No, it wouldn't. The fact that they are both associated with Heyman doesn't mean it makes sense.
The fact that they are both associated with Heyman is what makes it make sense. Team Punk is lead by Punk, but Heyman will be in their corner. Heyman is the one who choose all of Punks teammates. Punk trusted him with that, and Heyman choosing Brock would have made perfect sense.
Plus, Punk has talked both on and off screen about how he isn't a fan of the part time guys walking in and taking main event slots, so why would he even want Lesnar on the team?
Because Punks character has become slightly more of a coward. Punk's character would appreciate a big man like Brock on his team. Who cares how he feels about part timers in real life?
This is one of the things that drives me nuts about the IWC. They talk about how WWE's booking is stupid and makes no sense, then they get pissed because WWE didn't use some crazy, illogical booking idea.
I didn't get pissed. I simply said WWE should have put Lesnar in the match. And, you're technically a part of the IWC.
