The NXT Thread Is Like Ring of Honor's Bay-Bay!

When Bobby Roode cowers in the corner literally crying to the ref about how Nakamura's knee broke his beautiful face, only to sucker Shinsuke in, thumb him in the eye, roll him up and somehow grab the ropes with both hands and feet, all the while pulling on the tights, to get the 1-2-3 and the title...

Are you saying this will take more than a year? Both men are VERY ready to come to a Raw or Smackdown in my opinion, especially considering their age. I would love a 6 month program with them, but then one of them, more likely Nakamura going to a main show. Roode can then go on to feud with Aries, maybe a revisiting James Storm, or maybe even someone like Hideo Itami and then drop the title to that person, and follow Nakamura.

I'm hoping HHH allows TM-61 to go over Authors of Pain, or whoever they are wrestling that night, considering they are both based out of Australia. Just seems like a nice little kick back. Also I feel like Heel Itami and Nakamura promos might not be the best just for broken English. While they both speak it, I have a feeling they might not be able to portray the emotion needed to go along with it to make it believable.

I wonder if this means that the Australian tour will not be getting a Takeover as a result?

They never officially announced a Takeover in Australia. From pure speculation based on the timing, successful overseas tours, the attendance of one venue being higher than the rest, and a story about Vince shooting down an idea to host a Takeover in Australia last year, all signs pointed to Australia.

However, the timezone difference is too great to host a live Takeover show, production costs may be expensive, and the uncertainty of selling out a show in Australia under the NXT banner might've been the reasons why they went to Toronto instead.

Toronto is a hot city, and they haven't had a major event in... shit, I can't remember. I want to say Wrestlemania? Sucks we don't get it, but Toronto deserves some love again.

I think the WWE is gonna marry up takeovers with the big four here. Already did it with Mania and Slam, now Survivor Series. Looks like that will be our four Takeovers per year, I expect to see it at royal rumble

I think that may be five. One near MITB which I expect to be in big 5 post brand split. MITB is mostly near June and NxT does have a TakeOver around that time too.

If they pair them up with Rumble, Mania, MitB, Slam and Series, it's absolutely perfect. They're spaced out enough to allow proper build, and it makes the weekends feel big. Sorry for the folks at Full Sail, but Takeovers are far too big now for that crowd.

And as amazing as the pop was for Roode in Brooklyn, it'll be dwarfed when he opens the show in Toronto.

I believe that Steve Cutler is, in fact, Old Biff from Back to the Future II...

We’re in an interesting place here as the next Takeover has been announced for November but the taping schedule hasn’t caught up to the announcement yet. Therefore we’re still in the fallout stage from Brooklyn, meaning we’re likely going to see some stuff being set up for the next big TV show. Let’s get to it.

Well You See.....What Happened Was.....

Character-wise, Joe is the most interesting thing they've done since Zayn... I really wanna see where it goes.

We’re slowly making our way to Toronto but first we need to get to the end of this taping cycle. The big story here is still Samoa Joe vs. Shinsuke Nakamura, which is probably going to headline the next Takeover. Other than that we have Bobby Roode vs. No Way Jose in a match that could have the crowd reacting in multiple ways. Let’s get to it.

And That's Ok

Finally Nakamura has to overcome some adversity. I'm glad.

Liv Morgan is lovely. And it's nice to NXT pick a girl and just go "Fuck it. Go out there and call out Asuka." The fans seemed to respect it, too.
