THanks for claryfing on the outside interefence I was wondering mainly in regards to wrestlers not in the tourney at all so that answers that.
I thought there was going to be less
First round, outside interference doesn't play a factor. Managers won't play a factor either, because they could be with another team.QUOTE]
2. The Outsiders (Scott Hall and Kevin Nash) vs. 21. the McMahons (Vince and Shane McMahon) Battle of the men who killed tag team divisions
Ultimatley the ones who kille dthem in the ring will win Outsiders
15. The Moondogs (Rex and King) vs. 18. The Iron Sheik and Nikolai Volkoff
Dogs were a joke while the shiek was a world champion. The Russiians run rings around the dog pound
7. Chief Jay Strongbow and Billy Whitewolfe vs. Degeneration-X (Triple H and X-Pac) I abstain DX are two singles wrestlers while the other a legitae team but never seen them and Whitewolfe was terrible in the few matches I have seen of him
10. The Spirit Squad vs. 23. The Big Show and Spike Dudley
Well before Shocky banned interfence in the first round I was going with the Squad as that was their MO but without it Show tells Spike to take a nap and he chokeslams the Squad to holy hell.

3. Money Inc. (The Million Dollar Man Ted DiBiase and I.R.S.) vs. 30. 3 Minute Warning (Rosey and Jamal)
Well the Samoans were never the brightest and have alwsays been mercenaries. Money and has dealt with bigger men before (Natural Disasters). Money can play a factpr here. Like i said 3 minute was a for hire team and never really cared about gold or winning so they could easily take a dive for money or even one partner could trn on the other.
Money Inc to win

14. The Bashams (Basham and the Damaja) vs. 19. The Headbangers (Mosh and Thrasher)
Neither team had much going for them but the Headbangers amused me more so they get my vote

6. Paul London and Brian Kendrick vs. 27. Power and Glory (Paul Roma and Hercules). P& G were tag team jobbers Kendrick and London are the best tag team in the last 5 years. They win

11. The World's Greatest Tag Team (Shelton Benjamin and Charlie Haas) vs. 22. Lance Cade and Trevor Murdoch
WGTT had all the skills to win just no charisma so they eneded up in tag team purgatory. Cade and Murdoch have the potential to be good in the future but right now they lose in a wreslting ,match

And thinking bout Money Inc made me think of another team form taht era who was a lot more deserving of a spot than The Mcmahons, Power and glory or the super final tema (unless it is Kaentai)
The Beverly Brothers aka Wayne Blom and Mike Enos. They actually held a tag title albeit in the AWA and were PWI rookie of the year(although so were David Sammartino,Madusa, and the Boogeyman)

Money Inc. vs 3 Minute Warning
Interesting matchup here, as stated before I can see 3 Minute Warning taking the payout in this match, if thats allowed that is. Even if its not allowed I still think that Money Inc are a good enough tag team to take this one out.

Winners: Money Inc

The Bashams vs The Headbangers
Meh does anyone really care about this matchup? Cos I sure s hell dont. Bashams never impressed me in WWE or their time in TNA. Handbangers well they werent much, but they wore skirts and were more entertaining.

Winner: The Headbangers.

Paul London and Brian Kendrick vs Power and Glory
Well I htink London and Kendrick are good, but beneficiaries of an absolute joke of a tag team division. That being said they definately have what it takes to send Power and Glory home early in this one.

Winners: Paul London and Brian Kendrick

The World's Greatest Tag Team vs Lance Cade and Trevor Murdoch

Wll have to admit im a big WGTT fan, pissed off that they have been buried by the WWE. Shelton is an amazing, who if given a manger could be big in the singles ranks imo, Haas is also a very gifted wrestler. As for Cade and Murdoch, well I like Cade and I very much dislike Murdoch. In the ECW arena and environment on wrestling ability the WGTT win this one.

Winner: WGTT

Round 2

Money Inc vs The Headbangers
London & Kendrick vs WGTT.

Money Inc. vs. 3 Minute Warning
In a regular match up, I think Money Inc would come away with the win. However, extreme rules play more towards Rosie and Jamal. I think there would be lots of tables and chairs used by 3 Minute Warning in this match.
Winner: 3 Minute Warning

Bashams vs. Headbangers
These are two less than mediocre teams. However, it could be an interesting match up if you throw in a barbed wire baseball.
Winner: Bashams

London & Kendrick vs. Power & Glory
I would give my left arm to have been able to see Londrick back in ECW. Those crazy bastards would be diving from the rafters. Hercules and Roma have no chance to keep up with these cats.
Winner: London & Kendrick

WGTT vs. Cade & Murdoch
The WGTT is the most underrated tag team I have ever seen and it is shameful that two gifted wrestlers such as Haas and Benjamin don't recieve the push they deserve. On the other side of the coin, Cade and Murdoch (who is the ugliest man alive) are mediocre at best and are pushed to the moon. In my world, this match is not close.
Winner: WGTT

ECW Region

Money Inc. vs. 3 Minute Warning
Everybody's got a price. 3 Minute Wa
rning were always known for being someone's henchmen. They lay down for Dibiase right off the bat and Money Inc. goes into the next match fresh.
Winners: Money Inc.

The Bashams vs. The Headbangers

Ah, battle of two jobber teams. Bashams problably have a little more skill then the Headbangers, but the Headbangers have accomplished a little more as a team (well they've been together longer). I never really liked the Bashams anyway, so I'm gonna vote headbangers regardless.
Winners: The headbangers.

Londrick vs. Power and Glory

This one's a no contest in my mind. I kinda like Paul Roma, but Londrick is still young and holds the 4th longest title reign in WWE history. They're only going to get better from here, and they've proven they can beat bigger teams. Londrick all the way.
Winners: London and Kendrick.

The World's Greatest Tag Team vs. Lance Cade and Trevor Murdoch

This one, for me, is tougher than it probably is for a lot of people. People these days don't like power wrestling or storytelling in the ring, they like spot monkeys and high flyers. I'm not saying that WGTT is a pair of spot monkeys, I'm certainly not saying that, but they're athleticism would certainly lead people to vote for them over Cade & Murdoch. Obviously Shelton and Charlie are better pure wrestlers than Cade & Murdoch, but are they a better overall team? I'm not sure. Cade & Murdoch are just starting out and just starting to gain momentum. I believe Cade has a tremendous future in WWE, has one of the best looks we've seen in a while and was trained by the best (as voted by all of you, might i add, a couple months ago), Shawn Michaels. Murdoch is the opposite of Cade in terms of looks but I really like his gimmick and I really like his work in the ring, it's different. Whereas I feel like WGTT has peaked as a team and possibly even as individual wrestlers if things keep going this way.

All this being said, I still have to admit WGTT's accomplishments speak for themselves, and that they are a good team. My point is that in two or three years, I think Cade & Murdoch will truly be looked at as something special, and in 2 or 3 years the results of this match could truly be different. Right now, WGTT wins this match, though, mostly due to experience. Just wanted to make sure people keep their minds open to Cade & Murdoch. As for the ECW factor, I would imagine Cade & Murdoch have the advantage in a hardcore environment.
Winners: WGTT

Potential Round 2 Matches:

Money Inc vs. The Headbangers (Everybody's got a price... I'm starting to think Money Inc. Could go far in this thing.)
L&K vs. WGTT (GREAT match if given the proper time).

Round 2 matches from WWE that I forgot to do:

Outsiders vs. Sheik & Volkoff (Interesting match, big guy battle here, could go either way when you think about it.)

D-X vs. Big Show & Spike (Triple H will stick Spike up Big Show's ass and go on to meet his Kliq friends int he finals.)

Money Inc. vs 3 Minute Warning
I think there's no contest in this match, Money Inc. for the win However it's extreme rules and that changes things slightly. But when were Money Inc. ever ones to follow the rules? Unlucky draw for Umaga and the SHIT but I'm going with Money Inc

Winners: Money Inc

The Bashams vs The Headbangers
The BAshams I find dull, Headbangers were crap. Under extreme rules I'm goign witht eh headbangers.

Winner: The Headbangers.

Paul London and Brian Kendrick vs Power and Glory
You don't have the 4th longest title reign for nothing...London and Kendrick get it here.

Winners: Paul London and Brian Kendrick

The World's Greatest Tag Team vs Lance Cade and Trevor Murdoch

I'll get shot for this one, but I find the worlds greatest tag team are clearly not the worlds greatest tag team, as individuals they are great wrestlers, but as a team the are underused. Cade and Murdoch have great potential in the future and are our current tag champs. It is for this reason I choose Cade and Murdoch

Winner: Cade and Murdoch

PS I'm on holiday for the week so I'm not going to be online until saturday

The Poll is now closed

Match 1.
4. The Brainbusters (Arn Anderson and Tully Blanchard) vs. 29. the Mega Powers (Macho Man Randy Savage and Hulk Hogan)

A team of Individuals Vs. a proper Tag Team, The Brainbusters win this one just based on the Tag Teaming Experience

Match 2:
13. Strike Force (Tito Santana and Rick Martel) vs. 20. Team Canada (Eric Young and Robert Roode)

Tough for me to choose on this one, While Strike force has a couple of good wrestlers in it I haven't seen enough of them to really say but I went with Team Canada due to the advantage of them having worked in the six sided Ring.

Match 3:
5. The Road Warriors (Hawk and Animal) vs. 28. The Natural Gang (One Man Gang and Butch Reed)

Hmm is there any reason to actually have this one. the Road Warriors are going to take this one fairly easily.

Match 4:
12. Ivan and Nikita Koloff vs. 21. Barry Windham and Dustin Rhodes

I went on Name value and their value as a Tag team in going with the Koloffs while Windham and Rhodes Combination is more successful in terms of Titles I give it to the Koloffs based on the era they came from actually producing Tag Teams that know how to pull off a good tag team match.

Money Inc. vs 3 Minute Warning
While I like 3 Minute Warning, they are no were near the league or caliber of wrestlers as Money Inc. I think even with Extreme rules, Money Inc takes this one rather easily.

The Bashams vs The Headbangers
Neither team ever has done anything to impress me. The Bashams I think are a little better then the Headbangers.

Paul London and Brian Kendrick vs Power and Glory

I certainly am no hardcore fan of London and Kendrick. They wouldn't have a near year long title reign in any other time. Londrick is the beneficiary of a piss poor WWE tag team division in my opinion. That being said, I still think they have enough to put down Power and Glory.

The World's Greatest Tag Team vs Lance Cade and Trevor Murdoch

I like Cade and Murdoch, but they have a long way to go still. I think if they were actually allowed to do what Edge wanted, and that is form a stable with Edge as the leader, they could improve exponentially.

The WGTT is just so damn good. I hate the WWE. They don't want to push Benjamin because they feel he is half assing it in the ring. Wonderful that a guy that half asses it looks better then 90 percent of the damn roster. WGTT win this rather easily.

Match 1.
4. The Brainbusters (Arn Anderson and Tully Blanchard) vs. 29. the Mega Powers (Macho Man Randy Savage and Hulk Hogan)
This one is going to piss me off like no other. I have a feeling how this one is going to go, and I'm telling ya, I won't like it. The Brainbusters are a tag team, if not one of the best tag teams ever made. Sure Hogan and Savage were great individuals, but they are shit as a tag team. One title reigns between the two of them, and that is thanks in part to Edge carrying Hogan's ass.

Plus, Hogan and Savage have, and always will, hate each other. They can't get along, and they are both selfish glory hogs. Hell, didn't the Mega powers have problems with The Twin Towers, Akeem and The Bossman? The Brainbusters should win this match easily.

Match 2:
13. Strike Force (Tito Santana and Rick Martel) vs. 20. Team Canada (Eric Young and Robert Roode)

I love Strike Force, I feel Santana and Martel match up better in an individual matchup with both Roode and Young. However, the six sided ring comes into play, and I feel Young is going to shine. Young and Roode in an upset.

Match 3:
5. The Road Warriors (Hawk and Animal) vs. 28. The Natural Gang (One Man Gang and Butch Reed)
No reason needed. I would be surprised if this is anything but a 100% ass kickin.

Match 4:
12. Ivan and Nikita Koloff vs. 21. Barry Windham and Dustin Rhodes

There both pretty damn good teams, but I feel the Russian Bear is going to be too much for either Windham or Rhodes to handle. Its tough, because I'm big on Windham and Rhodes, but Nikita is one big tough son of a bitch.

hey shockey what happen to giving detailed match results instead of just the nummbers because i liked that and it made me feel like i was there instead of just reading it

4. The Brainbusters (Arn Anderson and Tully Blanchard) vs. 29. The Mega Powers (Hulk Hogan and Macho Man Randy Savage)
I see what Shocky says about how this is likely to go but I have always had a loath for all things Savage and will vote aginst him in everything and in this case it is justified. Heck Arn Anderson was smacking around Hogan in WCW in his declininbg years and only losing bc of Hogans stroke.

13. Strike Force (Rick Martel and Tito Santana) vs. 20. Team Canada (Robert Roode and Eric Young)
I saw Team Canada and was thinking of the likes of Lance Strom and Jerichoi then realized this is NWA version and without IMO the best atheleter Petey Williams (who i dont understand why Roode and young are getting the push and he is relegated to jobber duty)

5. The Road Warriors (Hawk and Animal) vs. 28. The Natural Gang (Butch Reed and One Man Gang)
OH WHAT A BUM RUSH

12. Ivan and Nikita Koloff vs. 21. Dustin Rhodes and Barry Windham
USA versus Russia (although Im sure the Koloffs were probaly born and raised here )

Ok some interesting ,matches in the next lot. One in particular.

The Brainbusters vs the Mega Powers

Here it is, what would have to be the most controversial first round match up. The Brainbusters were are a great team, were as the Mega Powers were just 2 individuals. I think Hogan and Savage wanan take all the glory for themselves in this match, therefore they dont make many tags. Their hatred of each other is just too much.

Winners: The Brainbusters.

Strike Force vs Team Canada
I think in a few years time that Roode and Young might be able to get the win, but not today. The six sided ring might make this closer, but the Strike Force still get it done.

Winners: Strike Force

Road Warriors vs The Natural Gang.

Anything less than a 100% win for the Road Warriors will be extremely suprising and a bit disappointing.

Winners: Road Warriors

Ivan and Nikita Koloff vs. Dustin Rhodes and Barry Windham
2 good teams and a match I got the coin out and flipped. Landed on tails, so that means Dustin and Barry get through.

Winners: Dustin Rhodes vs Barry Windham

So far the votes have been to most of my agreement! For todays action I feel like Team Canada in a decent match, Road Warrriors easily but there opponents were tought indiuvuals. By any glory The first match will be a landslide for the tag team and not indivuals. Brainbusters all the way! The fourth match has a chance to be great. I feel like they match up good together but Ivan's experience will lead to victory.

Excuse me for being so late here, my internet connection was fried this weekend. Here's my predictions..

ECW Region Area 3

Money Inc. vs. 3 Minute Warning
Could this be any easier? DiBiase is still the best fuckin heel, ever, and probably the most deserving of a world title reign that he never got. Add in a good worker like Rotunda, you've got yourself a team easily capable of destroying Umaga & Rosey.
Winners: Money Inc.

The Bashams vs. The Headbangers
Two of the most overrated teams, possibly ever. Bashams...I have no idea what anyone sees in these guys. Everytime they wrestle, I go to sleep from boredom, they carry ZERO excitement with them in anything. That being said, the Headbangers had a great gimmick, but wrestling talent, not so much. Still, I give it to the 'Bangers here because of how badly the Bashams truly do suck.
Winners: The Headbangers

Paul London & Brian Kendrick vs. Power & Glory
Another easy pick here. You'd think the big and strong Power & Glory would take it, but no way in hell baby. London & Kendrick are some of if not the most exciting wrestlers the WWE has to offer. Their moves and their time as a team over the years have already proven them to be of legendary status in the world of tag team wrestling. Plus, I can't think of a single person who enjoys anything Paul Roma ever does. Fuck you Roma, and thanks for ruining the Horsemen asshole.
Winners: Paul London & Brian Kendrick

World's Greatest Tag Team vs. Cade & Murdoch
I'll agree that Cade & Murdoch have shown great potential in the tag world right now, but WGTT have been the diamond in the rough of the WWE for years now. They never get a push, but always end up outperforming almost everyone on the card usually. Give Cade & Murdoch a few years to show their stuff, and who knows, but right now, this is an easy decision for the WGTT.
Winners: World's Greatest Tag Team

TNA Region Area 4

The Brainbusters vs. The Mega Powers
Man, what a blockbuster match this would've been in these men's 80s prime. Can you imagine how big of a main event this would be? Two of arguably the NWA's greatest legacies versus two of the WWE's greatest legacies? Awesome. That being said, I made this argument before, and I'm sticking to it: Hogan & Savage were not a good team. They were primarily a vehicle to keep Hogan in the main event. Not a lot of thought put into it, especially if you bring in the Elizabeth factor. I can see the Mega Powers self destructing before the Brainbusters even get a chance to break 'em. Brainbusters are a Dark Horse to win this whole thing IMO.
Winners: The Brainbusters

Strike Force vs. Team Canada
I don't understand how anyone could go with Team Canada. We're talking about Rick Martel and Ricky Steamboat in one team people. Did you read that correctly? MARTEL AND STEAMBOAT. That team was possibly the most technically sound, ever. Steamboat alone could beat both of Team Canada. Don't get me wrong, I really dig Roode & Young, but come on, they don't even compare to the likes of Martel & Steamboat at this point, and probably never will.
Winners: Strike Force

The Road Warriors vs. The Natural Gang
Butch Reed was phenomenal. Absolutely phenomenal. That being said, the Gang doesn't stand a snowballs chance in hell against the likes of the Warriors. Easy victory here with the Doomsday Device in two minutes flat.
Winners: The Road Warriors

Ivan & Nikita Koloff vs. Barry Windham and Dustin Rhodes
If Windham had been paired up with someone else, odds are I'd go with him on this one. However, having watched hours and hours of old NWA/WCW TV from the mid 80s, Nikita was the definition of a powerhouse monster before that concept was even around. Sure, there was Andre, but he was mainly a face through most of his career. Nikita was one scary lookin motherfucker back when he was still bald and had muscles that looked like they were going to pop out at any second. Ivan was always the weak link of the two, that being said though, with a partner like Rhodes and all the bad blood between him and Windham, I've gotta give it to the Koloffs. The closest match so far though IMO.
Winners: Ivan & Nikita Koloff

So we're looking at potentially
Money Inc. vs. The Headbangers
London & Kendrick vs. WGTT (Oh my god I would orgasm just watching a match as great as this one, I have no idea who wins this one, real debate coming over this one for sure)
The Brainbusters vs. Strike Force (Another match I would love to see in their prime)
Road Warriors vs. Koloffs (Can you say old school Tower of Doom match?)

Oh Shocky, what would we do without your fantasy tournaments..

Well, Shitty few hours guys, sorry about the delay. Just had to bury my 16 year old cat, and believe me, it sux ass. The show must go on I guess, so here we go. I'll get into more detailed results like in the original, but today, I'm really not all here.

So first round results from ECW Region: Area 3

1. 3. Money Inc. (The Million Dollar Man Ted DiBiase and IRS) vs. 30. 3 Minute Warning (Rosey and Jamal)

Money Inc.

73%
3 Minute Warning
26%

2. 14. The Bashams (Basham and the Damaja) vs. 19. The Headbangers (Mosh and Thrasher)

The Bashams
52%
The Headbangers
47%

3. 6. Paul London and Brian Kendrick vs. Power and Glory (Paul Roma and Hercules)

Londrick

83%
Power and Glory
16%

4. 11. The World's Greatest Tag Team (Shelton Benjamin and Charlie Haas) vs. Lance Cade and Trevor Murdoch

WGTT
83%
Cade and Murdoch
16%

So these are the 2nd round matchups now made.
3. Money Inc vs. The Bashams
Paul London and Brian Kendrick vs. The World's Greatest Tag Team

Now onto today's matchups. The following matches take place in the TNA Region, inside of the Impact Zone. All matches take place inside of the six sided ring.

Match 1:

The B.W.O.

Match 2:

Saints:

* NWA Florida Tag Team Championship (1 times)

* Mid-Atlantic Championship Wrestling

* NWA World Tag Team Championship (Mid-Atlantic version) (1 time)

The Poll is now closed

Match 1:
1. Demolition (Ax and Smash) vs. 32. The B.W.O. (Blue Meanie and Hollywood Nova)

Do I need to go through this one Demolition beats the b.W.o into a pulp even though Nova is a good Tag Team Wrestler. A record holding duo Vs. a Parody obviously Demolition.

Match 2:
16. The 2nd City Saints (C.M. Punk and Colt Cabana) vs. 17. The Perfect Event (Chuck Palumbo and Sean Stasiak)

2nd City Saints take this one two of the best workers Vs. two guys that haven't really done anything really special. Maybe its because I am a Colt Cabana and CM Punk mark.

Match 3:
8. La Resistance (Sylvan Grenier and Rob Conway) vs. 25. Masato Tanaka and Balls Mahoney

People underestimate Balls Mahoney as a Wrestler, he was at one stage an Amateur Wrestler but was banned for punching out a ref. He may be known as a Hardcore Wrestler but he can pull good matches off without weapons, look at the one with Masato Tanaka at ONS2 at least until the inclusion of Weapons. So I am going with Tanaka and Mahoney

Match 4:
9. The Naturals (Andy Douglas and Chase Stevens) vs. Dusty Rhodes and Dick Slater

I went with Dusty on this one, while the Naturals have the regional advantage, Experience should come into play and see a Bionic Elbow to both Andy Douglas and Chase Stevens.

Aww Shockey I'm sorry your cat died :(

On to the last two regions...

The Brainbusters vs. the Mega Powers
As a lot of you know I'm a big Hogan fan, but I absolutely hate Randy Savage, so it makes this decision just a little easier for me I guess. There's no denying how good of a team the Brainbusters were. As individuals, Hogan and Savage win this easily. But as a tag team things change, the dynamics of the match change. I think this one should be closer than it's going to show up as on the results, but there's no doubt the Brain Busters would take it in the end.
Winners: The Brain Busters

Strike Force vs. Team Canada
I'm a BIG fan of Rick Martel, unfortunately I haven't seen enough of him. Tito Santana is obviously one of the greats as well from what I've seen of him. Team Canada I don't really like, but I can't deny they're talented and have the experience of the six-sided ring, and more experience with each other. Strike Force beat the Hart Foundation but didn't really last that long and were pretty much a generic face team. Based on experience with each other and the TNA factor, I unfortunately have to go with Team Canada. Oh well, neither team would've made it past the next round anwyay!
Winners: Team Canada

The Road Warriors vs. The Natural Gang

Butch Reed is obviously one of the greats, and One Man Gang is underrated because people these days don't like big men in wrestling anymore. Regardless of this, The Road Warriors are the best fuckin tag team of all time. They should win this match easily. They might struggle a little with OMG but I don't see why they don't take this with ease.
Winners: The Road Warriors

The Koloffs vs. Dustin Rhodes & Barry Windham

Dustin Rhodes is another underrated wrestler, and Windham is obviously one of the greats. But the Koloffs were just too damn good as a team, and had a great gimmick, for the time especially. They should take this one in what would be I guess a pretty good match.
Winners: the Koloffs

-------

Demolition vs. the B.W.O.

Should we even have this match? Meanie and Nova would never amount to anymore more than Jobbers outside ECW. Demolition is one of the greatest teams of all time if not the greatest team of all time, and had a crazy gimmick (unlike BWO, which was just a cheap joke of a good gimmick). Anything less than 100% for Demolition is a joke.
Winners: Demolition

2nd City Saints vs. The Perfect Event

Well it looks like Palumbo might have a little life in him if they can actually do something of value with his new gimmick. But so far, in what would be considered their "prime", both Palumbo and Stasiak are nothing more than jobbers. Shawn will be nothing more than the son of a mediocre champion and Palumbo's that Italian dude who was gay with Billy Gunn (yeah, I thought I had that erased from my memory too...). While we have yet to see the best of Punk and Cabana, they're still very young and have already impressed many. This shouldn't be too hard for anyone.
Winners: 2nd City Saints

La Resistance vs. Tanaka and Mahoney

Many people don't like La Resistance. They underrate them because they were a heel gimmick that inspires genuine hate (like Mohammed Hassan) and they dominate a time in WWE that didn't have that many great tag teams. But they truly are a good team, possibly could've been even better if given more time and more exposure (and Grenier and Dupree stuck together as well). Conversely, Mahoney's a guy who yells ball and Tanaka is a great individual wrestler but I don't think much of him as a tag team wrestler, especially with mahoney, a team that just seems thrown together. If the ECW fanboys come out and give them this match, I'm sorry but it's a joke. La Resistance SHOULD win this one.
Winners: La Resistance

The Naturals vs. Rhodes and Slater

I know the naturals are more of a team, and have more experience as a team, but Rhodes and Slater are just too good, as individuals or whatever, and will take the young naturals to school. I have to vote for Rhodes and Slater here.
Winners: Rhodes and Slater.

Potential Round 2 matches:

Brain Busters vs. Team Canada (Squash)
Road Warriors vs. the Koloffs (closer than the first one but should be obvious... can't wait for Busters vs. Warriors!)

Demolition vs. Second City Saints (is anyone else intrigued by this match?)
La Resistance vs. Rhodes and Slater (another interesting one.)

Edit: Who wants to be the one that tells X that Ricky Steamboat WASN'T in strike force?

First off you have the wrong team Stirke force was Martel and Santana not Steamboat. I dont know if Martel ever teamed with the Dragon
Second if this tourney goes long enough expect to see that WGTT v London Kendrick match on Tv so we can let that match decide it
Excuse me for being so late here, my internet

1. Demolition (Ax and Smash) vs. 32. the B.W.O. (Blue Meanie and Hollywood Nova)
The BWO was funnier than the NWO but that it. Their oponents are the most dominant tag team ever. But could anyone refresh me what Demoltion's finishing move was for the life of me I just cant picture it.

16. The 2nd City Saints (CM Punk and Colt Cabana) vs. 17. the Perfect Event (Shawn Stasiak and Chuck Palumbo)
Never seen second city in action but dont have to. their opponets are jokes and from I know of Punk he could handle these rejects himself.

La Resistance (Rob Conway and Sylan Grenier) vs. 25. Masato Tanaka and Balls Mahoney
Never cared for le Res but tehy reined me of teh Quebecers capable wrestlers who got overly hated for being antiamerican. But this in an ecw ring where chairs and tables are legal I have to give it to Balls and Tanaka but this isnt and they arent so Le Res gets an uncondtional surrender from Xanta Claus

9. The Naturals (Andy Douglas and Chase Stevens) vs. 24. Dusty Rhodes and Dick Slater
Just like the Megapowers you have two guys who A are singles wrestlers and 2 fought as often as tagged. While AMW is one of teh best teams of the 2000's (admittedly that is like being the best lawman in Maybery) I give it to AMW

for there finisher I think somebody stumbled of the middle rope and hit there opppent with an elbow while the other guy held them there. other then that there isn't much i can tell you about what they did.

Demolition v. BWO
I'm a fan of both teams, but clearly this would not be a close match. The Demo's were one of the most dominant teams of the 80's. The combo of Stevie and Nova was not even the most dominant pairing of the BWO. No contest here.
Winner: Demolition

2nd City Saints v. Perfect Event
Another squash in my opinion. Cabana and Punk are heads above Stasiak and Palumbo in every aspect of wrestling except for size.
Winner: 2nd City Saints

La Resistance v. Balls & Tanaka
Balls and Tanaka would absolutely dominate this match. Balls, in his prime, was one of the most talented wrestlers in ECW. He could do a little bit of everything in the ring. Tanaka is also a very well rounded wrestler.
Winner: Balls & Tanaka

The Naturals v. Dusty Rhodes & Dick Slater
I think this would be the closest match out of the bunch today. The Naturals are a very talented young team, however, I think that the smashmouth style of the veterans would overpower them.
Winner: Rhodes & Slater

BrainBusters vs MegaPowers: Brainbusters
Strike Force vs Team Canada: Strike Force (I was expecting Strike Force to win this one by a landslide)
Road Warriors vs Natural Gang: Road Warriors
Koloffs vs Rhodes/Windham: Koloffs

Okay, missed the 2nd wave, but have 3 and 4 now.

The Brainbusters vs. The Megapowers
Gosh do I really not like Hulk Hogan, despite my limited of exposure to the Brainbusters, what I have seen is just pure dominance when it comes to tag team wrestling. Hulk Hogan, the biggest ego in the history of wrestling, could only be carried to tag gold by the greatest tag team wrestler ever (cheap Edge plug). But with all that being said.
The Brainbusters Even though I know the Hogan marks are hiding and not posting in fear of being killed by XFear.

Strike Force vs. Team Canada
I have never actually seen Strike Force in action as a team, but have seen both Rick Martel and TITO SANTANA, yes Tito Santana was in SF, not Ricky Steamboat, as individuals. Even though Team Canada has more 6-sided ring experience, I still am gonna give the nod to the vets because no interference = no Coach D'Amore to wreak havoc on the outside.
Strike Force

The Road Warriors vs. The Natural Gang
SQUASH!! WHAT A RUSH!!
The Warriors

The Koloffs vs. Dustin Rhodes and Barry Windham
A match where I am not very familiar with either team and in the end went with the Rhodes and Windham just to spite the WWE for all the years they destroyed the excellent talent of Rhodes under the Goldust gimmick.
Rhodes/Windham

----------

Demolition vs. The b.W.o
Man you guys are crazy not picking the Blue Guy and Hollywood Nova! One hell of a team, oh wait we're being serious? OK fine Demolition can have this one, but they pin the Meanie, not Nova!!
Demolition

The 2nd City Saints vs. The Perfect Event
What the hell kind of name is the Perfect Event? CM Punk is one of the best in ring performers of this current age and that cannot be said for either of his opponents. And who the even knows if the real Sean Stasiak even exists or would show up for this match.
The Saints in an extended squash.

La Resistance vs. Masato Tanaka and Balls Mahoney
I totally forgot about Xanta Claus, but I agree with anyone who says that people treat La Resistance in low esteem because they were anti-America heels. But, I still believe these guys are actually good in the ring, and the same cannot be said for "Balls". They were fortunate to be apart of a weak tag division, but they did win the titles from the Dudleyz at one point, I believe and Benoit/Edge on another, so they do have some talent. But, back to the point after my long rant on how underrated La Resistance is.
La Resistance

The Naturals vs. Dusty Rhodes and Dick Slater
The Naturals are a team that I am currently hating TNA for not using on TV more often, about a year and a half ago I saw these guys in tag action against AMW at a house show and the match was sick. They are given a rough break by a lot of people, but as good they are/could be. They cannot match up to a team the caliber of Dusty Rhodes and Dick Slater. Maybe if this was AMW (like michiganj24 accidentally claimed it to be) they would pull it off, but not even in the six-sided ring will Andy Douglas and Chase Stevens pull this one out.
Dusty Rhodes and Dick Slater

Potential 2nd Round Matchups:

Brainbusters vs. Strike Force - could be a good match, but we all know what the outcome will be.

Road Warriors vs. Dustin Rhodes/Barry Windham - let's just get that Warriors/Busters third round match we've all been waiting for

Demolition vs. 2nd City Saints - this would actually be a very entertaining match

La Resistance vs. Dusty Rhodes/Dick Slater - I think I am in the minority, but I could see an "upset" here. I guess I am a La Resistance "mark" if those even exist.

Demolition vs B.W.O
I like Nova, but the Blue Meanie is just a big fat waste of space, and Demolition are well... Demolition. Demolition totally destroy the BWo in this one.

Demolition

The 2nd City Saints vs The Perfect Event

Must admit that I dont mind Palumbo, but hate Stasiak he is a waste of space to. Im hoping Chuck's new WWE run will erase the memories of Billy/Chuck. But the face the second city saints. Punk is amazing and Cbana aint too shabby either. So the Second City Saints take his one rather easily.

Winners: The 2nd City Saints

La Resistance vs Masato Tanaka and Balls Mahoney
Well Im a fan of La Resistance they were great when they were together. It was a real shame just how much they were buried by the WWE after their intial run, even though the tag division has sucked for a while. Im a fan of Masato Tanako, but to me Balls is, has and will always be shit.

Winners: La Resistance

The Naturals vs Dusty Rhodes and Dick Slater
I so wanted to go with the Naturals with this one. I very much dislike Dusty Rhodes, but cant deny what he has done. The Naturals are good and have talent and of course the six sided ring will be to their liking. But I still dont think they can get it done against Rhodes and Slater.

Winnrs: Dusty Rhodes & Dick Slater

Match 1:
1. Demolition (Ax and Smash) vs. 32. The B.W.O. (Blue Meanie and Hollywood Nova)

Not a big fan of Demolition.. Never have, I always thought they were overrated and how they got a number one seed is beyond me. With that said I'm going with the BWO.. Not the greatest tag team but hell they were funny and when it came down to it they could actually wrestle. WINNER: BWO

Match 2:
16. The 2nd City Saints (C.M. Punk and Colt Cabana) vs. 17. The Perfect Event (Chuck Palumbo and Sean Stasiak)

2nd City Saints are taking this one. Yes, Palu,bo and Stasiak are big guys but Punk and Cabana are fine wrestlers and they should have no problem taking these guys out. WINNER: 2nd City Saints

Match 3:
8. La Resistance (Sylvan Grenier and Rob Conway) vs. 25. Masato Tanaka and Balls Mahoney

La Resistance there a decent tag team... But there no Tanaka and Balls. Yes Tanka and Balls are hardcore but they both can wrestle. Mahoney if I'm correct actually comes from an amtauer background. Should be a decent match but once again I'm going with the lower seed and picking Balls and Tanaka.. WINNER: BALLS & TANAKA

Match 4:
9. The Naturals (Andy Douglas and Chase Stevens) vs. Dusty Rhodes and Dick Slater

Young Vs Old... The Naturals are a good team but Rhodes and SLater are nasty and old school.. The six sided ring will work in The Naturals favor so I'm pick them to take it, even tho I hope Rhodes and Slater do. WINNERS: The Naturals

Okay somebody please dropkick me in the jaw for mistaking that Strike Force was Steamboat & Martel, Santana, Steamboat, they sound similiar right? Alright shut up I was drunk! And...and...my dad could beat up your dad!

Anyways, this rounds predictions (Oh and am I crazy or did Dusty Rhodes also tag with Dick Murdoch in his early days? I was wondering if I was confused or not because he's teaming with Dick Slater)

TNA Region Area 1

Demolition vs. the BWO
Wow. What a terrible pick for the BWO. Nova being actually a very good wrestler and all, he'd be wonderful to see in a six sided ring. But facing a team like Demolition...well...they don't stand a fucking chance. Demolition does exactly what their name implies in this round.
Winners: Demolition

The 2nd City Saints vs. The Perfect Event
Is this a joke? Lets see here, we have one team of two of the greatest younger wrestlers around today in CM Punk & Colt Cabana...versus the guy who played Meat and one half of the first gay tag team in WWE history. Wow. What a shocker.
Winners: The 2nd City Saints

La Resistance vs. Masato Tanaka & Balls Mahoney
While La Resistance is a fantastic tag team, and Dupree was actually a rather excellent wrestler, I'm going to probably be in the minority here and go with Tanaka & Mahoney. First off, I'm a huge Masato mark. The dude is fucking insane. IMO he could destroy La Resistance by himself. Add in someone who is as criminally underrated as Balls Mahoney (watch his match against RVD at Anarchy Rulz 99) and you've got a hell of a team. Alot of people tend to forget that Balls actually is a very accomplished amateur wrestler, and the very few and rare times he was given to actually put on a wrestling match and not a hardcore match, he always showed it. I'm going with Tanaka & Mahoney here, though I'm sure I'm in the minority on that one.
Winners: Balls Mahoney & Masato Tanaka

The Naturals vs. Dusty Rhodes & Dick Slater
The Naturals may have been a pretty good looking team, but how in gods name could we compare them to a team featuring the American Dream? Sure, Dusty was never exactly a skilled wrestler, but man was he one tough sonofabitch in his early heel days. Not to mention one of the greatest entertainers, ever. Overall, the experience between Rhodes & Slater is something like a century's worth of time, so I'm going with the vets here.
Winners: Dusty Rhodes & Dick Slater

So we're looking at potentially
Demolition vs. 2nd City Saints
Balls & Tanaka vs. Dusty Rhodes & Dick Slater

Wow, thats a pretty boring round.
