as each declared themself the best american wrestler alive. just as it looked as though they were going to get it on, Lance Storm interupted and stated that the best wrestlers in the world are from canada, not america and thus revealed himself to be the best canadian wrestler alive. just then, he was interupted by Chris Benoit who made his claim to be the best Canadian wrestler in the world. Paul Heyman got in the middle of both arguments and made 2 matches for TWFS Presents: Warzone at Wembley!

Chris Benoit VS Bryan Danielson - Submition Match
and
Christopher Daniels VS Lance Storm - 2 out of 3 Falls Match

Angle: Jake the Snake Roberts gets an amazing pop from the fans when he makes his first appearance in TWFS wrestling but his party is brought to a halt when Paul Heyman informs him that his match at TWFS Presents: Warzone at Wembley will be against Bam Bam Bigelow. Bigelow then attacks the Snake from behind and after leaving him a bloody mess in the ring takes Jake's sack holding Damien (his snake) and leaves with it.

Bam Bam Bigelow VS Jake "The Snake" Roberts

Tournament to Determine the True Champion:
Paul Heyman announces the first ever TWFS Champion will be decided by the following tournament. These 7 guys have qualified thus far.

HBK VS Rhyno
Shane Douglas VS Bruiser Brody
Taz VS Low Ki
Rick Rude VS ?

The 8th and final spot in the tournament is still wide open but will not be announced until just before the match.

Angle: Brock Lesnar and Nigel Mcguinness meet one on one in a match made by GM Paul Heyman to determine the owner of the 8th spot in the championship tournament but a winner is never determined as the two brawl out of the ring into the backstage area. They proceed to fight backstage until both are battered and bloody. they are eventually broken up by officials after an enormous brawl that went all through out the arena. Instead of finding a wrestler to put in the 8th spot, Paul Heyman has decided to put these two in a different title match at TWFS Presents: Warzone at Wembley Brock Lesnar and Nigel Mcguinness will meet to decide the first ever TWFS TV Title Champion in a No Holds Barred Match.

Match:
Brock Lesnar VS Nigel Mcguinness - No Holds Barred Match for the TWFS TV Title

Angle: Christian Cage and Edge are both making thier case to Paul Heyman that they be the man to hold the coveted 8th spot in the championship tournament. Cage goes as far as challenging Edge to a match for the 8th spot but Edge doesnt seem to want to face his brother. Before Edge can answer the challenge, Paul Heyman informs both of them that they'll be in a championship match at TWFS Presents: Warzone at Wembley but it will be for the tag team championships in a match against the Rock n Roll Express. Cage is pissed but Edge is seemingly enthusiastic about getting back together with his brother. EDGE AND CHRISTIAN ARE BACK.

STAY TUNED TO FIND OUT THE RESULTS OF TWFS Presents: Warzone at Wembley!

Hmm, the background on the card certainly helps explain your card. And, not a bad card, although your inclusion of Shane Douglas, Taz, and Low Ki in the tournament for the main-event belt is completely puzzling. Edge vs. Rock and Roll Express would be a very fun match to watch as would Bam Bam vs. Roberts. While not too appealing to me, the Daniels/Danielson/Storm/Benoit little storyline has some potential. Not a bad card, but severely lacking that main-event match, the one that will sell the card. Tournaments sell shows, but only if there is a winner that night. That will not be the case in your card, so you really need that headlining match. And, I'm not sure you have it.

I like this card MUCH better than the other one. Keep this card.

The only big drawback to your card is the giving away of Savage vs. Austin in the first round. Otherwise, your show holds great intrigue, plenty of drawing power, and plenty of staying power in this Mock Draft game. Magnum vs. Tully draws based on what happened 20 years ago, Flair vs. Anderson draws on its own, plus has really storyline potential, and Rhodes and Windham vs. Bulldogs would be a good match. DDP vs. Henning has serious potential, and your tournament match-ups are fantastic. Oh yeah, and you have the big main-event which would sell a show by itself.

I'm docking your grade just a bit because you're giving the Savage vs. Austin match away in the first round, but definitely the best card so far.

Grade: A-

Overall placing (with no knowledge of results or future implications):

1. Brian
2. Whole Show

Oh, and, I'll try and post reviews whenever asked. There really is no need to ask 4 or 5 times though. A lot of times, I'll read through this thread during the week, but because I'm working 65 hours every week, don't really have the energy or time to respond. Weekends are when I'll try and catch up, or at least offer asked-for advice.

Thanks for all that Sly, And I suppose I am giving alot away early. I've never done this before, so now I know for later what I can change. I was thinking what you said about giving it all away right away, but at the same time, I also wanted to make a card that would make sure I lasted at least the first few rounds. I've got a few ideas up my sleeve, but I suppose you did just Pwn me there.

are we still allowed to change our cards or now that we have submitted them do we need to keep them

why am i the only one who thinks the franchise is awesome?? he was one of my alltime favorites. i love the franchise.
Because his in-ring work is pitiful, he was boring, and his mic skills were sub-par. Just because he cursed a lot in front of a few die-hard fans doesn't mean that he was any good.

With that being said, send RVDGurl a PM. I'm sure she'll back you on the Shane Douglass express.

.

Well my problem with that, is i could have a good feud with several of my main event stars, using Savage vs Austin first was a way to get me out of the gate, and if i used another one of my alternatives, and get eliminated, then i couldn't use the Austin vs Savage match. Honestly, though what your grade and what somebody else would grade is probably a whole lot different, you could probably give me an A and somebody would give me a D. It's the knowledge thing and you are on a higher level than most people.

the franchise was not boring. he kicked ass all over ecw and carried the entire franchise on his back for a loooong time. "im not gunna kick your ass............the hell im not (runs in and kicks ass)" i loved that. no one else loved that?????

i do appreciate u ranking my card second tho sly, i really didnt expect that at all. ive got some surprises still to come to make that ranking worth it. and the franchise kicks ass.

I'm looking forward to seeing how the votes go in comparison with Slyfox's grades. If they have a big correlation, I'm going out in the first round. Let's hope not.

Just posting a slightly better presented card:

You're sorry that no one wants my wrestlers or you're sarcastically apologising for the fact that no one wants my wrestlers?

I'm surprised that you don't want the MWC or that TWFS doesn't want Joe or Awesome. He did want Van Dam and Guerrero but he never got back to me on my offer.

Meh, I have a good combination of tag teams. The Minnesotta Wrecking Crew ouldn't do much help for me, because i don't wanna give up anything for them. Also i have plans.
