The NXT Thread Is Like Ring of Honor's Bay-Bay!

I'm so tempted to click the NXT taping spoilers, especially when the main page says "HUGE DEBUT FROM ROH" but I've been getting into it lately and so I wanna just find out as I watch.

Decisions decisions

EDIT: I gave in. It's not
Adam Cole
as I had expected, but instead
Bobby Fish

I'll probably end up forgetting by tomorrow as I just skimmed.

After recent events, you'll have a hard time convincing me it's a good idea for anyone to leave NXT.

Hey man, no one does a better job of not being on the show at all than Tye Dillinger, The Revival and American Alpha (sans last weeks comet-like appearance from Chad Gable )

Bayley's women's title run, from start to finish, was unbelievably botched. It was if they were trying to take the wind out of her sails. Such an easy character to book and they absolutely fucked it.

The thing is now with Bayley is that WWE has accidentally laid the groundwork for her to eventually make the most of her character. Indeed, her presentation and losing streak should continue for months to turn up the sympathy for her eventual redemption, beating Dana, Mickie and Emma in normal matches to build her up, then getting her revenge on Alexa and then Nia, followed by the big blow-off title matches against a heel Sasha.

I agree. I was expecting WWE to gain advantage of her John Cena-esque character but it was botched damn hard. I hope that it works the right way this time.

I think this is the latest in your "Entirely plausible, good ideas that will somehow never happen" series.

So at the break during the Itami/Lorcan rematch tonight, a Great Balls of Fire package aired... But it was the Lesnar/Joe audio and the Reigns/Strowman video.
Dunn Dunn Dunn!

It’s a new taping cycle here and that means a major change in the commentary team. This time around Mauro Ranallo has taken over the lead play by play role which should help for tonight’s main event. Tonight, Asuka defends her Women’s Title against Nikki Cross in a Last Woman Standing match. Let’s get to it.

One of the Hardest Things to do

Lorcan is great. If he was fifty pounds heavier and two inches taller he would get pushed as a killer.

Unpopular opinion, but I wasn't really into the women's match. It had some solid spots, but that's about all it was for me. We all knew that Asuka wasn't going to drop the title yet, so that killed some of it, but I felt like a lot of the bigger spots were telegraphed. When Cross started to stack chairs outside, you knew they weren't coming into play right away, and as soon as the announcers started to scoot away from the desk, you knew the finish.

I'm just disillusioned with Asuka right now. We all know Ember Moon is going to be the one to beat her. It's been obvious for a while, and the finish to their first match made it painfully obvious. It's just like they are setting up random challengers and giving stipulations because it's the only way they can make her challengers interesting because we all know they have no chance.

I would prefer Asuka just to vacate the title upon coming up to the main roster. I think Paige did that? It wouldn't hurt any women down in NXT. She's already beaten everyone. If Ember Moon beats her it's not as big of a deal as she lost already once to her.

The title shows continue as we have the NXT Title on the line tonight. Bobby Roode has gotten far underneath the skin of Roderick Strong, including talking about Strong’s wife. The title is up for grabs tonight with a ticked off Strong wanting both the title and a measure of revenge. Let’s get to it.

Its another big night tonight as we have the NXT Tag Team Titles on the line with the Authors of Pain defending against Heavy Machinery. In addition to that we have Johnny Gargano making his big return to the show after Tommaso Ciampa turned on him at Takeover: Chicago. Let’s get to it.

Brooklyn Is That Way

The whole Killian/Drew thing was moot to begin with as Drew is the guy being groomed for the next run, but the Sanity/AoP stare down just shows that NXT writing has hit a low.

Gargano is OK on the mic and I fast forwarded.

Some of the women wrestlers are not that good in the tourney so I fast forwarded.

KO/Itami bores me.

The ME was cool but I dunno except for Aleister/Fish nothing really stood out.

Nothing really is standing out in NXT except Roode's run and Aleister's rise.

Drew is yeah..ok he's alright, I dunno whateverthefuck.

I've been loving it. Mainly Drew McIntyre, Aleister Black, Asuka, Ember Moon, Authors Of Pain, Nikki Cross, Bobby Roode. Somewhat Hideo.

Is there anybody in wrestling right now with a cooler a) entrance, b) finisher, c) t-shirt, d) look, or e) taunt than Aleister Black? I was already a fan of him when he was Tommy End but he's taken to WWE like a duck to water. I don't see how Vince doesn't look at him and see a giant talking dollar bill.

Seriously. I know it's probably just an unused Undertaker entrance but the rising from the grave thing is up there with Gangrel and Rey Mysterio when it comes to cool as fuck entrances. But this is probably all in poor taste considering Bobby Fish's body isn't even cold yet.

Honestly, I don't see what is so great about Black Mass. It is just another big kick finisher in a company where numerous people use something similar. It is also almost identical to many of the kicks that Black does during his matches.

This. It's yet another kick. Not that it's a bad kick or anything, but still.

Even the Great Mauro Ranallo couldn't tell the difference (He didn't call the kick Black Mass during the PBP this week against Bobby Fish and didn't seem to think it would be the finish).
