Crock, do you use GIMP to make your signatures? And how do you work with brushes without downloading anything, do you just find fitting backgrounds off of google, and then work with what you have in the default brushes?

No, I use Photoshop CS4. I make my own backgrounds, really simple man. Using pre-made backgrounds sucks (unless you use them to create your own).

Try taking your render and layering it all over the background, so that it's all covered, then distort it with a wave effect or something, then you can put a photo filter or a gradient over that.

I don't download brushes either. I use the default stuff, I mean, I'll make my own sometimes, but not all that often.

Go to www.sigtutorials.com for some solid help. Try out www.officialpsds.com for some nice renders too.

Photoshop sounds loads better then GIMP, other then the price. How much did you purchase Photoshop for?
