Top ten most TALENTED wrestlers in WWE

Prax

I used to be a big deal
Who do you think has the most talent in the WWE right now?

In no particular order...

HBK - One of the best wrestlers of all time, amazing what he could do in his prime, and even now, after taking four years off due to his back.

Triple H - The best all around guy in WWE of the last 5 years. In terms of talent, a bigger guy who can still pace himself in a match and do some great things.

CM Punk - Great moveset and still in the early stages of his career. Nowhere to go but up in terms of ring capabilities.

William Regal - Possibly one of the most talented wrestlers of all time in his prime, and certainly one of the most underrated wrestlers of all time.

Elijah Burke - See CM Punk. Very athletic.

Edge - Arguably #1 on this list.

Kennedy - Could be top of the list after his inevitable high profile feuds with Triple H and eventually Edge.

MVP -
Has improved tremendously over the past six months, and is also on his way up this list. Another athletic guy.

Umaga - yeah I just put him on his list. Just because you might dislike his gimmick you can't deny his talent or what he can do in the ring.

Finlay - An odd choice, I know, but he wrestles a slower, more old school style. it's just different, but he's still very talented and fairly athletic. That is proven by his age.

What's your list?

**WARNING: DON'T JUST LIST, GIVE REASONS. THIS IS YOUR ONLY WARNING AND YOU WILL BE GIVEN AN INFRACTION OR POSSIBLY A ONE WEEK BAN IF YOU DON'T GIVE REASONS**

(Note: This thread will be moved to the spam zone if people put any lists in.)

**This list is compiled of people that are currently wrestling in the WWE. (i.e ones that aren't injured.)

1. Edge. No doubt in my mind that he is the most talented wrestler in the WWE right now. It's safe to say that we can class him as a veteran, because he's got experience and a hell of a lot of it. His matches are always entertaining because the crowd is always vocal for him. I think if you watch some of the stuff back in the 2000's, you'll see that he does have a huge moveset, but works awesomely as a face. Don't let this coward crap blind you from seeing just how good a wrestler this guy is.

2. CM Punk. Watch his indy stuff. That's all I can say. This guy is unbelievable, and it's no doubt in my mind that he deserves a high spot on this list. He's fast paced and has a style that every fan will love.

3. King Booker. Don't doubt this guy's ability for one second. He's got all the talent in the world (especially when compared with other guys around him) and I loved him when he was a face because he could put on a lot of great, 15 minute matches, and is always one to entertain. I just wish he'd drop the King gimmick though, because that seems to have hindered his abilities a little, but he still gets #3 in my eyes, because he's experienced.

4. William Regal. No one should take this guy lightly or underestimate him, because he is a great technical worker, even on a bad day. Yes, his body is wearing out on him, but his talent in comparison with his age and injury-prone body, is very good. Again, look at some of the stuff he's done many years ago (in WCW especially, as David Regal.)

5. Randy Orton. This guy is brilliant in the ring, and while he can be sloppy at times, his great matches outweigh his crap ones. He is a great heel as well, so that adds to his all-round talent.

6. MVP. He has improved DRAMATICALLY since he came in, in my eyes. I didn't hold much hope for him, but he proved me wrong and is the standout in the midcard division. He has a growing moveset, and seems to put on entertaining matches every week. Hell, he even took it up to guys like Benoit.

7. Elijah Burke. A great young talent that is really making waves with the IWC. He has a great style of wrestling and is only going to get better.

8. Johnny Nitro. Say what you will, but this guy is young, and is improving. We just haven't seen enough of him yet, but he had a great tag team run and was decent in the ring. He just needs to develop his moveset, but there's no denying that he has had a few entertaining matches.

9. Umaga. Yes, like Prax, I am forced to put this guy in. But I think his abilities can be underrated at times, as he has put on more than a few entertaining matches that we don't give him credit for, and is great for his size when you think about it.

10. Carlito. I'm not sold on this guy at all, but in amongst his snore-fests of matches that he puts on, there are a few ones that stand out as being somewhat decent. He can work the mic, so that does add to his talent. And when you compare him with other mid card 'talent', he's clearly the better. He has got a decent moveset, but he damn sure needs to improve and bring back the entertainment he used to have.

Tag Teams

(I'll rank all the tag teams in order of ability.)

1. The World's Greatest Tag Team. Haas and Benjamin (in particular, the latter) can't be forgotten. They are a great technical team and deserve this number one spot, because I think their abilities eclipse any other tag team in the WWE right now. There's especially no denying Benjamin's amazing talent, and we need more of this team.

2. London and Kendrick. I don't really see much of the fuss in this team. Yes, they are fast paced, but they aren't as fast as they used to be. Being able to perform quickly doesn't count for much, but they do back it up by having a very entertaining style, so they are second because of that. They have molded well as a tag team as well, so that's another point for them. I will give them the fact that they are the best cruiserweights in the WWE right now as well, so the tag team makes sense.

3. Cade & Murdoch. These are old-school guys that I just can't help but like. They look to be a young, talented team, and should be right in the mix in this list.

4. The Hardys. Much better as a tag team than they both are at singles wrestling, that's for sure. But every Hardy tag match just seems to be a duplicate of the last, and I do think they are overrated. They are over, so they get 4 on my list.

5. Deuce and Domino. Young, and green, but that's the way the tag division is these days. They are developing and impressing me occasonally though, and I think because they are improving, they get to be #5.

6. The Majors. These guys are young but in the matches I have seen them in, they are impressive. Look out for them on SmackDown because I think a push is coming for them.

7. Cryme Tyme. We are into the dregs now I think. These guys have not had one shred of improvement (and even talent) since they came into the WWE. Their gimmick has also gotten really lame already. They have maybe had 1 or 2 good matches, but I can't recall many.

8. Lastly, the Highlanders. They aren't all that bad, but I just find them incessantly boring. They are the resident jobbers on Heat, and that's because a. no one likes them, and b. they don't have talent.

10. Edge - He's a good in ring technician but the Character development as a heel is kind of boring. They should make him a face as he plays that better.

9. Shelton Benjamin - An excellent wrestler but falls flat on mic skills.

8. Paul London - Another good ring technician but needs to slow down his matches and tell a good story.

7. John Cena - An all around good performer but could use a personality enhancement like be more agressive and assertive when building up matches.

6. Ric Flair - The man is a legend! But over the last couple of years has been demoted to jobber for younger talent and his in ring has gotten a tad shoddy because of it.

5. Ken Kennedy - This man has proved he deserves to be in my top 5 but at the bottom because he has a tendency to get hurt when they start giving him a push. He's a excellent technician and is one of the few newer superstars to get a decent gimmick.

4. Randy Orton - The man is built on athleticism. He moves flawlessly and precise Overall a very smooth in ring performer. A true talent that has recently been under a microscope for his backstage behavior. Once he gets that in check. The world is his.

3. Shawn Michaels - Who knew that he could return after 4 years away and go straight to the top tier again? I am just in awe of this man's choice to stand up for what he believes in personally in a company where corruption and deception run rampant and still retain his top spot.

2. Triple H - This guy is the epitome of what a sports entertainment figure should be. Excellent in the ring and on the mic. Only one does it better.....

1. Undertaker - He isn't called the phenom for nothing! Mark could play any character given to him. He is the best both in the ring and out.

Honorable Mention
Shane McMahon - This guy is as extreme as you can get and I personally would like to see a TLC match between him and Jeff Hardy.

1. Edge- he is the best wrestler in the WWE these days and his spear is killer and he can make you hate him beyond repair, which a good heel does

2. RKO - has one of the best finishers in teh WWE right now and is the best heel on smackdown

3. MVP - i think i mighta been the only one who liked him when he first came in, and his recent improvment has really made him move up on this list

4. Trips - Hands down good finisher and an excelent heel and face

5. Cena - i kno im going to catch a lot of crap for this one but come on he has to get some love people, his entrance gets you pumped and he is the most popular guy out there

6. Bobby Lashley - anyone that says this guy cant wrestle just doestn like power moves, becuase he maybe cant wrestle finaly style or regal style but lashley does the power moves flawlessly, and the crowd pops for him

7 and 8 tie: Finaly and Regal - for the same reason somtimes you love to see the old school slow it down technical wrestling

9 and 10: CM Punk and Burk - Because somtimes you dont want to see the old farts going slow in the ring and you want to see the new face of wrestling, imo these guys have the new move set, in 15 years everyone will copy these two.

No order.

Edge He's great in the ring and the mic, he can get alot of heat during promos, he's just an all around good wrestler. He's one of the best in the ring right now.

Triple H He's a great heel. He is an amazing wrestler and has been great for awhile now. One of the best around today.

Kennedy He's improved so much since coming in. He's really getting better in the ring and is arguably the best on the mic in WWE today.

MVP He's also really improved. His in ring skills have just soared since coming into the WWE. He's still getting better to. At first I didn't think he'd be that much but now I really think he'll be big.

HBK He's always been good. He's one of the best of all time and can still wrestle really good. Just a great wrestler.

Randy Orton He's amazing in the ring. He's also a great heel which really helps him. He's just a really great wrestler and always seems to have good matches.

Booker T He's a great wrestler. He's great in the ring and has amazing mic skills. I really don't like his King gimmick but he still is great.

William Regal Underrated. He's a great technical wrestler. He puts on good matches all the time. I really think he should be a main eventer. He's always impressed me.

Elijah Burke He's been really good since he came into WWE. I've really been impressed with his in ring skills and he will improve even more.

CM Punk He's also been great since coming in WWE. He was great doing indy stuff to. He has a great moveset and like Burke, will continue to get better and be something big in WWE.

1. Edge- he is the best wrestler in the WWE these days and his spear is killer and he can make you hate him beyond repair, which a good heel does

Ok I do agree with most of this list, except Randy Orton. For 1, he is RAW, not SMACKDOWN. 2 I don't think he has a great finisher. Yes, it can look very effective when done properly, but i have seen several botched RKOs in the past where he still gets the pinfall victory. He either needs to do the move right, or get a different finisher

I don't think he botches the RKO. To me it looks like the person who is recieving it sells it terribly. For an ex. Ric Flair

1.Edge - It would't suprise me one bit if edge has atleast 7 world title reigns when his career is over

2.Randy Orton - If it wasn't for his behavior outside of the ring, he could be a 3 Time world heavyweight champion right now instead of Boretista.

3.Carlito - For as big as he is, he can pull off some very impressive high flying moves. I seem him being the IC champion with in the next couple of months.

4. MVP - Even though his ring attire looks like gay under armor, this guy is getting better in the ring and is getting more popular every week.

5.Shelton Benjamin - I would put him infront from Carlito and MVP but I've seen him botched a few moves every so often, but other than that, he is one of the best in the ring right now. If he can improve his mic skills than I see a push coming in the future.

6.Triple H - He is so old school but yet he is so good. The best spine buster in the wwe.

7.Finlay - see triple H

8. CM Punk - He has an incredible moveset and I'm not ashamed to say that he is going to be the one carrying ECW very soon.

9. Shawn Micheals - Even though you can tell he is past his prime, he can still put on very good matches.

10. Mr Kennedy - This guy has the whole package. He has undeniable mic skills and knows how to entertain the crowd. The reason why he is isn't higher on my list is because he has been injury proned as of late.

1.Shawn Michaels- Well first off this guy is my hero.He just blew all tag teams away with the Rockers showing more high risk tag team moves. In his prime no one could beat this guy.He just kept going. He made some of the most memorable matches and despite his bullshit politicking he gave us great title reigns. This guy is way past his prime and just consistantly gives a good performance. He is amazing on the mic and cuts great promos. He is definetly the best.

2.Edge-I never saw this guy going far in the business but I always like him.But I was proved wrong. He has given us amazing matches and is the best heel in the WWE today. He is great on the mic and the ring.

3.Triple H-For a guy his size he is an amazing wrestler and his given us some great rivalries and great matches. He is also great in the ring despite some of his bullshit backstage.

4.MVP-This guy in the past 8 months has amazed me with how much in-ring knowledge he has garnered and the matches he has put on.Amazing talent.

5.CM Punk-He is an amazing athlete and is a great wrestler. He will one day reach the top without a doubt.

6.Umaga-I agree with Prax. His gimmick may be dumb but for a guy this size his speed and agility amazes me.Definetly deserves some attention.

7.Randy Orton-A third generation superstar and he can wrestle. He has showed some good matches and is a great heel and he can reach the top once again if he would stop fucking up outside the ring.

8.Mr.Kennedy-He has showed that he belongs in the spotlight. His mic skills are above anyone elses and has in ring talent. He is definetly the next big thing.

9.William Regal-He is the best or one of the best pure wrestlers in the WWE as of today.Given us some good matches.

10.Booker T-He has been in the business a while and has accumulated 30+ titles.Amazing in ring skills and is just great.

Undertaker should be in here but I decided to put these ten instead.

Talented...in the ring or overall(mic skills, charisma, ring skills)?? maybe you want to adjust the term Prax. :)

Maybe i'm wrong, but i noticed that some people went for some of their
FAVORITES wrestlers on the lists, so i would try to stay impartial on mine.

Also, with no particular order...

-Booker: If you think in some of the most dominant wrestlers of the late years of WCW, Booker T comes into my mind at first, 5 times WCW champ, WHC champ, he is in amazing shape and his move set is one of the most athletic for guys of his size. Mic skills? Pffftt, not anybody can come up with two different gimicks and get the top spot.

-Randy Orton: Great performer, no matter if is just a silly angle (the guy can be funny sometimes!!) or a great match, Orton is simply one of the best talents right now. He has the body, the skills, and he was WHC once. Great resume, great future. The next Triple H in terms of tweeners IMO...

-Edge: World Heavyweight Champion means anything?? He is way O.V.E.R. with the crowd (sometimes its louder than Cena, FACT) and The "Rated R" product is changing the way wrestling is seen Woldwide; not always the good guys are the best,(Sorry Dead-Air Dave :) ) He is NOT a good guy, he is the TOP heel on WWE and he is the WH CHAMP, Period.

-Shawn Michaels: What can i say about him.. Mr. Wrestlemania, The Showstopper...The nicknames aren't for nothing. I cant remember another Wrestler with SO many classic matches in his back. Just a VERY talented guy can do that.

-Triple H: He is THE GAME. Enough said. Want more? He doesn't need to win 3 fucking Wrestlemania Matches in a row to be on the Top of the Food chain. Hell, he could have 2 John Cenas for breakfast and win another World Title before noon. Yes, he's that good.

-LonDrick(Paul London & Brian Kendrick)ok, I had to put these two in one spot, because they deserve it. The fact that they dont talk AT ALL(Ashely was in charge of that...) and both are kind of midgets in the eyes of Vince, doesnt change that they were WWE champs for almost a year. Brilliant execution of spots, they dont need to pace down the matches(that would kill them..). Shawn Michaels must be damn proud.

-Mickie James: WHAT!!?? Yeah, and I hope Echelon could read this, he couldn't be more agreed. Ok, Candice is the champ now (not so talented, HOT, but no so talented...)and if you see the division, who else could give a good solid match?? Torrie? Michelle McCool? wrong, wrong... Altough Melina is a fair performer, she is not as intense as Mickie on the ring. I'm totally agree to see Maria, Marysse, and even Extreme SEXpose from time to time, but if i want to see a good womens match, i would look for a Mickie james one. I heard Jillian is well trained, but he is a total bitch and frankly, her matches
are boring as hell, doesnt matter if she is a heel and have to lose everytime, are still boring. And Victoria is good, but Mickie is better, and hotter!LOL! :D

-Mr. Kennedy: JBL said it well: He is the fastest Rising Superstar in the biz, considered by many as the next Stone Cold or the next Rock, and im sure he will be great,(dont know how great though) but RIGHT NOW, he has everything he need: Good ring skills, maybe he needs a new finisher (see: "Who needs a new finisher" Thread) but as somebody post it before, I enjoy to watch Mr. Kennedy, EVEN if he is injured, the man is a people magnet, he has a charisma the size of his mouth, and he got lucky last year, when creative decided to book him against Undertaker, for me, that was the defining moment of Kennedy's rise to stardom.

-Jonny Nitro: I dont care if he was a jabroni last month, Nitro has an extensive history of good matches as a member of MNM and in singles as IC champ. His feud with Jeff Hardy was one of the best of the second half of 2006 IMO. He got stucked for a little jobbing to Cena for a few matches, then he was sent to HEAT, but i saw that as a result of his relationship with Melina. Now, with her out of the picture, he can focus on his belt, and nothing else. Great finisher he has, a Spinning Neckbreaker, dont know the official name. Nitro fans: expect good things from him!!

The Undertaker: Ahh, the good ol' Deadman, Undertaker is like the wines: He get better through the ages, i mean: Who else with 40+ (he's 42) can do a Old School without looking ridiculous? LOL! not, seriously, The undertaker is by far, the biggest star on the history of the WWE, more than the fucking Rock and more than Austin; nobody and mark my words: NOBODY is going to have a 15-0 Wrestlemania record (could be 16-0 if he wants) even that monkey shit of Cena who needs some big stars to put him over (Last 3 WM anyone?)
The Undertaker is the most talented big guy who ever stepped a ring in the WWE/F history, and his backstage leadership can speak for that, nobody is as respected as him, why? Talented GREAT wrestlers doesnt need fluke movies :D to be a the top of the company. He Is like Triple H, but lucky for taker, he got in first.

honorific Mentions: CM Punk(Future WWE champ), Umaga(i wonder if he can make it without the Gimmick), Finlay and Elijah Burke (future WHC) IMO.

11. Gregory Helms - I added 11 people since hes on the injured list for a while. Ever see those old WcW matches with billy kidman and the sort. He can wrestle and possibly save the WWE cruiserweight division.

10. Charlie Hass - They hold him back to much, should be a singles
competitor on smackdown in the US title hunt

9. Carlito - highly talented, but also lazy as sin, he needs to get into gear if he dont want to wind up unemployed

8. Kane - takes spots well, sells like a pro, he just needs to grow his hair back

7. Kevin Thorn - he will be a main eventer since hes so big, but he carries himself well despite wrestling smaller guys.

6. Finlay - look for tapes from the 80s, you'll see why he should get more TV time (he would embarass anyone on that roster in a real wrestling match or a fist fight)

5. William Regal - See Finlay

4. Mr Kennedy - no one, aside from the older guys like HBK and HHH, have mic skills and wrestling skills. plus hes a bleeder

3. Mickey James - thats right a girl, that could prob out wrestle batista and john cena at the same time, plus shes hot which never hurts

2. CM Punk - hes the new RVD, he'll be over till the end of time

1. London and Kendrick - reference Ring of Honor, WWE dosent let them do ANYTHING they used to.

Narrowing this list down to 10 was difficult because there are around 15 guys that are extremely talented. You also have to keep in my that these guys are not allowed to utilize their entire moveset, so judging soley on WWE performance is impossible.

Here are my picks in no particular order.

CM Punk - Incredible athlete who uses unique moves; amazing intensity

Mr. Kennedy - Charisma, charsima, charisma. He is absolutely amazing on the mic and is very sound in the ring. Has the in ring psychology of old school heels like Jake Roberts and Raven.

Edge - One of the best heels in any promotion. Period. He is the total package.

Shelton Benjamin - It is a sin that he is being held back as much as he is. Probably the best pure athlete in the WWE.

London & Kendrick - Not your typical WWE stars. Small and quick and unbelievably talented. These guys are in desperate need of competition on their level. A Londrick vs. WGTT fued, please?

MVP - He gets better and better every week. It is obvious he is a student of the business as he comes away with something new from every match.

Jeff Hardy - Not the spot monkey some of you guys make him out to be. This guy is as extreme as you get in the WWE. Innovative and highly entertaining. One of the few guys that will ALWAYS keep my attention for an entire match.

Johnny Nitro - Finally Nitro gets a test run in the main event scene. I think he will come out just fine. Athletic as hell and has showed some innovative moves over the past few months.

Ball Mahoney - Yep. You read that correctly. It is a damn shame that the WWE has turned him into nothing but a jobber. His passion for the business is unmatched (who else gets excited about going thru a flaming table?). Balls has put on 45 matches with RVD and did not disappoint. He actually has a very large moveset- reference his ECW stuff.

Randy Orton - If anyone was born to be a wrestler, it's this guy. He has the in ring ability, the looks, mic skills- you name it, he's got it.

Injuries have sidelined Gregory Helms, Shawn Michaels, HHH and Rey Mysterio but these guys are ultra talented as well.

William Regal: Obviously he's not half the wrestler he used to be. But he can still go. He frequently has decent matches. It's just a shame that most WWE fans shit on them.

Val Venis: Which wrestler is the one who has to wrestle all the worthless greenhorns on the road?

C.M. Punk: He hasn't had any of his ROH quality matches in WWE. Thna again he probably never will. But even with an adapted style he's better than most.

Shawn Michaels:
He has great matches even though his knees have been fucked for the best part of a year. Pretty much all of his matches of the year so far have been good.

John Cena: Maybe his wrestling suffers because of his schedule. I admire somebody who promotes WWE as much as he does and then wrestles as much as he does. He's nowhere near a great wrestler but he could be if he had more time to learn.

Edge: WWE's best all rounder.

Jamie Noble: WWE have the greatest wrestler going on there roster. And they dont even know it.

WGTT: Both great wrestlers. I personally think Haas is better. But if any make it (I dont think either will) it will be Benjamin.

Umaga: A talented big man. Despite the outdated gimmick and comedy manager. Give this guy a feud that's about him and not about billionaires or Cena. And see what he can do.

1. Edge: Without question, the single best wrestler on the roster today. In ten years, people are going to be talking about this guy like they talk about HBK today. His mic Skills are by far the best in the company, his moveset is insanely big. It's the piss poor booking of top heels in the WWE that limits this guy today, but despite this, he is still the best.

2. Finlay: I love old timers that are willing to stretch young guys. Finlay has done a damn good job the last two MITB matches. I'm hoping for an ECW run, and really hope he brings the most out in the young guys.

3. CM Punk: God, the matches in ROH are amazing. His move set has been very limited, but still he manages to shine. He is unbelievable in the ring, and he is super over.

4. Elijah Burke: I can't say enough good things about this guy. The martial arts background has worked wonders for his wrestling ability. He's pretty damn solid on the stick too, a lost art today in the WWE.

5. Carlito: His attitude is questionable, his desire is questionable, but there is no doubt in my mind, if he gets his shit straight, he is going to be a top player for years to come.

6. Randy Orton: Another one of these guys that feels since he is multiple generation, he should be on the top. Orton is in serious need of an attitude adjustment, and hopefully he has done this. This guy was white hot when he was with Evolution, but the WWE changed his character, and he changed his attitude.

7. Shelton Benjamin: The dumbest quote I've ever read by the WWE, well at least this year. They are afraid to push Benjamin, because he has so much talent, it doesn't look like he is trying. WTF??? So because a guy looks like he is half assing it, yet he looks better then 90% of the roster half-assing it, you're going to hold him back???

8. William Regal: My god, the matches this guy has done in his career. The man is so damn good in the ring it is scary. I could watch 10 hours of Regal matches and not get bored.

9. Umaga: I'm opening up to the big slug. I realized that his matches with Cena were just horrible, and I shouldn't blame Umaga for this. He moves really good for a big guy. I really enjoyed him more as Jamal though. I hope they drop the gimmick, and we'll see how well he does then.

10. MVP: Is there anyone that has a higher stock right now in the WWE. Chris Benoit's last gift to wrestling was bringing the best in MVP out. The Feud with Benoit really brought out all of that potential in MVP, and he's continued going with it in his feud with Flair. The Playmaker is just sick, the only thing left, drop the power ranger outfit.

1. Edge- I really believe that his mic skills plus in ring ability plus over-ness with the crowd is above and beyond anyone else in the industry as a total package. The man is a former 12 time tag team champion, 3 time world, 5 time intercontinental, and king of the ring, and money in the bank. He can hold the company as the number one guy on his brand without question.

2. Triple H- Hes going to go down as one of the best wrestlers of all time, probably top 3. His in ring skills have gotten rustier than they used to be, but that comes with age, and hes still able to tell a story in the ring almost as well, if not better, than the famed bret hart for that. 10 time world champ... hes the safety net to give the title to and know ppl will accept it.

3. Undertaker- In better shape and has more of a move selection now than he ever has.. he worked his ass off for this last run for the title, unfortunately it got cut short... but he was just as primed to be the number one guy as ive ever seen.

4. Mr. Kennedy- Now putting him at 4 may be pushing the limit, but the fact is, he came out two weeks a go and cut one of the best promos ive ever seen, and has the ability to turn the crowd 180 degrees when he feels the need. his feud with Taker was prolly the best of 06, and he was pretty much a rookie.

5. Shelton Benjamin- another questionable spot but i cant help but to watch his matches and think about how great he is at telling a story in the ring. His mannerisms, and move set, is pretty unmatches... as is his athletisicm... i believe that if WWE plays him the right way, he doesnt need good mic skills cause hes that good in the ring.

6. Umaga- He carried Cena through their last man standing match by taking all the big hits... hes so fast and high flying for a big ass dude... im all about him.

7. Johnny nitro- SO glad hes the ecw champion... i was upset they were gonna blow it with him cause man,m the guy knows what hes doing, im not too sure bout his mic skills yet, but his interviews on the website r funny and his gimmick is cool as hell.

8. MVP- the man looks good recently, cant believe kane beat him on smackdown this week, but he can wrestle, he can talk, and hes very believfable as the US champ.

9. Shawn Michaels- still has the ability to put on a good match when absolutely needed... but damn has he lost a lot... his promos suck, his edge is gone... and he has gone WAY overboard with the flair chops. Hes old, what can u do... but if ur in ring skills diminish with age... at least try to add some new game to the mic skills.

10. Im gonna agree with the rest of the board and put Punk and Burke at a tie.... they r learning the game together and u can tell they will both one day be the top guys in the WWE... theres a lot of potential forming now... and i cant wait to see

Looking at the roster getting a top 10 is kinda easy then again it is not. So heres my top in no order expect for number 1.

Edge-Here we have guy that is taking the wrestling world by hold and doing what he wants. his mic skills are way beyond what most in the WWE. He can pull a decent match anytime he is in the ring and his last two encounters with Batista he pulled a halfway match with him. The king of gimmick matches and he will go down as a great one that i being held back by the way WWE sees its heels.

Randy Orton-Here is guy that if he gets his act straight he can be one of the all-time greats. He has ok mic skills and he can work in the ring. He has the skills to be great if he gets his act together on a full time status.

MVP-This guy has been on a roll ever since he was taken under by Benoit. He has improved so much since his arrivial and he is begiining to work a mick quite well. In a few years we will see MVP as a World Champion

Finley- Those old time vets that can work a match blindfolded and tell a story. Enough said Finley great beyond words

CM Punk-This guy is really coming into his own though nothing will compare to his ROH days but he is still something special in WWE way of wrestling. A guy that will the face of WWE for years to come.

William Regal-Just look a Finley. Though he is older still a great wrestler.

Shelton Benjamin-Its a damn shame how WWE treats this guy. If anyone could use a great mouth peice its Benjamin. He has all the skill to be great and damn shame they have him tagging again.

Mr. Kennedy-Only fall back on this guy is that he is injury prone but beyond that he has great mic skill and can work a decent match. He is a furture world champion just like MVP.

Umaga-Here is a guy that did some halfway decent matchs with Cena and still did good work. The gimmick is the thing that helps him but you can hold back that he can work well in the ring for a guy his size.

Shawn Michaels-Even as old as HBK is he has put on quailty match after quailty match. Its a shame that a some young guys dont have the passion he does.

(1500 post :))

**Edited to keep up to date**

10. Triple H - Overrated IMO, he can't have a good match without a gimmick. He's far from the badass Triple H of 2000, but, he's still good enough to be in the top 10.

9. Batista - Highly underrated worker, consistently has solid matches, and improving on the mic.

8. Jeff Hardy - Has improved so much over the past 2 years. He finally knows how to work a match that isn't a spotfest.

7. Undertaker - Can still go with the best of them. He seems to be timeless.

6. MVP - Has the potential to be very good, and has some of the best mic skills around. He’s going to be one of the major players for the next 5 years or so.

5. Mickie James - Best women's wrestler by a mile. She's the most talented, most over, and most attractive.

4. Randy Orton - Plays the arrogant/cowardly heel very well, always good in the ring and solid on the mic.

3. Edge - Similar to Orton, however has better mic skills and is more charismatic.

2. Shawn Michaels - This guy can still out-perform most of the roster, when he wants to.

1. John Cena - The most underrated wrester in all of professional wrestling. I just don't understand the hate for this guy. He consistently puts on good matches, he's very good on the mic, he oozes charisma, he knows how to work a crowd, and he's undeniably the best draw in the WWE today. He will be carrying the WWE on his back for the next 10 years.

10. PAUL LONDON Say what you want about his attitude but his matches are the most entertaining matches i've seen in a while. He can do some amazing stuff in the ring.

9. GREGORY HELMS This guy could be one of the best in the buissness. He can do some technical stuff as well some nice spots. He has been in the buisness long enough at least to be a US/INC Champ.

8. KEVIN THORN He reminds me of a young Undertaker. He is a "dark" kind of character. If the Ministry would come back this guy would be a main eventer in a couple years. If he can get over with the fans and find a new finisher then he could be GRRRREAT!

7. BOBBY LASHLEY This guy really impresses me. He is so into his matches and is over with the fans. I would hope to see John Cena fued with him (both as faces for a while then Cena turns heel ( kinda like Cena vs HBK). I love the spear that he does.

6.HBK Just a pure legend. He puts the best matches he possibly could. He can do awesome spots too (Wrestlemania 20). He also can put people over better than just about any one in the WWE.

5.JEFF HARDY He puts it all on the line in every match he is in. Possibly the best "spot" wrestler in the WWE. He has most every fan on his side and if he could improve on his mic skills he could be at the top of the buissness.

4.EDGE He has improved the most out of anyone in the WWE over the last 5 years. I remember when he first debut and then a while later went with the Ministry, he was dominant when with them. I loved his Missle Dropkick!!!

3. KANE He can also put people over very well. He takes bumps very well. He can move for a big guy also ( I saw him do a Drop Kick in Wrestlemainia 22) He can also scare the s*** out of you.

2. UNDERTAKER His gimmick is the best ever. No one can put the fear of god into like the Undertaker. Everyone adores him and he is a no doubt sure fire HALL OF FAMER!!!! I dread the day he retires......

1. TRIPLE H Undertaker said it himself " The best in the buissness" and he is. He was is/was the best heel ever. I remember I hated him so much but RESPECTED him. No one can top his talent....................................

1. HBK. He is the best damn wrestler the cokmpany has ever seen and he can put on a great wrestling match whenever he wants. He is definantly past hes prime but is still one of the best superstars at the moment and should have beaten Cena for the title at WM because CENAS GAY!!

2.HHH. Great wrestler, great on the mich, great face and a great heel, HHH is all-round a great wrestler and is definantly 1 of WWES top guys.

3 & 4. Jeff Hardy & R.V.D- both good high-flyers can be Hardcore when they need 2 and can put on some great fast paced, action-packed matches.

5. CM Punk. A truckin awesome techinical wrestler with a big finisher (GTS) is already 1 of ECW's top guys and i belive will win the ECW title in the next couple of months.

6. Bobby Lashley. 1 of the biggest & strongest dudes in the WWE and could be on top of the WWE easily if he got a bit better on the mic.

7. The Undertaker. Can do any Gimmick he is asked to and for his age he is 1 damn fine wrestler.

8. Edge. Even though i dont like the guy he is a great competetor, a good heel & face.............would like to see him face again.

9. Johnny Nitro. Killer finisher. Took him 1 night to become ECW's top guy, can definantly see him goin places.

10. Paul London & Brian Kendrik. 2 awesome high flyers, should have more tag team matches on Raw and should beat Lance Cade & Trevor Murdoch for the tag team titlez

P.S JOHN CENA IS GAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
and Trevor Murdoch shouldnt be in the WWE hes shit.

I am seriously about to vomit all over myself that people find a Lashley match to be anything other then the absolute biggest fucking waste of time on the planet. I'd rather take a crap, or maybe play in oncoming traffic. Thats how terrible his matches are.

Here are my ten...

10: Paul London & Brian Kendrick - It's hard for me to rate one over the other because of how much I enjoy both of them, I've watched both of them from their early ROH days when we had the glorious Spanky to there latest reign with the titles. Two fantastic young athletes who can put on a good match at any given situation, at any time, in any environment. Their matches with Deuce & Domino really made me appreciate D & D more then I had previously. Two great wrestlers that honestly could be great in a mid-card division like IC or US title, however due to their size they'll probably stay in the Tag & Cruiserweight divisions.

9: M.V.P. - Another extremely talented young guy who really has a thirst and hunger for this business, not many wrestlers these days are willing to sit down and watch old tapes of the greats to learn from them. I can sense a bit of Ricky Steamboat in him, weird I know, but its there for some reason. Shocky said it perfectly for words, Chris Benoit's last gift to the world was the way he helped establish MVP as a main event wrestler. Its something I'll always remember, that atleast Benoit went out on top in terms of his wrestling matches, as his series with MVP was one of the sole reasons I would buy a WWE PPV, knowing that at the very least I'd get a good 10 to 20 minutes of great wrestling with these two. I have to disagree on the Playmaker though, gotta be the stupidest looking move in wrestling today and makes MVP just look weak.

8: Colt Cabana - Okay, not technically on the official WWE roster yet, but he will be soon since he was picked up and placed in OVW not long ago. Don't be surprised when he shows up on ECW in a few monthes. Fantastic wrestler who has put on his share of classic matches in a very short time. The hour long farewell match with CM Punk was like a smark's wet dream come true. And people...the music...is the shit.

7: Shawn Michaels - He has lost his touch in the last year unfortunately, but if this were 2005 I'd give him top honors. HBK overall however, IMO, is the greatest wrestler to ever enter a ring. No one has entertained me more, dropped my jaw, made me laugh, or get pissed off more then HBK. The man has a catalog of classic matches that rivals a hardcore Fanboys wrestling tape collection. If it wasn't for HBK, you can be sure that WCW would most likely have won the war. Shame he's a bit broken down these days, but wait til he returns from surgery, you never know with HBK, he can be on and off at the drop of a hat really.

6: Mr. Kennedy - I don't place Kennedy as high as others, but I still love him. I think he's a bit overrated in the ring by alot of people, but his mic skills are agreed, fabulous. Not to say he's bad in the ring, he's very good actually, but he's not a godsend like some people make him out to be. He's still fantastic though, and has burst into the main event scene in a fast way yet still a bit slow to build him up and assure that he wouldn't pull a Brock Lesnar. Fantastic wrestler.

5: Shelton Benjmain - Amazing. All I can truly say about this man. Fucking astounding. The best overall in ring wrestler to grace a WWE ring since HBK & Bret Hart debuted. I mean that 100% people. He's not exactly dynamite on the mic (neither was Bret or Benoit for that matter) but if he were in the main event scene, he'd do excellently. I mean, I honestly can't remember a bad match from this man or some time where I thought "He's not giving me 100% out there..". He's been absolutely buried by the WWE, but damnit if they would stop using WGTT as glorified jobbers, we could really get some gold out of this man.

4: CM Punk - The only reason he's above Shelton is because he has had more experience as a main event wrestler and has put on probably just as many great matches as Shelton has. His time in ROH was just astounding really, and he is one of the most over guys I've ever seen, proving my longtime feeling that if you had a punk rock gimmick, you'd be over instantly because of fan's equating it to that rebellious feeling like Austin had. No, Shannon Moore was not a punk gimmick. It was a very sad emo gimmick. Anyways, Punk is great, I've really digged his matches with Burke, and he's a main eventer for sure in the future.

3: Matt Hardy - This will probably piss off my fellow smarks, but Matt Hardy is fucking fantastic people. I don't understand how you can't love this man. I always respected him and thought of him as very good upper mid card status, until this year. 2006 has really been quite a year for Matt Hardy, his push on Smackdown has resulted in probably 5 fantastic matches. He's totally impressed me on Smackdown, and I think a run in the WHC title scene is deserved here.

2: Edge - I love Edge. I always have, since the first day he stepped into a WWF ring in 1998 with the Brood to his golden promos with Lita to his amazing matches, he's without a doubt a future Hall of Famer. The best part is, he's still very young and in the prime of his career and has quite a while left out there. He's going to be on top for YEARS to come. Amazing wrestler who is vastly underrated in regular matches. He's not just a good hardcore wrestler people. Remember his series of matches with Christian back in the fall of 2001? Amazing. That's what made me first notice Christian as being a top notch talent(honestly I was rooting for him as well probably just to piss off my huge Edgehead friend) but part of that IMO is because of Edge. He's the best thing on the mic these days with Kennedy very close, what else can I say?

1: Triple H - How can you not go with this man? I was never on the IWC back in his ridiculious title reigns in 2002-2005 but I've seen all of that period of his stuff, so I can't understand it when people say Triple H was hated on as much as Cena is these days. How can you hate on a legend like Hunter? How many 5 star classics has this man provided us with? In my opinion, the greatest heel in the history of the wrestling business. I used to be a huge Triple H mark back in the attitude era, but when he turned and started feuding with Rocky and Foley again, what could I say? The year of 2000 was the greatest heel performance of all time from Triple H, this man is just fabulous. He's not as good as he was back in the late 90s and early 00's, but he's still dynamite in the ring and easily deserves top spots here.

XFear, great list. I would just like to point out that all of the wrestlers XFear gave us, HHH is the biggest one stature-wise. No guys really over 6'5 or 280 lbs. No massive guys. No Undertakers, Kanes, Masters, Khalis, Umagas, etc.

The greatest lesson WWE can take from this, as well as classic guys like Flair, HBK, and Hart is to stop with the focus on the huge, roided-out bodybuilders, and actually push and focus on guys like Hardy, Benjamin, Punk, Nitro, etc. Need more proof, look at the longevity.

Definately prefer the smaller ones, though thats not to say at all that I don't like big men, I wanted to put Undertaker on there, but aside from his feud with Kennedy and his WM match, he really hasn't been exciting in years now IMO. After the novelty and nostalgia of him returning to old-school Taker wore off, it just got kinda boring. Kane is another guy who used to be great...until they took his mask off and he forever ceased being Kane. Since then, he has been...well crap. Utter crap, at all times, on high. But I tell you about big men, if Vader were in the WWE right now he'd be up in that last, same if a guy like Bam Bam wasn't dead.

And I love your sig dude, why is it that I don't see Henry Rollins and Lance Storm in the same place at the same time? Black Flag and Canadian wrestling go hand in hand...right?

ok what really gets me mad is this. ive been reading some of these and alot of people put shelton benjamin and they all say the same thing "hes not getting a real push because of terrible mic skills" this is true but unfair. all i have to say is LOOK AT BOBBY LASHLEY!!!!! a guy who cant wrestle outta a paper bag and shelton benjamin can put on a 5 star match drunk and blindfolded

as for my top 10

1. edgethis guy has it all. mic skills, talent, charisma, the look, great finisher. he is the best in the wwe right now.
2. hbk the guy made cena look good..dats enough to impress me. hes sooooo far past his prime, what is he like 41? he still puts on a great match no matter what. i love this guy.
3. triple h its all about the game ladies and gentlemen. triple h 10 time world champ, great face and heel, top 5 in mic skills, top 3 in in ring ability, hall of famer, what else do u want?
4. Elijah Burke god i love this guy. his mma and boxing are really paying off in his wwe career. his elijah express isnt dat great but when used correctly, one of my favorite finishers. just look wen he put sabu through that table around wrestlemania time. he has a crap load of potential
5. CM Punk any of u guyz watch that extremely incredible wrestling that people call ring of honor??? if u dnt just look up cm punk roh, greatest wrestling that youll ever see, tremendous upside to the straight edge superstar
6 AND 7. Regal and Finlay I love these guys. The european vets know how to work in that ring. When you want wrestlers to tell you a story in the ring, watch these guys in the ring. they know how to beat people up and thats what i love
8. Kennedy talk about upside..this is the fastest rising superstar in the wwe btu in a tight race because my #9 is the 2nd fastest btu anywayz back to kennedy. best mic skills in the game, knows how to work over an opponent and knows how to put on a good match. and the future wwe champion Misterrrrrrrrrrrrrr Kennedddyyyyyyyyyyyy..............Kennneedyyyyyyy
9. MVP what has it been 9 months? u.s champion, one of the most talented wrestlers in the wwe, good mic skills, great entrance, great look, and the only man that can pull off his ring attire, mvp is bred for sucesss.
10. Randy Orton next triple h if he gets a better attitude. If there werent any backstage problems, he wud be like 4 time world champ, 2time intercontinental and like 3 time tag champ.. this guy is talented, and has the look of a champion. I like RKO

1. Bobby Lashley: I know his promo ability isn't the greatest, but his youth, amateur wrestling ability, and power make for a pretty good package. Once he starts to feel more comfortable in front of a mic, "Black Brock" will be a draw for years to come.

2. Ken Kennedy: Mr. Kennedy gets better all the time, in terms of mic work and in-ring skills, and he is definetely over. If Vince can be convinced to tone down his Cena fixation, Kennedy can have a pretty good run with belt.

3. Edge: Edge ain't doing too bad for a guy who was one-half of WWE's answer to Bill and Ted. Excellent wrestler. Probably the best talker in the company right now. One of the best heat-getters in the business. A fixture of the company for years to come.

4. Eugene: Nick Dinsmore is one of the most talented wrestlers in the company. The gimmick has run its course. Let Dinsmore drop it and just let him wrestle. (I know, what an absurd idea.) Let him be himself and he can fill the hole Chris Benoit left.

5. Finlay: A throwback to the old days. When I heard he was coming back, I was apprehensive. WWE is known for botching things when it comes to established talent. But they have made all of the right moves when it comes to Finlay. Keep him the mid-card, push him, and let him teach the young guys a thing or two about how to work. Above average worker who has kept himself in pretty good condition, which is astounding considering his age and physical style. While I believe in giving the young guys a fair shake, it's good to have talented veterans like this, locker room leaders.

6. Matt Hardy: Someone please explain to me how Edge got saddled with Kane instead of being given a dream feud with Matt. Matt Hardy is one of those guys who really needs a push. Like Edge, pretty good worker. Not as good a talker, but can still cut a decent promo. Reforming the Hardys was a step back. It's time to let Matt stand on his own. Give him a program with Edge. Pretty please?

7. Randy Orton: The Hotel Room Killer. I've always hated him. Not because of what he does in the ring. I hate him because here is a guy who has probably more talent than most of the roster, a man who was given everything on a silver platter, and yet he insists on acting like some punk in high school. A Marine Corps deserter who ran home to Daddy when he got out of jail and was dishonorably discharged. Daddy called some friends and little Randy was given a developmental contract, despite never having wrestled a match or even trained. Since then, he has been involved in a string of embarrassing incidents. I say fire him, let him become TNA's headache. But his in-ring skill is tremendous. And no one can garner heat better than Orton. I dare someone to tell me different. These reasons, along with has considerable promo ability, justify his continued employment. For now.

8. Johnny Nitro: The only Tough Enough winner to garner a decent and sustained push. Nowinski didn't last long enough and Maven was buried after an initial push. Gotta suck going from being on Raw and banging Melina to being stuck on ECW and having to look at a shirtless Viscera. Johnny must have really gotten on Vince's bad side. People often talk about this guy or that guy being the next Shawn Michaels, but with Nitro, I believe it. He has skill and a good sense of psychology. All he needs is more time on the mic and little maturity and he can really become a player in the company.

9. CM Punk: Punk is the most talented guy in ECW, bar none. The only problem is that everyone knows he wouldn't be getting pushed this hard if the ECW roster wasn't so thin. It's Nitro Vince has his eye on. Punk is merely a means to the end. Still, with Punk's tremendous skill and considerable following, it's not a stretch to imagine him as a main eventer on Raw or Smackdown.

10. John Cena: Yeah, I know he will never be mistaken for Lou Thesz. But he puts on solid matches, has great mic skills, and can connect with the crowd better than 99% of the roster. Though I think he was much better as a heel. But he as long as he moves merchandise and draws crowds, no one complains.

4. Eugene: Nick Dinsmore is one of the most talented wrestlers in the company. The gimmick has run its course. Let Dinsmore drop it and just let him wrestle. (I know, what an absurd idea.) Let him be himself and he can fill the hole Chris Benoit left.

Good call on Eugene. It's hard for people to look past the gimmick. Albeit it's a gimmick that he does to perfection, I agree it's run it's course and it might be time for Dinsmore to try something different and show us his true talent. But great post, I didn't even think of that, Dinsmore DOES have a lot of talent, and how well he pulls off the Eugene gimmick actually helps that.

Since I am not really sure what "talented" means in this sense, I will put the ten guys I think are currently the best workers, and guys I think I have the potential to be.

The Slyfox Top 10

10. Triple H - For those who don't know me very well, you have no idea how hard it was for me to put Triple H in the Top 10 of best workers in WWE. But, objectively speaking (as I always try to do), Triple H is solid on the mic, and his matches always generate that big time feel. While I question his in-ring quality many times, there is no doubt about the fact that fans always go home entertained after a Triple H match.

9. Matt Hardy - This guy is simply a phenomenon. I have no idea why this guy is as mad over as he is, but no one can deny that when his music hits, the crowd erupts. He's not particularly good on the mic, his brother was the high spot man and the better looking man, and he's never had that memorable singles match. But the guy rarely fails to put on solid matches, entertains the crowd, and usually makes his opponent look good. He's a guy that I would like to see get a main-event push, just to see if he's for real.

8. Undertaker - While it was difficult for me to put an over-the-hill, way past his prime, part time worker on this list, I simply could not pass up the Undertaker. The Undertaker is the go-to man for other big man workers, especially the piss-poor ones like Henry, and can have very good matches with smaller workers as well. While athletically he's no where near what he used to be, the man can still go in the ring, and despite his no-selling gimmick, generally can make an opponent look good when he wants.

7. MVP - Saddled with one of the worst gimmicks (and outfits) in WWE history, MVP sure has turned rags to riches. He has done some phenomenal promo work, makes his opponent look like a million bucks, while still carrying some potent offensive work himself. While he has yet to reach his potential, MVP is already putting on very solid midcard matches, and seems to be a future main-eventer.

6. London and Kendrick - These two go together because their work has been together. This team single-handily carried the tag division of the WWE, and made at least one set of tag titles respectable. They are mad over, are enjoyable in the ring, and their matches generally deliver no matter who their opponents are. Not too mention these guys made their name in ROH, and if Slyfox is praising a team that came from ROH, you know they have to be good.

5. Edge - What can be said about Edge that hasn't already been said? Phenomenal on the microphone, versatile in the ring, and one of the best gimmick match workers of all time. While his singles match work generally falls in the average category, his gimmick match psychology is unparalleled in the WWE, and the guy is one of the few smark favorites that is good enough to get booed on a consistent basis.

4. Umaga - Umaga is what Indy wrestling fans wish Samoa Joe could be. He is just like Joe in that he is versatile, mobile, athletic with great offense, stiff looking strikes, and a dominant heel monster. Unlike Joe however, Umaga can get heel heat, plays his role well, sells well, and, when asked, can make his opponent look good (Lashley at WM for example). When people say that Joe shouldn't go to the WWE because they'd just turn him into another Umaga, I always think to myself, "well, that would probably be an improvement". And I actually like Samoa Joe. But, Umaga is a badass, a great worker with great psychology, and knows how to work a match.

3. Mickie James - Ahh, dear Mickie. Mickie James understands match psychology better than about 80% of the men on the WWE roster. She's solid on the stick, and her matches don't look sloppy like most of the WWE roster. Her match against Trish at Wrestlemania 22 is one of the greatest women's matches in WWE ever, and Mickie James is one of the few women who gets respected because of her in-ring work, not her (fabulous) body.

2. John Cena - Let the Slyfox bashing begin. That's right, John Cena is number 2 folks. Like him or not, no one can deny that John Cena brings it to the ring every night. No one can deny that he has put on numerous Match of the Year candidates over the last two years. No one can deny how memorable his feuds are. No one can deny that there is not a single wrestler that gets bigger pops than Cena. The fact of the matter is that John Cena is one of the best workers in the WWE today. His storytelling is on another level, his mic work is good, his promo ability is great, and his psychology is amazing. He's versatile in the ring, and can put on entertaining matches with big men and small men. He made Edge a true main-eventer finally after all those years of trying. There's a lot more I could say about John Cena, but just go to the Cena thread on WZ. I've said it all there numerous times.

1. Rey Mysterio - While I have never been a Rey Mysterio fan in the WWE, the guy is simply amazing. His psychology is phenomenal, his storytelling is superb, he is exciting to watch, and is one of the most over guys in the company. The man is 5'3" tall and was STILL the Smackdown champion, which should show just how great Mysterio really is. Now, there are things about him that I think are overrated, the fact is that you can never find a BAD Rey match, and most of them range from average to great. Factor in the fact that Rey has gone from a high flying, high risk style to a more ground based technical style and it shows just how versatile Rey is. Hell, the man got a great match out of Sabu at ONS 2 for Christ's sake. That should tell you just how amazing this man is. While it is hard for me to say it personally, Rey Mysterio barely beats out John Cena as the best worker in the WWE.

Honorable mentions:
William Regal, Fit Finlay - Great in-ring workers, know how to work a crowd, know how to get another guy over...just never given a consistent push and never developed quality enough mic skills to be put in the Top 10.

Guys with potential who just need seasoning and experience (in no particular order):
Bobby Lashley - Lashley has come a long way in a short time. If he continues to improve like he has, he'll be in the Top 5 of the WWE in no more than 5 years.

Randy Orton - Plagued by his own incompetencies, Orton is one of those special wrestlers who is ALWAYS going to be over with the crowd. His in-ring psychology is underrated and he usually does a great job working the crowd. If he can get his attitude straight, and desire to be the best in the business, he could get there one day.

Shelton Benjamin - Everyone knows the potential Benjamin has. The question is will he ever be able to rely on more than big spots to get over?

Johnny Nitro - Another worker who has come a long way in a short time. He makes a very good ECW champion, and in 5 years will be a major player in the WWE.

Chris Masters - One of the most underrated wrestlers in the IWC. Masters is solid on the stick, generates good heel heat, and while his in-ring work ranges from a 3.5-7 on a 10 scale, he definitely has show flashes of where he could be very good. One day, he could be a VERY good upper midcard wrestler.

CM Punk - While he has yet to do anything in the WWE worth a damn, no one can deny the potential Punk has, nor how over with the crowd he is. When he learns to properly work the WWE style and get seasoned with some quality workers, then CM Punk can easily be one of the top stars of the next generation.

Most overrated:
Ric Flair - While it is generally acknowledged that Flair is washed up these days, I think people still tend to overrate his ability. He was overrated in his prime, and is overrated now. His matches are just horrible now, completely lacking of any psychology, storytelling, or competent selling. The sooner Flair goes the better.

Shawn Michaels- The guy has shown up for about 3 matches in the last 2 years. Wrestlemania 21 vs. Angle, WM 23 vs. Cena and Raw match vs. Cena. Other than that, the guy has basically been sleepwalking through matches and feuds, and the one other feud he actually appeared somewhat interested in, he completely ruined by making an ass out of himself (vs. Hogan). Maybe it is just the breaking down of his body, and when he comes back he'll be better, but Shawn Michaels has been half-assing it for years now.

Carlito - I'm not even sure what Carlito has ever done to deserve being overrated. And yet, people think that he is one of the great wrestlers in the business today. No one can name a good Carlito match, and his mic skills are average at best.

Rob Van Dam - When he's not forgetting what psychology and storytelling is, he's using the exact same moves for the past ten years, and looks like he is trying to sell $100 hamburger at McDonalds. The guy is living on his spotfest ECW style reputation and has been for years. His mic skills are pretty piss poor for the most part, and he has the worst looking strikes in the WWE. Sure he can do some flips, but hey, so can a circus monkey.
