Quack used to get under my skin as well but I've grown to love him over the years, he really was SO influential and revolutionary during his time, he was really the first of the prototypical indy strong/lucha style wrestler that you see dominating the indies and wrestling over this last decade like AJ Styles, CM Punk, Davey Richards, etc. He was always more lucha-inclined but he was pretty the much sole highlight of the entire US indy scene during the late 90s, him and Reckless Youth (Tom Carter), without those guys you just wouldn't be seeing all these strong and lucha style oriented indy promotions all around the globe and US.

Quack grew on me slowly over the years, to the point where I'd consider myself a pretty big fan of the guy just for his sheer sense of humor and the great things he does at the Chikara school. He's produced some really awesome wrestlers out of there like Jigsaw, Frightmare, Hallowicked, and The Colony.

Dude, I think it's just the way he looks, to be honest. The guy looks like he just graduated from a trampoline federation, and he has just a twatish face.

Not dunking on his abilities, I have seen some of his six-man tags in Dragon Gate but he still doesn't curry any favour with me.

The match from the big Peter Piper show in Ryogoku? Oh wait no that was Marufuji-Omega. When was this Omega-Ibushi DDT match? Speaking of DDT have you seen the Daisuke Sekimoto vs HARASHIMA match from the Peter Piper show? If not, go back and watch that shit ASAP as it's a surefire match of the year candidate, Sekimoto gets me wet like a schoolgirl.

Not sure when the Omega-Ibushi match went down man, but you have to YouTube it, they really use their surroundings to great effects (especially for a Japanese promotion). Look for the soda machine spot. I'ma have a look for the Sekimoto-HARASHIMA match on the Tube now.

Speaking of DDT, when are they ever gonna put the strap on Yoshihino? I swear management are holding him down because he's a "professional wrestler" and not a "sports entertainer". Bloody politics these days.

It really is astounding that both Hero and Castagnoli aren't in the WWE, they're huge with great looks AND they're fucking brilliant wrestlers. I'm not sure if Daniels was in this year's BOLA but it wouldn't surprise me a bit, he's been traveling all over the place ever since TNA released him, he must be excited just to be able to work again as I've seen him pop up everywhere from ROH to AAA.

Yeah, I don't get how they have enough space on the roster in TNA for a Rob Eckos and yet they don't have the time of day for Chris and Claudio. I'm happy that Daniels is able to have a lot more freedom with his bookings, but I am worried he may not get back to the big times, it seems like his contract negotiations with TNA have fallen through.

Shelley is indeed gold, in my long-running quest to watch every ROH show ever (I'm currently in August of 2004) I'm currently highly enjoying watching Shelley and the whole Generation Next angle play out, I've always loved Shelley but never really got into his promo work until I've watched this angle.

I've seen bits and pieces of Generation Next, really makes me wonder what would have happened if Strong and Aries didn't no-show the TNA PPV that night, maybe they really would have been able to established themselves there, have the Paparazzi series revolve around that stable and have Nash mentor them. Maybe it would put them around the same position that Styles is in, as the newer younger talent that TNA showcases as the future. Ah well.

Hmm, I don't know. That Sekimoto-HARASHIMA match I mentioned is worth your time. Check out Takayama vs. Sugiura from the 7/10 NOAH show if you haven't, sickeningly stiff.

Dude, I love me some Suggi, most legitimate bad ass in the game today. Takayama's the one that held the IWGP heavyweight strap last year, right?

How DARE you forget YAMATO! Shame on you. For reals though, YAMATO is the fucking tits, nobody plays the slimy evil heel better.

I'm kicking myself for it. YAMATO would do wonders for himself if he got picked up by NJPW. I watched his Best of the Super Jr. Tournament match with Prince Devitt a few months back, Devitt threw YAMATO outside and just as he was about to go for the Tope Con Giro, the mad man flings a chair into the ring. Loved it, really nice touch, and not something that a Japanese crowd sees very often. Plus I love his finisher, Galleria.

Speaking of Dragon Gate, watched a pretty good match between Yoshino and Tigers Mask from a few weeks back, typically fun overbooked awesomeness as Dragon Gate can only do.

That's the funny thing about DG USA, where for most companies, overbooing is seen as a mistake, but not so for Dragon Gate. It's quite similar to Mexico and Japan's opening matches style of booking.
