The WZCW Party

DirtyJosé

Best angle of all: retirement
Ty started this off in a different thread, but here's the proper home for it.

WZCW is a force to be reckoned with on these forums. Our voting power has been shown in the past with the WZCW Forums winning "Forums of the year" in last year's WZ Forum Awards. We are a large group of posters from different walks of life around here. After analyzing the fallout of Sly and KB's announcement, I'm prepared to help rally the troops behind our banner.

So I reach out to those of you who have not already found a party to call home. Or perhaps some of you will care to join your WZCW brothers. I beseech all of you to come help make our voices heard. United we have power. United we can make a difference. Current roster members and former members alike, come! Join the cause! Let us flex our voting muscle.

Most everyone in WZCW is in our party.

I'm well aware that many have chosen to shoot their wad already and pledge elsewhere. I can't blame them for having other motives, but I can't lie that it is my sincere wish that they may decide to rethink their positions and come to join us in representing WZCW as a whole. The point of this party isn't necessarily to "win it all", but to ensure that our voices are heard loud and clear through the end.

Not everyone. I'm in Dirty. I have been denying offers to join partys because I knew that someone will make a WZCW party.

Again, Ty put the declaration out there first, I'm just picking up after him and getting this ball rolling before it is too late. Regardless, I thank you for your support.

The reason we added that "Sponsored by WZCW" part into the name of the BDP is to let those of you who are passionate about WZCW know that you will be represented. One of the main focuses of the party is WZCW, so why would you make a separate party, knowing this?

Because I'd like to see the strength in our numbers without the influence of another party. I knew that this would possibly pull away members of other parties, but if a party is going to fly the WZCW flag, it should be a party by and for WZCW, and not merely pandering to it. As this goes on, we may find it in our interest to unite with others, and rest assured the BDP will not be forgotten as an early supporter of WZCW members. Long story short, it's still early in this whole thing and it seems it might be in the better interest of WZCW members to see themselves with their brothers before making alliances with others.

Now by default I should jump over from the Gamers Unite party.

I am only following your lead, Boss. For certain, a WZCW party without the WZCW Head of Creative would be on shaky ground.

That doesn't make any sense. In order to even get past this part of the election, you need the numbers. That's why a bunch of these parties have been merging in the past 24 hours. There's just no way these two ideas can influence each other considering the NWNS sections have nothing to do with WZCW, so what you're essentially doing is cutting off the support of a group of people with absolutely no gain for your cause.

If we just combined our parties, you'd have more people flat-out, and maybe a candidate who could advocate for both the NWNS and the WZCW sections.

Alright, Jose, we already sponsored the BDP. Just join us over there, I'm already apart of it and we can call it good.

I'm sorry if I don't feel a party mostly based in Video Gaming is where I'd like to give my support right now. The same can be said of Coco's Spam Zone based party. WZCW is where I'm most at home here more often than not, and if trying to unite each other before the entire roster is split among a handful of parties.

This is what I felt passionate enough about to stand behind. If it seems that the majority of the others feel differently about it, so be it. But do you guys lay claim to EVERY member on the roster? I think not. I know many to be outsiders from the usual cliques, and I hope that a party for them may interest them. Again, there's nothing saying that this won't just end up allying itself with another like-minded group. I think it's a little early to start with the "fuck you" stuffs.

Easy killers. We're all on the same page here. WZCW doesn't have a whole lot riding on this I'm not going to lie. That being said, and as I just said in the BPD thread, I know a number of people mentioning they wish there was a VG&T mod to help clean up a lot of the spam coming through there. Now that's not to say the BPD is strictly a VG&T party, the party can easily hold candidates for other sections as well, NOT just VG&T.

2. After a set period of time (likely one or two weeks, though that's not set in stone), the WrestleZone Forums Administrators will announce the trimming of political parties. The THREE parties with the most members will be the ones to survive this cut. Those members who formed other parties are then welcome to redistribute themselves into one of the three remaining parties. While I would never force campaign strategy upon anyone, it might also be advisable for the three biggest parties to cut some deals with the smaller parties in exchange for membership.

It's been like 3 days, people. I get where you are coming from with this, but also understand that there are others, like Ryder, who did not choose to join up with you. So instead of reacting so rashly and doing nothing but possibly offend, why not just take it in stride and see if this even makes it past a day or three? It's still a little bit away from trimming time, and the cooler hand to play may have been to just ride this out and see if maybe this drew others in who would likely have no problem merging our groups together in time.

I've never been more tempted to post a "head shake" smiley or facepalm before here. Seriously.

The names of these groups came from the first hour of the announcement when everyone wanted to start their own party with the own special interest. Since then, about 60% of these groups merged, and now we have

The David French Party: Spam Section advocates
The Birthday Party: Non-Wrestling Non-Spam Section advocates
The ABC Party: Non-Spam Wrestling Section advocates
The People's Party of Moderation: This guy just wants to be a mod, I don't even know

To my knowledge, every party that's not listed merged with either the DF or the ABC parties, because they didn't have enough numbers.

I'm telling you, your best bet is to merge with the Birthday Party, because, considering the people we have from the WZCW, we WILL elect someone who will represent you.

The Birthday Party isn't about video games (or just non-wrestling), I'm in it and I'm all about the wrestling sections.

Anyway, didn't Lee just change the name?

Uh.....does everyone forget....that we have NUMBERS and myself already representing WZCW?

Yes I did, before Jose posted this for that very reason.

I'm not saying you are wrong. I'm saying what the hell is with the hostile reaction if you know that the group is likely to merge with you if it can't get the numbers to stand on it's own? Don't you think maybe letting it be for a day or two and then discussing things over PM's may have been a better idea? At this point, I don't know what to think from you. You're in one thread talking about how it doesn't matter who gets picked and whatnot, and then you're here blowing up at me for starting a simple thread and seeing who was interested.

Merge with our party. I'm the exact opposite of an erratic hothead. I swear I'm on my meds!
