The [Official] Smackdown vs. Raw 2008 Thread

In a video i watched, i saw the logo on a display screen in the background and i looked but couldn't find one so i tried to make it like the one i saw.

I've played the Halo 3 Beta and they have an option where you can record your match. I think that would be a sweet addition to SvR 08. I think it would be sweeter still if you could use clips from matches you saved in your entrance.

I don't know about you guys but I hate creating a guy and then using a real Superstars music or video, and the logo just isn't doing it anymore. Even stock generic movies would be better. Then again after you make your entrance how often do you actually watch it?

Speaking of entrances, more tag team entrance animations would be nice too.

I think the tag entrances should be like creating a singles entrance. I made Jeff Hardy and his entrance his awesome but the Hardys together look shite, because they come out with the same entrance as the bashams.

A generic 3 man tag entrance would be nice as well.

I want more superstars danmit!!!, they always give only half of the roster in these games, and I tired of going in a createing all of the guys they constantly leave out, I also want a feature that allows you to move your created wrestlers to the next game sothat I don't have to start from scratch, another thing would be to allow more wrestlers on your roster in the GM mode, and more match types to be availabe in the ppvs, and if "Vince" is going add some sort of speacial match or something to an upcoming ppv, I would like to know several weeks in advance so I can create storys/rivalrys around it, and lastly I would also like to know why every time I whip my oppenent into the turn buckle he always ends up falling down upon impact, I can never throw them into the turnbuckle and just get them to stay in the standing position, is there a sesnetivity thing with the conrtoller that I just haven't mastered yet or what?

oh one more thing how come I can't set people on the announce table and climb to the top of the HIAC and do the frogsplash, that would be the greatest ending for a HIAC match ever (in videogame world anyway)

In regards to the turnbuckle thing, just tap the irish whip buttonsif you want them to stay there. If you hold on you do a powerful whip which knocks them over.

Id love it if for once they did a full roster... even if it was just for one brand.

Create an arena/PPV would be good. but I doubt arena would work cos how often during a match do you look at the stands??

Someone mentioned before about a ladder glitch... what ladder glitch? The only glitch ive hated from the past 2 games was the music sometimes messed up and ended up playing music during loading screens and during the match instead of commentary and when I did get commentary I got stuff about wrestlers who werent even in the match.

Id love what someone said before about being able to put music from your harddrive into youre entrances, and putting your own video into the entrance movie. Youd see some awesome entrance movies that ppl would make for this.

The tag team moves coming out to the ring have gone down hill. I remember when Taker was on his bike you had about 15 different tag team bike moves and other stuff and I cant even remember the one figure amount of tag team moves on 07.

More matches too. MITB with 8 ppl, punjabi prison, pudding match anyone?? lol.

The lader glitch is where you're stood at the bottom of the ladder press your finisher button and just end up at the top of the ladder without climbing it.

Didnt realize there was a video game section, so i got warned for spamming, Anyways, this is what I think of the game...


So, I was just wondering what everyone thought about the new game set to come out around christmas of '07 (Sorry, Holiday's Of '07)

I for one think its gonna be awesome, I cant wait to play it, the gameplay of it has gotten better every year so far since the first ps2 smackdown game... Now the only problem is that the "Create A Wrestler" has somewhat gone downhill. Like the lack of clothing options in '07. But I have to say I am looking foreward to the game, Very much...

Some things I would like to see them incorporate...

-The Ability to Download new wrestlers into your roster
-The ability to Upload your own music from your X-box or PS2/3 hard drive to use as entrance music.
-more versatility with weapons (Since ECW is in it, I wanna be able to do like Sabu's chair moves... Being able to jump off almost anything my character can get ontop of (Hell in a cell swanton? that would be amazing! haha))
-A larger Roster
-MITB match works correctly
-to win TLC match you have to climb ladder and grab belts

As you can tell I am looking forward to this game like a 5 year old on christmas eve.

The Divas could be cut down, And as you can see I DID NOT include RVD, since more than likely he wont be there.

Also if they HAD to cut down ECW I would hope it wouldn't be by very much, And the fact that Sabu isnt around does not mean they couldnt have the chair diving moves.

Also I really hope that there will be three season mode options, RAW, SD!, and ECW.

Some new images of the latest Smackdown vs. Raw game. It's looking pretty impressive. I cant wait to get a game for my PS3, haven't played on the thing yet. At least with ECW being involved there will be a wider variety of new wrestlers than previous years.

I cant see you pics sir, but i'm with you on that i can not wait to play this game on my PS3. Out of my new PS3 games that graphics are unbelievabel and i really think this will make for a great game. I agree with ECW being there as more wrestlers be better as with the last game there are two few. Hopefully they make the season better as that still sucks IMO.

Chris Benoit will not be on this game as WWE has demanded that all references to him are removed from the game and they will not let it be released until this happens.

Well since this is on the official website then I am pretty sure it is the official cover for the game.

Are you forgetting that these 3 were the top champions on Raw, Smackdown and ECW at the end of WM23. Also these 3 probably sell more merchandise than anyone else (faces only) and are favourites of little kids who are predominantly going to be the main selling group for this game.

Man, I can't wait for this game. It's definitely going to be the best game of the series. The new addition of fighting styles should make it more fun to play with certain superstars.

as far as i havr read, that is one area they havn't commented on, so they either haven't made any imporvements and its still going to be quite poor, or they are saving it till last as they mave made a massive improvement
