*MERGED* [OFFICIAL] WWE Title Unification/Possible Brand Unification Discussion

okay lately i've been seeing alot of " dolphin ziggler v. Daniel Bryan " matches , I've posted this thread before but alot of people said ( cm punk ) was going to fued with Daniel Bryan but anyway cm punk is injured now and I strongly believe the titles are going to be unified at the TLC ppv , what do you think ?

Sorry to jump in but I figured this was the best thread to post it:

I personally feel that a brand unification isn't as bad as people make out. Initially the roster will be extremely heavy in main event and midcard wrestlers, but surely this can be turned into a good thing?

By having a lot of wrestlers, there needs to be something for them, this is a good excuse to bulk up the tag division as in the last few years people have hated the lack of competition. It was also call for more belts to be introduced, rated at different levels (eg tv, european titles type of thing), this gives lower card wrestlers an aim whilst bumping people into their own categories as it were.

Also you can introduce new categories (eg hardcore or cruiserweight) which moves some wrestlers away from the main event and midcard scene, clearing it up and making the business diverse enough people can jump from division to division.

I'm not trying to say im 'tude fanatic, but this kind of model would work with a big roster, and with the amount of tv time over the two shows, you would have plenty of time for all of them. You could even tie some of the specialist divisions to certain shows whilst the rest are on both.

The Miz is currently holding the Money In The Bank briefcase, with 1 guaranteed title shot at the time of his choosing. Miz is floating around at the moment without a real feud. Here's my idea:

Miz gains some momentum back by leading a team to a win at Survivor Series. Maybe feud with someone he pinned during the match until the Rumble. The Miz goes on to WIN THE ROYAL RUMBLE(I also have a feeling we will see a single digit entry win this year's rumble.)
Now, Miz will hold both the Royal Rumble opportunity at WrestleMania AND Money In The Bank. The next night on Raw, or in the coming weeks, Miz says he will be the biggest star this company has ever seen. Miz says he has an idea for WrestleMania. He uses his Rumble opportunity to face the World Heavyweight Champ at Mania, but says he is not done. Miz says that he will also be using his Money In The Bank contract to turn this match into a Triple Threat. He says winning just ONE title at Mania has been done over and over, but NOONE has ever won 2 titles in one night, on the biggest stage of them all. Miz adds the WWE champion to the match and makes it for BOTH titles.
The Miz goes on to defeat let's say Orton(WWE champ) and Edge(WHC) and become Undisputed Champion.

I think this would be an AWESOME(no pun intended) way to catapult Miz to a huge level. We all know he has the mic skills and is always improving in the ring. Miz is an up and comer and bonafide superstar in the making. The same way Jericho was when he became the first Undisputed champion. Jericho beat The Rock and Austin in the same night, 2 established stars that anyone would have put their money on that night. That win skyrocketed Jericho, and I feel could do the same for The Miz in 2011.

I actually like that concept, I think it would be quite entertaining to watch, but my problem is hearing Michael Cole drone on and on, now I think the Miz is very talented, he reminds me of a Jericho/Rock Hybrid.

And with the cockiness it could actually work

i havent heard or read anything about wwe merging the world and wwe titles into one or even merging the raw and smackdown rosters but in my opinion if that is what they are doing then im all for it..i have always said that the roster split was a bad idea and that was confirmed even more when they all but got rid of the tag team divison so yea merging both shows into one whole roster again would definitely do a lot to reinvigorate the tag team divison and if they are going to merge both shows into one roster again then they need to make alot of releases,such as superstars that rarely get used and then they need to bring back tag teams that they released from thier contracts to help rebuild the tag team division...now as far as what titles they should keep,well thats easy..they should keep the wwe title,the i.c. title,tag team titles,and divas title,and then they should bring back the european title

I like this Idea. I think it would be great. To have The Miz win the RR and Win the WHC, then Use his "Raw" MITB to cash in, in the same night and win the WWE title... and have him win both belts at WM, would be the single biggest event I think in WM history thus far... Perhaps bigger than HBK's retirement.

Just to add to it, after all this happens, and The Miz is standing in celebration victorious with both Title belts, whoever wins the MITB match at WM should challenge him for both belts. WM would be EPIC.
