Gee Inferno, dont go giving me nightmares.... its bad enough that Cena went over HBK!

I think if Takers streak is ever broken it would have to be at the hands of a new up and comer.... Orton may have been that a few years ago but hasnt quite went on with it... but some new would be the best bet to give them a huge push... that being said I cant really see it happening.

I was hoping for streak vs streak.. Edge vs Taker..... but no more...

Wow, some of the responses in this thread are ridiculous.

First of all, Undertaker has never really been "The Man" in the WWE. He has a big, loyal fan base. Vince knows he can throw the belt on him when he needs it, or when the belt needs its credibility restored. But, Undertaker has never really been the companies biggest draw.

Secondly, wrestling is all about passing the torch. If guys never put other guys over, we'd be sitting around talking about missing Bruno Sammartino, Andre the Giant, Super Star Billy Graham ect...

I will personally lose a ton of respect for Undertaker if he retires without going down at a Wrestlemania. The torch needs passed at some point. Because wrestling isn't legitimate, records need to end, old stars need to fade away in order for the new ones to shine brightly.

Well, I agree with the man who wrote that Undertaker should lose a match at WrestleMania and then retire. You surely show you are a clever and practical individual, knowing a thing or two about wrestling unlike 99% of the wrestling fans, even in this forum... I think The Undertaker will job to John Cena next year by submission in the STFU (as someone else stated above), but it wouldn't be as pathetic as idiot anti-cena's say. John Cena has beaten HHH, HBK, Kurt Angle, Booker T, The Big Show, Chris Benoit, Eddie Guerrero, JBL, Edge, Kane... And the list goes on and on... Whether you like him or not (well, what's not to like but... anyway!...) he is a legend in the making and a surefire future hall-of-famer! Can't you see that he is carrying the burden for the entire company right now? Cena's stardom is why WWE is still alive whether you can see it or not and whether you understand anything or not besides booing the man that will take the business to the next level. When Hulk Hogan came to the WWE from AWA, he was the reason WWE became the major wrestling promotion at the time. That's somehow (well, not at this volume) happening today with Cen'. The top stars have been: Bruno Sanmartino - then - Hogan - then - Michaels - then - Austin and now Cena runs the show. And the good thing about the reigning WWE Champion is that he is no "bully" backstage like Batista who is a self-centered and arrogant individual. Cena is a nice guy backstage, and is so passionate for the WWE and deserves the leadership of the business. I made all this introduction to say that if you see 'Taker tap out to the STFU next year, don't boo John Cena, but cheer for him, because he deserves it and because one day, when he retires to "part-time" wrestling, you will all be shouting his name, so start doing that now!

^WHAT?!? Are you serious? CHEER CENA? I'll respond to that with an emphatic NO. Undertaker tapping out to the STFU (a lousy version of a famous maneuver) would be one of the single dumbest things booked since Benoit tapped out to it. There are certain things you do and don't do to a franchise character the company has spent 17 years developing. Having Taker tap out to Cena is in the top three. Cena is a legend in Vince's mind, however if Cena is so damn great, then why the hell did everyone cheer for "burnout" Michaels and not Cena during their program? Because no matter how much they book Cena to win, he can't get the job done like his predecessors could and the WWE is too damn stupid to realize it. Cena's "stardom" is a fallacy. It's a product of the WWE marketing machine ramming him down everyone's throat until they just give up and start liking him. I still remember when he won his first World strap and no one gave a $hit. Business as a whole is HALF of what it was ratings/money/attendance-wise with guys like Cena, Batista, and Lashley jocking the top spots. I'm still shocked you'd have the audacity to place Cena in a class with Bruno, Hogan, Austin, and Michaels. Those guys could actually control the crowd and were liked. Cena's last two years have been the biggest failure of a face character in recent memory. They had to switch booking programs and shuffle talent around because he was outpopped by the guys the crowd was supposed to hate. He's also partaken in two pathetic main events at the previous two Wrestlemanias, and don't get me started on the other supposed main events he was supposed to be involved in at numerous PPVs. John boy might be gold on the mic, but he's a lousy, lousy wrestler who could use a year working on the basics at the nearest school. I will NEVER shout his name, unless it's preceded and followed by a laundry list of swear words and curses. This year's Wrestlemania main event was built around another booking backfire reminiscent of his programs with Angle and Christian. This time they were dumb enough to take it to Detroit.

The Undertaker has put tonssss of guys over just not at WM. He hasn't had that many belt reigns either. The streak is the Undertaker's dynasty and it should never be broken out of the respect to him for everything he has done since hes been in the WWE.

1. Batista is a bad champion becuase he is a magnificently terrible wrestler (way worse than cena, at least cena can actually EXECUTE the three moves that he has, batista botches his three moves regularly)...Batista dodnt do anything to deserve this push becides take some roids and get huge...he is a modern day ultimate warrior, except worse charisma, which batista has basically none...and absolutely terrible mic skills, with his contrived weak one liners that are supposed to make him look like some type of badass....that and from what has been written he has a very bad attitude backstage and could care less about the buisness, and is just generally seen as a douche bag overall lol...1a. If the undertaker were to tap to cena's STFU that would make me, after 16 years, just straight up stop watching wresteling..it would be ruined forever, it would be such a gigantic farse and disrespect...godd think taker would never go through with it....I like how the cena fan boy posted how cena has "beat" all these great guys like its supposed to make us respect him...um dude, im not sure if you know this but match results are pre determined lol..cena was booked to beat all those guys and it is downright shamefull....all the great guys who have fallen in the wake of the unstoppable legend john cena....its gotten to a point were it doesnt even make me mad anymore, i expect it and just look forward to the rest of the ppv cards, becuase cena is gonna win even if they brought out a time machine and put him in a gauntlet match with andre the giant hulk hogan mr perfect and bret hart lol...he would prolly make them all tap out too.....undertakers streak should never end, they should build up a wrestlemania match to be his last match ever, he should win (be it 16-0 17-0 whatever it is at the time) and then walk out the phenom that he is....

If you truly want to make a statement start writing wwe letters, emails complaining about cena, batista, lashley and all the other losers that are insulting your intelligence as fans every week. Get them removed or moved down to mid-card or lower where they belong. Stop cheering for them like a moron when you go to the events...

I'd have to agree here. If everyone is going to complain and not do anything about it, then we may be in for 3 more years of Cena as WWE champ. Im not saying I have any bright ideas of what to do..but Im sure theres gotta be something. maybe...And anyways,IF Cena drops the title, he'll just end up regaining it shortly after losing the damn thing. McMahon needs to get Cenas dick out of his ass and realize Cena needs to lose for a change...or maybe die or some shit. Who knows..MAYBE at Backlash Cena will finally lose the damn title?
