Unification of low-card titles at WM25?

In recent weeks, we have seen both sets of tag team champions feuding with each other. Next week the Colons have the oppurtunity to old both tag championships on Smackdown by beating Miz and Morrison. I predict a dirty finish, but I do think that we are shaping up to see both tag champions taking each other on at Wrestlemania to unify the titles.

In another interesting sidenote, Melina and Maryse have been feuding for literally no reason on Smackdown in the past two weeks. Melina's feud with Beth has also been cooling off. I can't see were Melina and Maryse could be going except a match between the two. It seems unecessary for this much planning to go on an interpromotional divas match with no consquence, so I think we might see the Women's Championship and the Diva's pink butterfly invitational award unified at Wrestlemania too.

My final suggestion is a little more tenuous, but try and bear with me. JBL has recently said he is going to make history at Wrestlemania 25. He is also believed to be heading into an Intercontinental Championship feud with CM Punk. I think it is possible that this means he wil be in an IC/US title feud at Wrestlemania. There are plenty of people on Smackdown who could take the belt of Shelton in the mean time, who currently have nothing to do, but probably will be on the card. Umaga and Kozlov spring to mind immediately, but there are others who aren't yet confirmed for MITB that could do it, R-Truth, Kendrick, Helms, loads.

If these titles were all unified, we'd be left with each brand having a top champion, there being one mid card title, one women's title, one tag title, and potentially a returning cruiserweight title, but with it being a proper midcard title on Smackdown. Most of the midcarders there could pass off for cruiserweights anyway. What do you think?

Interesting idea but I can't see it working. Having all three sets of titles unified on the same night would not make sense. I can definitely see the tag titles unified, seeing as Miz and Morrison move around anyway, and with last weeks tag team match and next one. Maybe Mania will finally be the match where both belts are on the line, the only problem being this match has happened three of four times in the last month.

The womens one could be, with rumours of a potential massive 25 women battle royale, it would make sense to be for a belt. However, they have only just created the Divas championship so it would be them admitting an error by unifying them.

I cannot see the mid card titles unified at all though. Wouldn't be good, as mid card feuds are nothing already, removing a title would kill them completely.

They will probably need to unify at least two belts before NoC though, seeing as there are probably too many titles to fit into the show currently, but I can only see this being the tag titles.

I would like to see the titles unified there's just way too many but in order for that to happen the brand extension has to end. That won't happen though as WWE makes more money by having 2 seperate rosters (house show revenue) and there's just way too much talent that most upper mid carders wouldn't get much TV time and mid carders would get no TV time.

I do not like unifications of any championships to be honest. If I would change anything about a championship, I would make the ECW Championship eligible to be won by someone on any show, as an ECW superstar can win a title on any of the shows. WWE can still bring life back into all of the championships. Unifying the titles should be their absolutely LAST resort. Both of the tag team championships are not being defended as much, but can still be glorified. Bring in some tag teams from development or just put any 2 wrestlers together and who knows? They could be just as successful as Miz and Morrison is now, after 16 months of being a team. The United States Championship and Intercontinental Championship are both held by very superior athletes who are willing to do whatever it takes to retain their titles. That's a good thing, but they way WWE is booking it... you would have no idea of that. Have multiple people feuding over both titles, with the champ overcoming all-comers, before finally lsoing it. That way... there is no need to unify them. WWE could very well, unify the Women's and Diva's Championships, but that would be a huge waste of money, taking all this time to create the championship, just to unify it. The Women's Championship is obviously the better title of the two, but as long as it could be defended on both shows... I'm happy.

I agree i cant see the womens/divas title being unfied But I can very much see the tag titles unfied. both tag team champions have been putting on good to great matches on smackdown as of late and theres not that many spots open for the money in the bank so i think they will have a match for all the tag titles on the line and mania just to put them on the card in some type of gmmick match maybe a 2 out of 3 falls match or steelcage match or sometype of gmmick but there is a very small chance they will do that
